This outlet has it all. The focus is on shopping, so food choices tend to be slim and there are a few food trucks in a little park to help ease those hunger pains while shopping. The stores are always on trend and well-stocked with bargains. I've never had any issues at any of the shops finding what I need and the staff in the stores are always helpful. TONH is one of my favorite places to shop in-person. Great selection and regardless of the weather they always seem to have plenty of clientele. All my interactions with store reps have been professional and friendly. My husband loves to shop. We stop at outlets anytime we road trip. They are all pretty much the same at this point, in terms of store selection. However, the true difference is what each store carries. This location had good deals and options. We spent a reasonable amount, and left with many cute outfits for our family. This is your typical Tanger outlet mall that you find all across the country. There is a lot of parking, but I found it a bit difficult to get a spot during my Sunday visit. You can find all of your favorite outlet stores in the mall including Under Armour, Nike, Gap, New Balance, H&M, Old Navy, Crocs, Yankee Candle, Michael Cors, Oakley, Lids, and Claire's. The all is an outdoor strip mall and there is an awning that covers most walkways. The mall looks a little dated, disorganized and unkept. There is a few areas to sit, you will also find a few vending machines with drinks and snacks, an ATM and a few bathrooms. I believe that there are only 3 of them for the whole mall. If you are shopping here and you get hungry, they got you. They have limited options that include an Auntie Anne's, Planet Smoothie, Deli Express Factory, Furlough Cheesecake, Johnny Rockets, Sbarro, and Starbucks. The outlets have a pretty solid PGPD presence, so it is a pretty secure place. The outlets can get pretty packed during peak times, but I still enjoyed my shopping experience there and I saved a lot of money. read more

This place, Johnny Rockets, was extremely disappointing and blatantly racist. I went to Johnny Rockets with my mom to eat, and we were completely ignored from the moment we walked in. A waitress was cleaning tables but stopped as soon as she saw us and went to the back instead of helping us. The only reason we were able to sit down was because the person handling takeout (who was Black) finished cleaning a table for us. When it came time to order, the waitress continued to ignore us, and once again, the same takeout worker had to take our order. All we received was our drinks. About 15 minutes later, a group of four came in and was seated and served well before us, even though we had been waiting much longer. We waited, assuming our food was being prepared, but after an excessive amount of time with no updates, it became clear that our order was not a priority. Staff were in the back eating instead of preparing our food. Eventually, we had no choice but to leave without ever receiving our meal. Overall, the treatment we received felt discriminatory and unacceptable. This experience was clearly influenced by racism, and because of it, I will never eat here again. read more

We stopped by the outlets at National Harbor to get some much-needed winter gear. It was a very pleasant experience. The outlets are outdoors with a covering over most of the walking areas, so I can see it getting too cold or hot in the winter/summer months. But all in all, we were able to get everything that we had come in for at the shops. The shops were well organized and it felt less hectic than a lot of the other outlets that I've been to in the NJ/NY area. read more

Having a work function and not having the appropriate attire for a function within a function can lead you to here to get some items. Due to my work function having an event within the event and me not having the right outfit, I found my way here. I wasn't even aware that this was in the area and with it being so close to where I was staying made it convenient. With Tanger, you already know exactly what stores you are going to find here. And just so everyone is aware, the stores do not change much. It is not really an outlet mall, it's just an outdoor mall. I never see many decent deals coming here, and the stores are always the same. You might as well call these Simon Mall Outdoors. This one feels smaller than ones I have been to. But the layout was nice. It was basically a square with not much deviation on the path. I was able to secure a deal on my visit on that day. I have stopped back on several occasions since I have initially been here. It can serve as a good, quick stop for gift shopping and I foresee that being the truth for me when the holidays come around. read more

I've been to these outlets are handful of times... mostly with my parents, but I went myself a couple of times. One of my favorite food trucks (Capital Chicken & Waffles) would occasionally be there and yummm... I haven't had it in years, but I'll never forget that banana pudding. But food aside, there's quite the bit of variety at this outlet mall, and you can hit spots like Under Armour, Express, Nike, J. Crew and more! Now, be mindful on weekends -- that parking lot is spacious, but ooof does it fill up! When the weather is nice, you can spend hours just walking around, even if you don't have any designated shopping in mind. it's just great to walk around! A handful of times, the Outlets parking lot has also served as overflow parking whenever special events were going on in the area (yes, even MGM's garage would get full, haha). For your shopping needs for more quality to high end clothing and accessories, you should check out Tanger Outlets. Besides the harbor is right nearby to cruise on over to after :). read more

This Tanger outlet was in Maryland just over the state line from VA. This is the 4th Tanger we've been to, and they are all identical in layout of stores. What I've noticed is it might be an outlet but the merchandise is not discounted much. This one & one in Charleston SC you are pretty much paying the full price minus 10% to appear as it is a deal. The pros are all the name brand stores in one central location but have to look hard for legitimate sales. The two Tangers in Myrtle Beach are actually worth going to because will find worthwhile sales. read more

Great shopping experience every time I go. Great selection in the stores that I enjoy, including when I need a new pair of Nike athletic shoes or gear for running or casual wear. Great service but important not to get bamboozled into overspending for brands you can find at other locations like TJMaxx, Marshalls.... I was pressured (suckered) into purchasing an Elie Tahari $200 coat and expensive blouse I knew I could purchase at TJMaxx in spite of staff trying to convince me otherwise. In fact, I should wear that coat more often! Yikes. Nonetheless, wonderful outlet for exercise and fun window shopping when the weather allows. But if he's still working there he is very racist I was treated very poorly he waited on everyone else if you get my drift before he waited on me and I was there first. I'd been to different Tanger outlets but this location is not crowded. Not sure if we just visited in a non-busy days or what. It offers basic and crowd favorite stores. As there are few selections to choose from each store, the stocks are limited. This particular location has no food court for dining options. Ample parking to different entrances although we used the free shuttle service by Gaylord. We received good customer service during our visit. Location is not far from the harbor. Across the street is the MGM casino. Worth coming to this dude if the area. read more

11/3/21 The more times I visit National Harbor I wonder what it would be like to live there.  This place is almost always busy.  The Cronavirus is the only thing that really slowed this place down. I have seen Sweet 16 celebrations, weddings, Winter Wonderland  and special events at the Gaylord Expo Center. I have seen the new MGM Casino get built, but haven't visited it yet.  I think about what this place will be like when the Subway system is up and running at Nation Harbor.   Especially if it is operating between Old Alexandra and National Harbor.   I noticed a building of not others are going to be torn down or updated into some kind of residential building.     Between the hotels and residential buildings,  there is a big screen tv for special occasions like Fédération Internationale de Football Association aka FIFA.  I have seen people celebrating when the United States Women's football team progressed farther and farther into the World Cup Tournament. This was suprisingly fun to watch. There are also dances that can happen by the waterfront.   We saw some of this before going to a restaurant.  This time around at National Harbor,  I was with my wife and her friend.  We had finished shopping at the outlet stores and stopped by to get a bite to eat at Fiorella's Italian Kitchen.  This time I saw the the naked fatman riding on his turtle. This time; however,  the turtle had a black facemask on him.  In case you are wondering, the statue of The Italian man did not suffer the fate of other male statues around the world...hope you get the meaning. The food is delicious, but I think the next time I will add sausage to the Baked Chicken Alfredo with garlic.  I think this will complete the total package. We saw some areas of downtown  National Harbor and saw people getting their photos taken with the statues around the area. If you want ride some rides, there is a ferris wheel and merry-go-round you can go on.  I could see two more permanent rides going up near the waterfront.   Speaking of water, you can rent out boat of various speeds and travel around the Potomac River.   I took pictures, but my favorite photo is of the sculpture called The Awakening.   I took a nice evening photo of it along with the night lights. The outlets are by National Harbor. The directory lists what businesses are around. I prefer the outlets in Annapolis or Ocean City. Parking is free (unlike National Harbor). I am bummed Nordstrom Rack isn't there. read more

This outlet mall is conveniently located at The National Harbor which sits many amazing hotels and lots of restaurants. We always stay at The Gaylord and this is my 4th or 5th time at this outlet. I didn't inquire with my hotel this go around about the shuttle services as I do recall taking a shuttle over from the Gaylord in the past but since we were hitting the road from the mall this go round we drove over. We pulled up and got parking pretty easy. The stores are clearly marked from the front, back and on the many signs hanging pointing you into the direction you need to go. There are a good amount of stores especially some of our favorites like Gap, H&M (which is pretty large), Cole Haan, etc.. There is sitting around the walkways which would be perfect when the weather is warmer but there were plenty of people utilizing them in the cold I guess they were warm from their Starbucks as there is also a Starbucks present OF COURSE. We got some good deals and finds on our quick trip here this week. In the past the deals we scored were just as good. It's a must do when in town maybe for a fight at the nearby MGM. read more

Pretty standard and decent Tanger outlets near MGM and National Harbor. I come here occasionally for the Cole Hann, The Cosmetics Store, Kate Spade and the Banana Republic. You cant go wrong with these basic options. Only down side is that if it rains it sucks going in and out of stores and getting wet since its an outdoor shopping center. I have never been here on a busy day or weekend. I'm generally there on an off season. read more

Great place to shop near the National Harbor area if you are staying near by and overnight. All the favorite stores are there and prices are always decent. Dont forget to use the Tanger Outlet App or the Tanger outlet office for exclusive coupons and promotions that can in many cases be used with current offers for even deeper discounts. While this is the closest outlet to DC ,and to many places in Northern Virginia and Maryland , I'd still rather drive the extra way to Potomac Mills as I was terribly unimpressed with store selection and store merchandise. Several stores have the exact same prices they have at the mall (H&M,Bath & Bodyworks, American Eagle to name a few). While I appreciate the Carter's and Children's Place stores, it is not worth it to come here, in my opinion, when at Potomac Mills you have: H&M, TJ Maxx, Marshall's, Homegoods, Carter's, Children's Place, Forever 21, Burlington, and IKEA all in one place. I'd perhaps stop back if I was in the area, but this would never be a sole destination for me. read more

This is a great outlet mall and we come here at least once every few months. I think it is a great location and is very easily accessible. There is also ample parking and you are always able to park pretty close to any particular entrance. I love that there is a playground area for kids. It is fenced in and is surrounded by a few tables and several benches too. My son loves to play there and usually my husband or I will stay there with him while the other one shops. It is covered by a pergola which provides some shade but in general I don't understand the point of them. The one drawback is that there are not many places to eat here. The place is really lacking on food choices. They have a very small sit down Johnny Rockets that seems much smaller than a regular size restaurant. They also have an Auntie Anne's and Starbucks and that's it. It definitely could use a little food court of some sort. read more

I am appreciative of having outlets so close to the DC area. This one has great store selections such as Banana Republic, Express, H&M, and American Eagle. Parking is actually pretty easygoing when you get there at a reasonable time. I've been to other outlets whereby in the afternoon, people are parking in the grass. This is not like that. They have typical bathrooms throughout the mall with soda machines, but overall I would say my biggest disappointment is the food selection. I believe there is a Johnny Rockets and a Starbucks. For an outlet this size, I was shocked to see they didn't have an actual food court or additional food options. While the mall is close to National Harbour in Maryland and the MGM, it's still in the middle of nowhere, so for anyone driving over there, it would be really nice to have more options to stay longer. I think one of the times we went, there was a food truck, but I didn't feel like eating food while standing with several shopping bags at my feet. Maybe not the environment for that. Overall, it's a mall. We go because we like the deals. Not because we want to eat. read more

If a mall doesn't have what I'm looking for....I don't go there! It's simple. Anyhow, Tanger is pretty nice. While I agree that additional food options would be nice, National Harbor IS right down the street with restaurants galore---and additional parking :) The Nike Factory Store alone warrants four stars. The prices were AMAZING! This same store is in Arundel Mills and the prices were NOT the same. I can't believe the deals I got....Lunarglides+ and 2 workout shirts for $60? Crazyyyyyy! Additionally, the Wilsons Leather Outlet had awesome prices as well. I didn't get a chance to stroll through every store here, but from what I saw, I was thoroughly impressed. It's gorgeous, clean, and a nice place to go with a date or a family member. I can definitely tell this is type of place that will experience additional development over the years so many complaints about the store offerings/food offerings/parking will soon be put to rest. Only thing I'm afraid of is how packed this place will be once the weather breaks...Tanger debuted in the late Fall and was packed...when the sun hits the DMV...lawd this place will be crazy! It does have a playground though. Also...the security plays NOOOOOOOO games with people out here. The Skechers store at this location has a young employee whom is very unprofessional. Not sure owner is aware. On 3/26/23 said employee had his sagging pants so low beyond his buttocks in front on minors with their parents. My wife was deeply disturbed and offended by his attire. She spoke with the young man and attempted to have a reasonable discussion with him however, he gave her attitude when she tried to explain how accosted and revolted she felt by seeing his underwear with his pants so low. This isn't the fist issue at this location as workers seem more occupied with their cellular phones than actually serving customers. Won't be returning to this specific Skechers store. Please ownership do better with employees. read more
