No, not even close... but it's not their fault. The lot is too small. The store is built on the site of the old Mt Vernon Multiplex, which closed in 2007 or so. It's jammed in between Ladson Lane and the Wal-Mart. And while I love the cheap Costco gas, sometimes I wish they'd get rid of the pumps and use the space for parking, as more than once I've simply been unable to find a spot -- and getting out of the lot can take 20 minutes. The crowd outside means there's a crowd inside. The management does a good job of keeping checkout lanes open, and of course the checkers are amazingly fast and efficient, but there's really no place for shopper to queue up. So they fill the aisles waiting their turn, and if you're just trying to get some Cliff bars up front, you have to navigate through a bunch of impatient folks waiting to check out. Again, it's not the store's fault that they're popular, and if they cleared a bunch of merchandise lanes to dedicate to checkout space, it would mean less stuff or higher prices. I get the issue. So for me, I try to take advantage of the Executive early hours and do my shopping then: Never a problem finding a spot, and I'm in and out in record time.

People were driving around in circles doing laps looking and waiting for a space. They share the parking lot with Chuck-E-Cheese, so that's problematic and chaotic. Poor planning in that respect. Ok Walmart, just too small for the number of people that come to shop there.

Just happened to kill some time after arriving, so I popped into this Walmart to see what deals and bargains were to be had here. I spent about an hour browsing the store, focusing on mostly grocery items and food that can be eaten right away without refrigeration or microwaved. I feel like Walmart sells a lot of these items daily for many of their customer base. With that said, I was here around 6pm on a chilly Wednesday afternoon in March 2026. Walmart usually is very competitive with the usual supermarkets, so I could get something for my money. I did just that. I chose what I wanted after weaving around the larger than life store and promptly proceeded to the checkout, where I paid for my stuff and got out. I enjoyed this Walmart very much because they are familiar to me and they sell many items that I typically use in daily life when I'm not traveling. She didn't even acknowledge my presence initially making me wait for 5-10 minutes to complete whatever it was she was doing. There was also another customer behind me waiting to be served. I didn't know that a debit card was required to pay for a money order but she made sure that no only I knew that but all the other Walmart shoppers as well - by stating their policy very loudly. Everything is pretty clearly labeled and I found the pricing to be fair. As always I find it interesting which brands they price higher, while some designer or vintage labels are fairly inexpensive.
