While I'm City center I decided to go back into one of my favorite stores Gucci and give them a second chance. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door and there was no wait which I was happy for. I'm usually a very patients person but the two times I was here prior were not Delightful. I was helped by Paul Tinsley who was so helpful and extremely professional. I was able to purchase the perfect gift to myself. He offered me champagne and water while I waited . The store was clean and smelled amazing. First time at this particular location and loved the experience! My 16 year old received a bag from her fairy God mommy for her bday. The bag was defective which prompted for an exchange. My sales rep Amanda was extremely helpful. I must warn you please don't ever take a teenage girl to Gucci. Insert.... Emoji with palm on face here. Her eyes opened wider than a kid at a candy store. Worst experience ever!! My family and I walked in. Kids sat down on chairs and adults walked around. As I looked in on products. I was looking through the beanies for a price tag... after 2-3 items couldn't find a price. My sister looked at the items too. The associate male with the long twisted hair just looked in on us and yelled out $450 ,didn't walk over. I walked to the woman's side and started a conversation with another woman associate about products. She was very informative. Then the twisted hair guy comes over to speak to her, whispering. She follows to an older gentleman. Calling him by his full name. Pleasantly greeting him. Then the champagne was offered to him. It was quite a scene. I was shocked, I didn't get the rolled out carpet!. I didn't even get the help I needed to purchase. All I can say is treat everyone with the same respect. Do your job and help your customers. Since my first Gucci leather goods purchase back in 1996....on a college budget I might add, I have always considered them to be a label that provides the utmost in quality products. I remember it like it was yesterday. I was so proud to take my part-time Macy's and college workstudy check to afford 1 (one), single Gucci belt! If you are from the DC area, you know what I am talking about.....The Gucci belt with the obnoxious "Big G" on it that looked like a door knocker to the doors of Buckingham Palace for a belt buckle! LOL! Yeah, I know....don't laugh. It was the style back then. And, to this day I still have that belt. It has held up quite well I might add. Recently I purchased their horse bit loafers and matching leather belt at this location and found that the quality of the leather on both items was both well-crafted, supple and refined. The break-in period on the shoes took only one evening, feeling like I was walking on cloud nine by the end of the night like they were custom made just for me. I cannot recommend Gucci highly enough, and encourage those who may feel the price is too high for their budget to start with a small leather good and go from there. You will find not only that the quality of the leather far surpasses other leather goods of similar status, but that the style and attention to detail will most certainly bring delight for years to come! read more

Absolute HOT MESS. For high end luxury retail, the staff is poorly trained and disheveled. They are inattentive and lack focus when assisting a guest. When one is looking to purchase a pair of shoes at a price of over $1000, I expect expert service and prompt, competent attention. It took a ridiculously long period of time to bring sizes to the sales floor and the staff kept wandering off. I'm convinced this is a fake Gucci store because it is positively off brand in service and selection. Save yourself the disappointment and order online. Was in the store twice recently. One of the customer service reps that we made a purchase with was very nice and friendly (Joey). However, on our second visit the customer rep was acting seriously bothered to provide any assistance and my wife felt completely ignored. Not that it matters, but we were both dressed appropriately as we we're going out for a nice dinner, and we were not "just browsing". This is not a great way to treat customers in a high end store. Here they have a lot of selections for his needs such as wallets, shoes, book bags, belts, and more. They had all the book bags that was available on their online store in this location. I originally ordered the interlocking G slides on 4/25/24. When I went to pick up the slides I tried them on and was iffy about how they appeared in the front. I asked the sales associate for a honest opinion, she retorted "I think they're absolutely fine". It came off as she wanted me to just take the item and go. (This was the salesperson who was conceived & just had the baby) horrible experience she even stopped and chatted with an older guy perhaps a usual shopper at that location as if she wasn't assisting me. I asked another shopper nearby and she assured I should definitely size up. I had this same associate exchange the size for me in which it would have been delivered in 2 days. I called up to the store and Shaniqua tried assisting in which she called the NY store for them to overnight me the sandals. I called back was on hold for a while few different times with some guy associate. He said the sandals would arrive tomorrow. I canceled the entire order. My boyfriend and I are a fan of Gucci, so we walked in to look around. As 20-year olds in streetwear, we aren't typically noticed in luxury stores. No one at Louis Vuitton even bothered to say hello (which is sad since I also love their products). However, Vinny warmly greeted us the moment we walked into Gucci and helped us throughout our visit. He was so friendly, knowledgeable about the products and company in general, and willing to show us different things - but at the same time, not overbearing or pushy about making sales. I ended up not buying anything because I am still thinking about which aces I want, but I got to try them on and figure out my size. We were interested in some other products that weren't available in the store, but he gave us his card and told us we could personally text him for future inquiries. Salespeople usually make me feel a little awkward, but I was impressed by him! I walked out of the store with a greater urge to buy Gucci in the future, so he did his job. Giving 4 stars because the *vibes* here weren't on par with what you should expect a luxury store. I stepped into this store and was greeted fairly coldly by everyone but security. I had to say hello before anyone greeted me, which is a bit off-putting (but it does happen in many luxury stores, sadly. "Vinny" is great, however, and please ask for him by name if you are ever in looking for something). I was looking for women's clothing, but they only carry Men's so I perused a bit there before I actually needed help and no one was around - so the security guard had to prompt someone to come over. This is a small, but not tiny, location and they carry a fair amount of items. Mostly women's handbags, small leather goods, shoes, jewelry, fragrance, and accessories, as well as men's clothing, shoes, and luggage. The Tyson's Galleria store has a wider selection but the assortment here is still really good. I've been in a couple times since my first (the subject of this review) and can confirm that they do get a handful of the trendier items. Vinicus "Vinny" was nearby finishing with someone who needed shoes and come over once he wrapped up. He was kind, patient, and walked me through some product options and recommendations. He was very knowledgeable about the product assortment in store and online, item availability, and the brand. Overall, I found him both pleasant and personable. He was not pressuring a sale or dismissive of any of my curiosities. I did not end up making a purchase here because he located the original product I was looking for in NYC (which is where I was going to be within 3 days of visiting the store here), but he gave me his card and he will be my SA for as long as he's there or in the DMV area :-) read more

The employee at the front door was so generous in opening the door upon my arrival to the entrance. The vibe and energy in the store was so attractive. The employees were acknowledging me as I toured around the store even if they were not the one assisting me. I also had the pleasure to meet the store manager Darren. He was so easy to talk to and approachable. He definitely had a lot of knowledge about any questions I asked about the brand it was like second nature to him. My time here was above board. I had a wonderful experience from the minute I entered the building up until I left. Customer service was outstanding. I wasn't dressed up or anything of the like. I was greeted as soon as a walked in. Every associate I saw was with a customer so I wasn't asked if I needed help right away which was fine with me.I took my time walking around looking at the purses and belts. An associate eventually asked if I needed help because he was finished with a customer and offered me something to drink. I tried on a couple of belts because that it what I came in for on this visit. I didnt feel rushed at all. I like this location because it's closer to me than the other locations in the DMV. I knew what I wanted when I came in (Princetown mules) and was greeted immediately to be helped. Another visit was with a friend shopping for watch and also had a pleasant experience. Fadi was a great help and keeps in touch to alert me of sales and new items coming into the store based upon my style which I appreciate. The accessories and shoes section trumps the ready-to-wear collection, with only a brief offering, so inquire within if there is something that you are looking for because they are normally able to find it for you without a problem. With their resurgence in the past two years it seems like more often than not styles run low or are out of stock here, but for the most part they are able to track it down for you.
