Used to rock Coach heavily when I was in college. Back then it was extremely durable, and affordable: two key factors, especially for a student. And when they had a store in Georgetown, DC. I STILL have my men's satchel briefcase from college. Back then the leathers were super supple buffalo hides. I also still have a checkbook holder and a few other zippered pouches and such that I no longer use. Today's Coach isn't nearly as nice, especially the men's line. Around 2000, the company shifted its offerings from simply designed, neutral-toned leather purses to bags made of mixed materials ― that is, leather paired with canvas or nylon ― available in an array of colors and logo prints. Simply put, in order to keep up with "trends" they started selling crap. Called the Tyson's store last year to ask about having the straps replaced on my briefcase and was told that they didn't even repair bags (outside of warranty) anymore. Turns out that wasn't exactly correct since I just found a shipping and repair label on their website. Hmmm.... I guess the person I spoke to on the phone was probably too young to know what she was talking about. Ended up using a local cobbler to replace the straps (which don't look as nice) so I may just send my bag in to Coach now after all. Anyway.... Their quality fell off and I had long since moved on so I really didn't care. Flash forward to the year 2022 and I was considering something nice for my daughter's 16th birthday. Something nice but not "too" nice if you catch my drift. Something a 16-year-old girl would appreciate and I wouldn't be pissed if she lost or damaged beyond recognition. Someone sent me a gift idea of a Coach keychain pouch - from Bloomingdale's, for $65. Remembering that there was a Coach store down at Tanger Outlets, I decided to check them out first. Fearing online fakery and running out of time as her birthday approaches, I knew I wouldn't have time to get anything shipped. Another deciding factor in going to Tanger. Disclaimer: Since it opened a few years back, I never really have gone down there to look at anything. Plus, I'm suspicious of "outlet centers" conspicuously placed in heavily populated areas. Glad I went to check this one out however. Although the selection is somewhat limited versus main line department stores like Bloomingdale's, I was able to obtain a keychain ID pouch for less than half the Bloomie's price. This place even offers a 10% military discount. Deal was so good even got one for my older daughter. Two ($78) keychain pouches for $59? Yes please, and thank you. Side note: the floor plan of this outlet center needs some work. By the time you see the big American flag and the building (in the very back of the mall) with COACH on it, you've already passed the actual store. I was about to give up when I walked into the Nike store - saw the ridiculous line - walked out, and looked ahead on my right and there the store was.... finally. I'd been walking around for close to 30 minutes...didn't see a security guard... didn't see a directory...or directional signage.... and was about to go home. I was having a conversation with the associate inside and she said, "yeah people get confused all the time." Speaking of associates, the ones here greeted me quickly and repeatedly, so service is super friendly and efficient. Maybe I'll check out a few other stores at Tanger Outlets now. If you are looking for the Coach store however you'd better bring a compass and coordinates, lol. I was so turned around after my "stroll" around Tanger Outlets that I couldn't even find my vehicle - which took me another 20 minutes to locate as I retraced my path - which was all kind of a blur at this point since ALL the stores now looked familiar. Had Blue Bell ice cream in the trunk that I'd just picked up from Walmart 30 minutes earlier. Luckily it was chilly outside this afternoon or I probably would have met a milkshake or two. I wish I would have checked yelp before ordering pick up at this location or maybe it's just the evening/night shift. I've done other pick up orders but usually pick up during the day time. This time there were About 6 associates by entrance, and 1 cashier so you'll have to wait. Make sure you check your item(s) before you leave or you'll have to make a trip back to the store because they put the wrong item in your pick up order. And don't even think you'll get a apology for their mistake because you won't. Just go to Kate Spade. read more

I was greeted as I walked in and directed to the cashier to process my exchange. Bobbi was very professional and efficient. She asked for information on the type of bag I wanted to exchange it for, and gave me several really good suggestions. I ended up buying the first bag she suggested. The store is very well laid out, well lit, and clean. I purchased a birthday gift for my mom. 10/25/21 Normally I do not go to stores like this. Since I am a long for the ride with my wife, I am glad I did come with her today. I have been heavily interested in writing horror story for Mortis Media, Creepypastas, Let's Read or Mr. Creeps on YouTube. I was thinking about a modern day outfit I could have my female antagonist wear in the present day. While walking to Coach, I saw a lady wearing a two tone dress of black and grayish white. The black calf high boots with low heels were perfect for my antagonist. The worman's black blazer completed the look of the outfit. While inside the shop, a customer service specialist greeted us warmly and offered his knowledge on new arrivals. It was helpful to learn what was here and what would be coming in a few days. It gave my wife something to think about. The voluptuous Asian woman I saw has great body measurements for my character I have in mind. Guess my wife and I found something appealing. Walked into Coach with mom and hubby- all of us from Honolulu. Walked in to almost empty Coach store. When we stepped in, 2 sales clerk were talking to each other, looked up to see us, then kept talking. There were at least 2 other sales clerk. No one came to help us, or at least give the illusion that they cared. We downloaded the app from the wall which lets you scan to figure out the actual prices. When we left about 15 -20 minutes later, there were about other 6 customers walking around on their own with no help that I could see. I scanned about 10 different products; no one came to speak with us. In Honolulu, the Coach outlet is so crowded with so many customers and many helpful salespeople. Mom, hubby and I joked as we left that this was the first time we left a Coach store without buying anything. Won't be coming back. read more

Giving a one star because as soon as I walk in the guy who was wearing a poncho was staring at my boyfriend alot and was acting annoyed when we asked for help. When my boyfriend asked a question he ignored him as well. When I went to go check out the ladies with the really short hair (side part) was EXTREMELY RUDE. Found what i needed quick and easy. That had a great sale going on. Ty was the associate who assisted me and attempted to upsell me im sure per his job. But i knew what i needed and was quick. The best part of a Coach outlet Vs. Regular Coach is being able to shop a higher quality brand without the employees looking at you like you can't afford a burrito let alone a Coach Purse. I've visited Coach outlets all over the country and this one is pretty similar to the rest. When you walk in you'll be greeted almost immediately by someone who seems to love their job. This outlet store is almost always 50% off and most employees have a coupon, to be honest I always get the discount without the coupon. (I'm pretty sure it's a physiological thing to have a "great deal" in your hand and it creates a desire to use it.) We stopped in on a Saturday night looking for a specific bag I saw online. We were able to locate it in the back near the clearance. Yes you heard me right, there's a clearance section. Clearance tends to be 40% off and then you can take the additional 50% off the store as well. Purses that started at over $300 can come down to $100 by the time you're done. I will say I was impressed that the store is in line price wise with the outlet store online. Some times I feel like when I walk in to the Coach Outlet the website is some times cheaper. ((But you have to factor in shipping!!)) This is another store where you shouldn't limit yourself to the clearance section. A lot of the purses in the front are newer and are around the same price as a clearance one. The reason I gave this location three stars goes back to my original point of why I shop at Coach Outlet... how staff treat customers. While the staff is super helpful here they often try to get you to buy a more expensive item. Even after informing two seperate employees about the price range they didn't seem to get it. If my price range is $100 stop trying to convince me to double it. We finally got in line and an employee brought the matching wallet to us and asked if we wanted it. Again we reminded them of our price range and I kid you not he said, "You could just not go out to eat three times, then you could afford it". Insert awkwardness here Despite the employees being a little too sale hungry this location is pretty good to shop at. Gift boxes and wrap are free and you'll leave knowing you got a good deal. read more

I did a quick lunch run to buy holiday gifts for colleagues and it was so nice to get greeted by the staff coming in and the excellent customer service I received from several of the ladies in the store. The sales was awesome and affordable and I was back at the office with all the gifts in the cute plain boxes/ No wrapping paper needed. Best shopping lunch break ever! read more

My Dad and I walked into this store a few days ago, while we were visiting National Harbor. Our family has a longstanding obsession with Coach, and he was hoping to find me a birthday present. Well, we were greeted by Demar, who is the sweetest, funniest, most delightful salesperson ever! He talked with us, explained the sale, helped us find what we needed/wanted, and listened patiently to our long stories. He really made us feel welcome, and the whole experience was ten times more delightful because of him (and that's saying a lot, because the experience of buying a new Coach bag is already pretty darned delightful on its own!) I stopped in here on 9-16-2018 on a whim. I saw the sale signs in the window and that's what drew me in. I had been on the lookout (although not seriously looking) for a leather messenger bag. Well, I found one. Black. Classic. On sale so much so that I saved $285 dollars!! The store was busy with lots of people and enough associates to help answer questions. Check out was reasonably quick too. I can definitely say that I will be back to browse as I never know what will peak my interests. The associate who helped me was "Ty." The customer service at this coach is pretty good. There is always at least 6 people working, even on weekdays when I go in I'm always surprised at how much help there is. Everyone has been friendly and helpful and they usually always have something going on like 50% off the whole store or 40% off clearance. For the money it's a good deal in my book, especially when you need a last minute gift or just what to treat yourself, you deserve it :) read more
