Filete de pescado Sarandiado is always so good here. The service is good, but when they are busy there might be a wait.

It's one of my go to places when I visit LA because of their pescado sarreandado that I love. I usually order the filete and my cousins ordered a whole fish and another one ordered shrimp. It's all a matter of preference but everything is really good. We went to the Baldwin Park location which I prefer since it usually has more available parking spaces. The waitress was alone but did a great job taking care of our table of 12 as well as the other customers who were there, totally worth my 50 minute drive. Neither locations have the best ambience but the food is worth it in my opinion. read more

Firstly, this is the worst seafood restaurant you can go!!! Do NOT go here ever. I wish I could leave a negative review because 1 star is way too high. This place is a horrible place of business with no customer service whatsoever and a clear disregard for the health and safety of their paying customers. My grandpa ordered the 7 Mares and nowhere on the menu does is mention that the soup has bones. Every spoonful of the broth was full of fish bones! He is blind and can barely see and nearly choked!!! We talked to the manager Alejandra and she was absolutely no help. She was incredibly rude and hostile for no reason. We didn't even want a refund all we were asking for was a different meal but she said that since he had barely eaten some of the broth already that there was nothing that could be done. Then she made a weird comment saying that we should have asked but why would there be a soup full of fish bones??? She said that we have to ask at any restaurant if there are bones but any good restaurant would have let their customers know that they have bones in their food. No signs, no fine print on the menu, no warnings, the waitress could have even told us that there are bones when we ordered, but nothing. We asked for the owner Martin but apparently he was too busy to come and help a problem in his restaurant but obviously customer service is not a priority for Martin. It's obvious that this is a clear reflection of Martin and his business practices. I wouldn't be surprised if both of his locations get shut down soon. Shady place. read more

The best zarandeados I have ever had. I love the shrimp zarandeados with an oil base salsa (spicy), authentic rice and beans. It's always busy and the food does take a little to cute but it's worth the wait. It's a busy place and sometimes they have long wait times. How can I give this place less than 5 starts for their specialty dish Pescado Saraendado. This place has to have the best Sarandeado in the area. If you find a better place in LA please let me know. The food here is solidly good. We always start with a dozen of oysters. We have these with some lime, salt y que no falte la salsa Guichol. This time we also ordered a seafood molcajete. This did not disappoint. It was nice to have something to snack on before the master piece arrived We usually order a pound per person for the Sarandeado. This comes with rice, beans, tortillas an salsa for everyone in your party. The drinks here are also good. I usually get the Michelada with a Victoria but today I had a Martinada. I thought it was a house martini , but it's actually a margarita with a Coronita. If you come here ins the summer make sure you ask for extra ice. This place does not have a AC. Be prepared to wait for your food items. You get chips and a spicy Pico de Gallo salsa to start. Not the best service, but the food is good and well priced. read more

I just simply love this place, it always hits the spot. I've been visiting Mariscos Martin since I was a kid and the quality of the food and service has never downgraded. The unlimited warm chips and fresh salsa is a nice compliment to the amazing food. I have been here many many times. My favorite Mexican seafood restaurant in the San Gabriel Valley. My favorite dish is the camarones sincronicados . Messy but so good. The only thing I don't like is the music on the juke box is too loud. You are shouting when having a conversation. Also, The strolling musicians that come in peddling their music. It is hard to find a good marisco place that I can say that about. The ceviche de camaron was fresh, right amount of seasonings, onions, tomatoes and cilantro. The limonada is freshly squeeze right amount of tartness and sweet. My friend had the mojarra frita and said was delicious. Tip: call ahead and get your name in. I have been enjoying the great seafood at Mariscos Martin for more than 20 years. The Filete Sarandiado, the Camarones a la diablo, the Ceviche, the Molcajete, just about ant dish you can order, are all delicious. There is always a line and it's well worth the wait to eat this seafood. I had a recent craving for some and paid a visit to Mariscos Martin. I ordered one of their specialties, Filete Sarandano. You get basically get the whole fish without the bones. The fish is seasoned with spices and grilled that gives it a nice smokey flavor. It came with rice, beans, chili oil on the side and some lettuce and tomato. It's a very good sized portion and can be shared. Next time, I'll try a similar dish but with grilled shrimp. read more

I spent $35 , the meal was good, but I asked for more sarandiada salsa for my filet plate, because initially the server gave me a little bit, like 3 teaspoons of it...I love hot so, when I go there I make sure I pour plenty...hey I'm a paying costumer, the plate is $17.99 eventhough advertised as $12.99..and a one beer michelada is $7.99...and I noticed on the bill an extra $2.50 charge with no description..so when I asked the cashier, she in turn asked the waitress what it was?and she said," it's the extra salsa you requested"!...I was like what??? $2.50 for a bit of salsa???.. they stood their ground and charged me $30.92 + $4.08tip= $35....I will never go back again, or take my family or tell my friends. There are two locations so make sure you pick the right one to order from! I ordered from this one thinking I was at the other location, so just a heads up. I tried the filete sarandeado and it was DELICIOUS! That spicy sauce on the side had me sweating and reminded me of Chinese style chili oil. The rice and beans, and the flour tortillas, were perfect accompaniments, and the portion was big enough for two meals.
