A misleading ad about a ski package led me order it. The description was of skis and bindings and all the pictures showed the bindings mounted on the skis. There was one package price listed. I ordered them as such. I then received a shipping notification for the bindings with a separate price. I called immediately to cancel the order as I knew that having bindings mounted was not cheap. This was not what I budgeted for. I was told that everything was shipped, so the order could not be cancelled, but to call back when I received everything for an adjustment or to return the equipment. Btw, when ordering I was offered a 15% coupon, but then at checkout was told it didn't apply to my order. When I received the order, I checked with local ski shops and $100 was the lowest price I could find for mounting. I spent a half hour on the phone with a polite, understanding customer service rep inquiring about some type of credit. $25 was the offer. I pointed out how the ad was misleading, an offered coupon was not honored, and it would cost them more if I returned everything. I simply wanted at least half of the mounting cost reimbursed. The most frustrating aspect of this customer service interaction was that a supervisor will not get on the phone. The poor rep had to keep going back and forth. When she told me she could escalate the issue to a supervisor, I readily agreed, but she pointed out they would respond by email! THEY WILL NEVER GET ON THE PHONE AND SPEAK WITH SOMEONE!!! Beware when ordering ski boots as part of a package deal. Be sure of availability of sizes of ski boots with a package your purchase. I returned my boots and wanted to get the next size up. Since there were none available in my size, I received a refund (based on package pricing (about $80). If I want to get a larger size boot, I need to select another model/brand and pay the regular (non-package deal price), which means will need to spend approximately $200 more for a comparable boot, not including the $44 it cost to ship the first pair back. I do not recommend purchasing boots if you are not absolutely sure of the size you need. When I asked about the return, customer service said "We always recommend to go in and try different boots on before purchasing online". I was never given (nor saw online) this recommendation. read more

I purchased skis online from their website but called in to ask a bunch of questions before making my purchase and spoke with a guy named Evan he was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The skis were shipped quickly and arrive to me much quicker than expected. They have a great selection and great prices. I highly recommend Level Nine. read more

My order for skis had to be cancelled, and I requested a refund to my credit card, rather than store credit. The customer service people responded to my initial message on a same day basis, and processed my refund request promptly, so I received the refund to my credit card on a next business day basis. Took my daughter's bike over here to get both tire tubes replaced. She's too busy working as a medic and being a full time mom. Cameron was very helpful. He suggested that I should get a tune up and agreed to it. He stated the bike wouldn't be ready until the next day. Very cordial and informative. The following day, I picked up my daughter's bike, another staffer seemed annoyed to help me and reluctant to answer any of my questions. Not so friendly and just charged me over $100+. I'm not a bike expert. The last bike I had was a ten speed Schwinn. Receipt given by Zak. When I got home, the front tire was flat. Not so happy. Luckily my daughter has a pump. We'll see how it goes for the next few days. Can't take it back since I have to go out of town for a few months. SOL. Daughter will just have to figure it out. read more

My son and I stopped by looking for a jacket for him that's more fitted than what he already has for snowboarding. They had 2-3x's the selection of women's apparels and jackets and only a couple racks for men. Bummer because it's nice to support the local shops. I do plan to go back to buy my son a new snowboard when they go on clearance for spring outdoor gear. I forget they have bike maintenance in the spring and summer and their tune-up rates are reasonably prices compared to local bike shops. Very disappointed in the flippant and snarky responses offered by Scott T in the customer service chat. Level 9 shipping times are ridiculously long and they do not really mention this unless you are willing to dig into the sub pages of their website. Do not expect normal or reasonable shipping. They'll sit on your order forever, blame it on the holidays, and when you inquire they'll condescend and tell you that it is "clearly" stated. I've been wanting to get on the mountain for the longest time and they gave me all the things that i needed so that I could shred Sundance. The service here is phenomenal. If you ever come make sure to ask for them. They will help you out right. This is a great shop and would most def recommend anyone to come get their gear here! Online purchase experience was terrible. I ordered two pairs of ski poles. Currently looking at the order summary online, and in one place it says the item shipped, in another place on the same page it says 'awaiting shipping.' Never received an order confirmation email after purchase, or a shipping email (if it was indeed shipped), and I've scoured my junk/spam folders. Emailed to find out if they received the order or not. Basically I ordered the items, and then am left wondering what happened, and have to do my own sleuthing, and even then I'm not sure if it's been shipped or not. Clicked 'on line chat' on their website and nothing happens. Called customer service on a Friday at 10:30am, on hold for awhile, then it shifted to a message that they are closed. Super frustrating experience overall. Seems reasonable to expect at least an order confirmation email by now (5 days later) read more

I went into this shop for the first time, looking for a tech hoodie for snowboarding, as soon as I walked in Colin greeted me and offered his assistance he gave me his selection and was very friendly. This simple gesture that Colin made, goes a long way because I feel as if shops and stores "customer service" has gone down in recent years, it's great to see someone that seems happy at their job and glad to help anyone. So technically my skis got fixed but after a month of poor communication and broken assurances. I had a binding brake and they were to get a new part from the manufacturer. I called after a week because I was told that is how long it would take and was promised a detailed update from the manager when he was back in the office. I called a week later because I hadn't heard anything and then was promised another call. I did receive that call the next day and got an update on my repair. After two weeks I called to get another update because I didn't hear anything and was told that my part was unreplaceable. So I went to pick up my skis and they were somehow fixed. I'm very glad it was fixed but very unhappy with how I was communicated with and how long it took (over a month). I wonder how long my skis were sitting, fixed, with no one telling me to pick them up... read more

My wife dropped off my board off to get waxed, but didn't realize that they don't open until 10am. I wanted to leave at 8am so I contacted support (after hours) to see if there was anything they could do. The manager made plans to meet me at 8:45am! Much better than 10am. I give 2 stars only because I have had previous good experiences with this shop. Otherwise a solid one-star experience. Last year I purchased a brand new set of skis and bindings, poles and helmet from this shop. Great deal, good service. I said to them at the time that I need to wait to buy the boots as my kid will grow so I would wait and buy boots this fall. Of coarse that was fine with them and they said they would adjust them and cut the poles to size when I bought the boots. I bought a pair of used boots from this same shop a few weeks ago. Got a good deal, service was ok. Then, I brought all back to the shop to have the bindings adjusted to the boots and proper settings for my kid... The service guy said that would cost $15. I explained I had purchased everything there and it was an included service. He went to check with the manager. He came back and said the manager said $15 unless I have the receipts. I proceeded to show him the stickers still on everything identifying that I purchased them in their shop. He goes back to the manager and apparently the manager tells him to say "ok, but it will take a few days to do it." This is a less than five minute process for a customer who bought a full setup from their shop. The manager was, absolutely, clearly, just being lame - and on purpose. I've dealt with some employees at this shop who are helpful, but, this was very poor form by the manager. It was an unfortunate, dumb decision to be a jerk rather than just helping a customer out. I went home, looked up a DIN calculator and made the adjustments myself - took me about 10 minutes including looking up the proper settings. Maybe he was having a bad day. Maybe he's just a jerk. My girlfriend got her first ski package from them for a fraction of the cost and while placing the order she made a mistake with the height and weight sections. I went into Level Nine to check out some of the skis they had in stock, and found skis that I would like, but most were over $800, which my price range was maybe $500 at the most. I didn't notice a whole ton of variety in their shop (not the online website), but he pointed me towards a pair of $200 skis he had coming in that day. When I came in later, he had the skis out of the box and they appeared to look beyond average of what you'd get with $200 skis. I decided to pick the skis up the next day, waxed and everything, ready to hit up the shred. In the first two hours, the skis started showing obvious external wear when I was just riding powder. I guess I kinda got what I paid for, but the problem was the owner completely oversold me on the skis, and I ended up returning them immediately. I don't feel like I knew a whole ton on skis and I feel like he took advantage of me, more than normal sellers would do to sell the product. It wasn't a super big deal, because he let me return them right away. Don't get me wrong, though. The staff is super friendly and they all really knew what they were talking about. They had a small but appropriate section of ski boots and gear for hiking, biking, skiing and boarding. I probably wouldn't recommend Level Nine if you're new to skiing, but I wouldn't tell you to not give 'em a try. read more

Just drove into town from LA to ski. Called this shop 4 days ago to set up an appt for boot liner fitting. The gentleman that answered the phone said Saturday's appts don't work because they are so busy and I would be pushed anyway. I asked if I could still put my name in the list and he said "nope, no need to." I get to the shop today and the first question is do I have an appt? I told them about my conversation and just got funny looks. This is a classic ski shop with burn out ski bums that feel the need to tell you how smart they are and make you feel unwelcome as a customer (I only say this because that is normal and has nothing to do with my review. I am used to bad service with ski bums.). However, this was next level. I am then told the master boot fitter is gone but another guy would help me. After standing around for 40 minutes the ski tech comes to me and says ,"I'm putting you on your own. I am going to turn this machine on, it will heat your liners, when the buzzer goes off, put your boots on." Pretty much it. Sorry, boots are an expensive item that need to be done right the first time. He then threw the kid that had me come in without an appt under the bus one more time and left. That was it. The place was busy in his defense. Who staffs a ski shop in Utah the Sat before Xmas with 2 people? Trash experience. read more
