Went to the lunch buffet without reading the reviews and I'm glad I did haha. Seems like this spot might be a hit or miss but the day we went was absolutely fantastic! We were seated promptly by the hostess and our server came quickly to get our drinks. He was nice and checked in on us often and took plates away. The only thing I wouldn't order again is probably the mango michelada. My boyfriend and I love michis! But hmmm the mango tasted like mango which is accurate but for some reason it just didn't really work well with the taste of a michelada. I would just order a regular one next time! Just because we didnt like it, doesn't mean you wont or shouldn't try! Anyways, the food was fresh and good! I just kept eating the fresh tortillas haha they were absolutely delicious. Ummm their caldo de res ?! Amazing. Got like four servings haha couldn't help myself. I personally just love a shit ton of cilantro and onions on my plate so it was really nice they had a salsa bar next to the soups. My boyfriend liked the breakfast bar they had as well which I think stops at a certain time! They had a lot of different things and I loved that! The only thing that was sort of awkward but funny was this girl randomly came up out of nowhere while we were eating and asked us to get closer so she could take a photo for us. We were kind of like huh? Haha because we were in the middle of eating so I wasn't really wanting to take a photo at that time. But we just went with it and smiled and then she took a couple more and then she said ok I'll be right back. And then maybe like 10 min later she comes back with one smaller photo with the border being Guadalajara's grill like location and times and stuff and us in the middle HAHA and then says that's for us and it's free and then takes out two more bigger ones of us that are just in like a felt frame, which was nice but said these cost like can't remember how much it was. But it was enough for me to say no hahaha and also I think we were both just caught off guard and when we said no thank you, she sort of looked up at someone (almost like signaling them that we said no) and gave a smirk and walked away HAHAH it was so awkward and weird but when I opened my purse later and found it I started laughing bc it just created a funny moment and memory. Anyways this place is good, seems hit or miss but definitely should be tried at least once! Very fresh and good, service is fast and attentive! This is probably the cheapest lunch buffet I've had and it was definitely worth it! read more

The two stars are for the Mariachi, dancers, and our sweet waitress. The food is pretty bad. We came for Sunday brunch. The food looks like cafeteria food from a hospital. This is not authentic Mexican food. Lastly, the bill. The manager told us he would be charging us half price for the children since they were under 10 years of age. And then he counted 3 children. Great. I obviously didn't think he would count my 8 MONTH OLD BABY. But the bill came and was paid for before we noticed that they charged us for a child who doesn't even eat solids yet! Look over your bill before paying! read more

Guadalajara Grill offers a delightful experience with its classic and comforting Mexican flavors. The dishes are reminiscent of those served in a family kitchen, with sizzling fajitas and hearty combo plates that are well seasoned and generously portioned. The lively salsa bar and freshly made tortillas add an authentic touch to the meal. This is the kind of place where you can settle in, savor bold flavors, and leave feeling full and satisfied. It's a reliable neighborhood favorite for anyone craving traditional Mexican dishes done right. And to top it off, they have a mariachi show and an amazing brunch that's perfect for the whole family. read more

We've been coming to Guadalajara Grill for years to celebrate birthdays with our family, but after this experience, we will not be returning. The buffet is already expensive they raised the price, and unfortunately, the food was not worth the price. What made the experience even worse was that our family was rushed and given only 90 minutes to eat. We were told that if we stayed past the 90-minute limit, we would be charged twice for the food. On top of that, there were flies all over the place, and the staff was rude and unwelcoming. It's disappointing because this used to be a place our family enjoyed coming to for special occasions. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we definitely cannot recommend Guadalajara Grill and will be taking our birthday celebrations elsewhere. read more

This Spot was cool ! They had a taco bar in the back. Service took a little while but it was worth it once you get going. The food is fresh and they have a huge variety. They could have a bit better presentation within the food but overall it tastes pretty good! read more

Guadalajara Grill - My Breakfast Spread - Mexican Near Me - Baldwin Park, California

My family and I have been coming to Guadalajara Grill for years. Their food has always been delicious, they provide great entertainment, and they provide great customer service. We recently had dinner to celebrate my birthday. I ordered the trio platter. I usually order the lengua plate and was so disappointed to find out they removed it from their menu. It has been a while since my last visit so I'm not sure how long ago they removed this plate from their menu. I also had a spicy mango margarita...so delicious! I love that they provide a special treat and shout out to everyone celebrating a birthday. A great place to enjoy a delicious meal with family and friends. read more

We attended Guadalajara Grill with the family, we had not dined here in a very long time. After being seated we waited about 20 minutes or so for our waitress to take our drinks order. When ordering we were informed no plates could be shared and if we didn't order a dish for someone in our party we would be charged $30 to pay for the seat, which we found to be wild. We were forced to order a random plate. All the staff was overwhelmed and stressed out everything seemed to be very unorganized and unprofessional. The place had a nice mariachi show a few times during the day no complaints about the show, the place itself is very loud. The food was mid not the best in flavor! I don't see myself coming back with our family here. read more

Guadalajara Grill - Sopes Platter - Mexican Near Me - Baldwin Park, California

This restaurant was suggested by one of our clients. And it was his birthday. The restaurant seating was a little confusing since there were long tables so when busy you may be seated with other people which can be good so people all get along. The mariachi band was great but it was a little loud and you really couldn't hear people at your table very well. Now the specialty cocktails are HUGE!!!!!!!! I don't even know what I ordered but it was delicious and I was shocked it came in a bowl. I was thinking how the heck am I supposed to finish this? I wasn't successful but I made a pretty good attempt. The drink was citrusy and alcohol was balanced and not overwhelming. Then our table had the queso fundido it came to the table still sizzling. Definitely put on tortilla and definitely get it with chorizo! Then I had the pork hock and this was huge too. I'm thinking this reminded me of the Flintstones! But very good. It had a kick with spice as well as the salsa but you just can't stop eating it! All I can say is put on your drinking boots and go starving because the meals are huge and most of them are easily shareable. So definitely worth the money for sure!!!! read more

service was not good at all, the food was good but cold and the dessert wasn't all that. there was a birthday in our party we had to tell them twice the hostess (older man) was so unwelcoming and seemed bothered. the cupcake they brought out for the birthday tasted old and dry. very disappointed and extremely overpriced. read more

Came here for Sunday brunch to celebrate a family members birthday. Service was excellent and the atmosphere is vibrant. Brunch is buffet style on the weekends until 2:30pm and includes a mariachi show. The show was great and everyone had a fun time! Although I loved the entertainment, the food was not the best. I did enjoy their carnitas, handmade tortillas, and drinks. However, everything else was nothing special. Most of the food was also room temperature. read more

Typically great spot, today food was terrible. Looked like they served us leftovers. We ordered couple of Molcajetes and they both looked same. Everything was bunched up, not placed individually on the edge. And so went the rest of the meals. Service was outstanding though. Saul and Juan did all they could to make the evening great. Wish they were the cooks. Mariachi made the evening passable or we would have left. We expect not everything is going to be perfect, food however should never be the poorest thing you deal with. They also have to figure out some other way to return your so called deposit. Having to go thru two bills, validate my ID after we have all been seated, ate our meals and are ready to pay for the full meal is silly. read more

All the food here was amazing. The service staff was great we came here for a birthday and I had never been here before. They did have a buffet that you could go to but I chose to order from the menu my husband and I ordered primarily appetizers and shared them The mini taco Dorados were probably the best thing that we ordered. It was very cute inside I have heard that they do play music occasionally but the day we were there that was not the case. I would come again. read more

Although there was a lot of people, the wait time was very little. There was plenty of delicious options. The live music was nice but be aware it's so loud you cannot talk or hear anyone at your table. Maybe we went in a day where it was short staffed as our waiter came around THREE times the whole time we were there. First time to get our drink orders, second to give us our drinks, and third to give us the total. We had to ask another waiter for refills. Also some of the food was too salty or sweet for my taste. For 3 adults and 1 child the total was $187.00 plus tax plus tip. Maybe I can give this place another try someday but for now, for my experience, it gets 3 stars. read more

This place is special. It is Mexican food but from Guadalajara, so they have a few great things on the menu that you will no get elsewhere. The place is very cute and they keep it clean. The service is so nice and they all just want you to be happy. Anything you order here will be great. They even have great beans. They have a full bar and they have specials. The Monterrey Chicken is one of my favorites and their flan is really good. I think they make it there. We love it when they have the buffet. I don't know whether this is every night. Call them and ask. Sometimes they even have a band and they are great. You will leave full and happy. read more

Worst restaurant ever! Made reservation one week prior, had problem with lady as she knew nothing, couldn't answer questions at all. She said I had to pay a deposit before!!!!! Paid what she asked. 8 persons coming from out of state and county. Walked in and my table was there...empty. center front as it was a dinner show.Hostess would not allow us to sit there, Asked why, she said it would not be fair to waiter? HUh?? Birthday celebration for both my son and daughter! Very special!Bill was almost $600!! Also food was not edible! Cold hard sopes, cold rice and beans, carne asada too rare! Totally unexceptable experience! By the way our table in center did NOT get seated until 1/2 hour after show started!! I f I asked for a possible even possible refund? Rate in my opinion is -5 stars! read more

The food (carne en su jugo ) was delicious and the mariachi show set up the perfect ambiance. The reason for a leaving a low review is due to the MARGARITAS, I went to celebrate my birthday and ordered a margarita. It tasted like a slurpee. I was not given the option to choose a small or large one and given the large sized. I didn't see the price of the margarita on the menu and thought max 20$ but no it costs 26$ TWENTY SIX dollars for this drink. I should have asked for the price before ordering, that was my mistake. I just hope other people can see this post and avoid getting ripped off with these overpriced low quality margaritas. read more

Lived near by for 15+ years and never went - now I live further out and decided to check it out. We came here for breakfast/brunch and it was wonderful. Got there a little after 9am and there was already a good chunk of people inside. They have 2 long buffet lines filled with goodies, a dessert/breakfast nook on the side and in the back they have tacos/quesadillas. Service was really good. They're really friendly and attentive. There's tons of seating and from what we saw, large groups come here often. They also have a stage which I was told they have performers on sundays and mariachi. I think its a great place to go with family & friends with good food. read more

Give them the cake they will cut it and save it in there refrigerator there will be a fee of 25.00 2. Keep the cake cut it myself and there is no charge. I choose option 2 and when I brought the cake to the table the waiter then said that the manager will be charging me a cake fee, I told him thats not what the reception told me. I didnt cut the cake cause they wanted a cake fee, took my cake back home, this was a bad experience bad service I spend close to 1000 dollar the tip was 130.00 I think he could have made an exception for me to cut it....if there was lower then 1 star I will post read more

I've passed by this place so many times but never really thought to try it out until a few weekends ago when my wife suggested we come here for their lunch buffet. I was actually pretty surprised. I've been interested in trying this restaurant, so I tried it on Cinco de Mayo. They had drink specials, I had a lime margarita on the rocks ($5) and it was perfect! They have a buffet menu, for dinner it's $25.99 which seems like a good deal for the buffet options (includes salad, hot foods, fruit, dessert). I was a bit surprised the regular menu was on the expensive side. Perhaps costs are higher because of the buffet option. The food was still good, I would come back. They have a stage and a Mariachi band. The music was good, the restaurant was busy but there were still tables available. The staff were friendly and attentive. They also confirmed that if someone in your party wants the buffet and another person wants the regular menu, that's okay. :) read more

Poor customer service, the waitress was short, rude and didn't know how to handle the busy Mother's Day crowd. She snatched the menu from my family members hand because she got impatient with her taking time to order. But we explained it's because she couldn't see that well but she was very rude. They need to provide better customer service training to their staff. What should have been a good Mother's Day turned out to be stressful ! read more

This Restaurant it's horrible, worse restaurant to eat. The food is not good The Price is way too high took my family there for the buffet and it was too late end it up ordering plates of $44.00 each drinks at $7.00 each No refills, NOT worth it the food doesn't taste good the place is not clean, the bathrooms are not clean and so outdated this place needs to be checked out by the health department. The dishes were dirty it was a terrible experience and then a bill that exceeded $400.00 I don't recommend this place to NO ONE. read more

Please do not get fooled by the 4,5 stars reviews!!! Food is 3/10. Tasteless, cold and old. The best tasting "food" is actually the salad and the fruit. Service is 4/10. I must say this place is a hit or miss... the hit part is the ambiance and sometimes the food, the brunch on Saturdays have been good, not excellent, but good/average. The miss part about this place is the service. The host at this place was not very welcoming and not approachable. Because of him, I almost left. He was rude and not polite. It's not a person you would want to be greeted by when you're there to have a good time. I definitely have my doubts recommending this place to others with the mixed experiences I've had. They will not sit you down till the entire party has arrived which is a rule a restaurant should never have. read more

I have been to this restaurant many times in the past 10 years! We mostly come here for birthdays, but we also bring out of town guests too. It's a well maintained restaurant that is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, seven days a week. The decor and layout is perfect for intimate parties of two or booths and long tables to accommodate large groups and gatherings for all occasions. I've even attended a fundraiser here. Breakfast is buffet style, lunch and dinner is ordered from the regular menu. The highlight and what sets this place apart from most restaurants is the Mariachi Show. The musicians and singers put on a great show. The musicians will walk through the restaurant to "seranade" your date. All you have to do is let the Server know that you have a special request. Note: it is customary to tip the singer. There is no cover charge or fee for the entertainment, except Special Events. I saw an advertisement for Valentine's Day. Reservations, tickets, and a deposit is required for this event. There is a large parking lot, no charge, no Valet service. If you're in the area, give them a visit and don't forget to tell 'em that Rosemary sent ya!! read more

ame here on a Sunday evening during Mariachi (which was the best part) it was 7:of us the waiter right away looked like he did not want to be there. It was my husband's and I, together with our 5 month old's baby first time eating here as we have seen a YouTube video of how good this place is. As soon as we entered, it took a sweet time for the host to acknowledge us even though we were the only one in line and she already saw us minutes before. She then proceeded to tell us that strollers are not allowed in the restaurant, only baby car seat or they offer a high chair. I undestand that it's due to the space, however, this is the first time I've been to a restaurant with no stroller allowed and there was no sign at the door whatsoever. We got seated next to the door for their outside seating area where the wind was gusting in directly to our baby, which was not considerate. The food was mediocre, the selection of food was not that great for the price of buffet we paid for. Some good such as the ceviche and the flan did not look fresh. I tried the chicken mole and the chicken tasted old. My father in law's home cooked meals are so much tastier than what we had. The drinks were separate from the actual meal and we ordered three horchatas which costed $20!!! The mariachi was good, but for the total of our bill and the service and experience is definitely not worth it. Definitely not coming back. read more

My wife and I stopped for a late lunch early dinner around 3:00 . I had a campechana Coctail , it was ok . My wife had a combo enchilada chile relleno and chicken taco , we will never go there again the chicken taco was tasteless so was the enchilada . The chile relleno was ok . We don't mind spending good money on good food especially Mexican food but this was a waste of our money . The only good thing was the mariachis and I felt bad for them because there was only like 6 tables for that big restaurant. We were truly disappointed . read more

The buffet food was warm not hot. It could have been better. Over all the entertainment was great.

With all due respect to "Rose F." Review. She missed a few points on this location. Pictures of the food are nice and all but the experience was subpar. The food is excellent but there is a traffic issue at this location. By traffic I mean alot of narrow walk ways and paths. Which is not only a nuisance but dangerous. You Essentially bump into waiters and waitresses trying to walk through and it's a bit inconvenient. Lastly they need to make more eye contact. The older gentleman with the Blue blazer suit and glasses. Needs to welcome people at the door. Rolling your eyes left and right and not acknowledging the customer is definitely unwelcome. Not only rude but not professional. Lastly clean the floors once in a while do a pass because if someone slips and falls a lawsuit could be in order. This goes to the owners and staff. There is definitely room for improvements. Make the changes necessary. I could be part of the elite reviewers and won't miss such issues. read more

Guadalajara Grill - Walking Hazards - Mexican Near Me - Baldwin Park, California

Went for breakfast buffet with my mom and 9 month old son...the food was okay, the waffles weren't cooked fully, and the eggs that were made were watery as well so not cooked well as well...there were also hidden fees, they charged for my son even though he's under one, and no one said that he would get charged even if they eat off your own plate. They're excuse was that the buffet is not shareable, but he barely took 2 bites off my plate and the rest was his own pureed food I brought him...they still said they charge a toddler fee from 3 and under...he's not even a toddler yet?...they still charged us even though they didn't even tell us that in the beginning...didn't even offer a refund after the fact...it was more of a, "oh we charge you already? Too bad..." Thought people should know I guess, just don't take your baby, they may charge you even if you give them a taste... read more

If I can give negative stars I would! I went with my family. We were a party of 13. When we were paying, they were rushing us, telling us to hurry up and move from the table because they had another reservation and said that they were there already. It had been a couple of years since we visited this establishment. We were sat quickly and our server was very attentive. For a Friday night, attendance was minimal. Located right off the 10 FWY off Puente Ave exit in the Home Depot shopping center with plenty of parking. Growing up in the area, I've been to Guadalajara Grill numerous times and have always been happy with every experience. Service is good, the restaurant is clean with beautiful Mexican traditional decor. Live Mariachi entertainment (which is part of the appeal of dining here) is included in their competitive and fair prices. I believe their shows are: Thursday and Friday starting at 7PM. Saturday starting at 3PM. Sunday Brunch starting at 9AM. If you plan to dine during the weekend evening hours, it's best to make reservations as they are prioritized, but note that you won't be seated until your ENTIRE party arrives. They have a weekday lunch buffet at $15.99 from 10AM - 2PM and Saturdays/Holidays at $20.99 from 9AM - 2PM with plenty of food items that include a "Taquiza" (Taco Bar). Happy hour is all-day Monday - Wednesday and on Thursday & Friday from 10AM - 6PM. Overall, I really enjoy this authentic Mexican restaurant every visit. read more
