Cash only Or Zelle - that shouldn't stop you from coming to this Mariscos spot. Stopped in on a Tuesday and there were several bands waiting to Come in to perform. The food and service is great! Had the tostada and the whole fish. Everything is flavorful you won't be disappointed

Hadnt been here in over 8 years but its still delicious. Had the camarones zarandeados and they were fire. The shrimp were huge and perfectly cooked. The chili oil they give you is spicy and compliments the shrimp really well. The beans were flavorful and the rice was great. Customer service was on point.

My Mexican friend's mother brought us here for lunch to celebrate my birthday. We waited for maybe 15-20 minutes, since it was packed inside. But I feel like taking it to-go would be a bit more practical since it was a little too loud and lively for me. I tried the shrimp tostada and enjoyed it. It was probably one of the healthiest meals I've had eating out. I liked how they had multiple hot sauces on the table and complimentary tortilla chips with salsa. The tostada was also multi-grain, which was so yummy. My friend ordered one of the mixed seafood things, and I loved the octopus. They have one of those jukeboxes inside where you can pay to listen to a song, but the restaurant itself had music playing inside. It appears they also stopped having a band perform live music on the weekends. Also, payments are only accepted through cash or Zelle!

The fish and their spicy oil are the star here. Together they are what foodie dreams are made of. We originally came here out of a personal recommendation and I've been back many times, to this location and their other location (the other one has better beans). The thing to get is their fish and the chili oil, which is so spicy and addictive. I once ordered their shrimp and it was not worth it. The fish is always perfectly cooked, moist, never fishy, and well seasoned. The service always is friendly and welcoming despite the language barrier. Cash only, tight parking lot.

Been coming to this hidden gem since I was a kid! It is still my dad's favorite restaurant to this day. When you're in the mood for Mariscos In the 626- you need to come here! They are well known for their zarandeado (fish and shrimp). All plates come with rice beans and salad. They greet you with chips and salsa. The michis are good overall a friendly family environment. Always have only taking cash but now they do take Zelle- no credit cards. That's how you know it's authentic food.

La parrillada de mariscos! WOW For the price, you cannot go wrong. $100 will feed 8 people maybe more.

Hands down, the BEST fish plate I've ever had in my entire life! I don't even know how to describe the spices they use,it's like a flavor explosion that you just can't find anywhere else. Perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, just perfect all around. The vibe at Mariscos Martin makes the experience even better. They've got music playing, the environment is upbeat and fun, and every staff member I interacted with was super friendly and welcoming. You can really tell they care about both the food and the people. If you're even thinking about seafood, do yourself a favor and come here. I'm already planning my next visit!

CASH Only A huge plate of chips greets you upon seating. We both ordered the house speciality, pescado sarendero and shrimp sarendero 50/50 plate. Ask for this 50-50, as it's off menu. It difficult to find restaurants that serve this dish. The fish was so tender but the shrimp were overcooked, but had delicious flavor from the spices. This dish comes with a demon hot chili oil on the side. Their rice and beans are really good. Flavoring spices used are amazing. We went for an early Thursday dinner and it was mostly full. This place is very popular with strolling musicians who will take requests for donations. Parking is really tight.

When you walk in the door, the counter on the left is for paying and checking in. Write your name down and wait to be called. Or, you can walk to the back and sit at the bar and have a drink. After my name was called, my wife and I got seated and asked for our drink order right away. We were brought out chips and salsa as well as a house-made oily sauce. Their secret sauce is super delicious, on anything! It's like the fried chili crisp but blended smoother with some additional seasoning. Put it on the salsa and eat it with the chips, yum! We ordered shrimp tostada and it came right away, it was the perfect appetizer, and it's quite huge too! Roughly 8" round and about 4" tall. I ordered the fish plate, and my wife ordered the shrimp plate. Her shrimp plate had lots of shrimps. They tasted ok, but like it was missing seasoning or it was light on it. Lots of flavor on the shell side, but not on the flesh side. The shrimps were over-cooked too, all shells stuck on the flesh. The fish plate was the best I've ever had! Large fish filets, well-flavored and seasoned! Must-try! Make sure to order it if you're reading this! Get the fish! Filete Sarandeado. Definitely try! Must visit! Highly recommended!

This place is welcoming and it seems they remolded it. The food here is delicious! Fresh and tasty. The prices are great for the portions. The ladies are very nice. And it's also very clean.

First time to this specific location, was in during lunch hour, was a full house and they had live Mariachis going around the tables asking to play. I had a Tostada De Ceviche Mixto and it was good. But my go to is the Baldwin Park. Servers were very nice and friendly but not too attentive specifically to our table could have been that it was cause of a busy lunch time.

No one came by to clear our table, bus dirty dishes, or help us place an additional order. The staff seemed more interested in talking to each other than attending to guests. It honestly felt like we were inconveniencing them just by being there. To make matters worse, the food did not match the menu description. We ordered the pescado zarandeado, which was supposed to come with vegetables and avocado. Instead, we were served a burnt, dry piece of fish, no veggies, no avocado, no salsa, nothing. When I asked about the missing items, the waitress said they came on the side, even though the menu photo clearly showed them plated with the dish. When the sides finally arrived, it was just some lettuce, a few orange slices, tomatoes, and half a scoop of avocado. Completely underwhelming. This place is not worth it. I had to really season it to get it down. The cocktail also needed lots of flavor. The shrimp were obviously not cleaned and it gave me the yuck. I really wanted to like this place. We originally were hoping for 7 or 7:30, but based on how busy and popular this place is I can see why they said no. Come early and get seated right away and there's still ample parking in their parking lot. By the time we left at 7:30p, the lot was packed and people circling around hoping to snag a spot from folks leaving. The restaurant is pretty large and has about 3 rooms with different size tables and booths. No matter the size of your party, there's a table that will accommodate. The staff were very nice and attentive and FAST! We had our food out probably 15 min after we put in our order! Now...on to the food. We ordered one of the set menus for our party of 7 and it was spot on! As you can see in the pictures we had all the "classics". Our set meal could easily be enjoyed by at least 10 people. We had so many leftovers! The food was all well prepared and sufficiently seasoned. Portions of each dish was plentiful and everyone will be able to get enough to satisfy. My favorite items: lobster (duh!), kung pao chicken, pork chops, and shaking beef. The seafood soup is a great starter, and don't forget to add a little vinegar and pepper! Great restaurant in the SGV. This location is much bigger than their Rowland Heights restaurant, but the food is exactly the same. This is a great alternative to the popular Newport Seafood, so don't sleep on this place!

Came at 530 pm on a tuesday, and there wasen't anyone here yet. Afterwards it filled up quickly!! The main thing I dont like about this place is they dont have the prices on what your ordering. Which I'll get too at the end. Like any other Chinese restaurant, their menu is super extensive. I love how they have a little bit of everything. And its very well organized too. We ordered the following: 1. Crab and fish maw soup- this soup was amazing. It was just the right temp. Got me sweating. Can easily feed 12 people. Great amount of maw. The consistency is just right. Tasted so good!! 2. Small lobster special- on a bed of noodles. It was about 5 lbs. Cooked well. Could do without. Basically flavors. And it was expensive!! About $30 a lb. So this one dish cost basically the same amount as all the other dishes. Which was just too much. If I knew it was that much I would definitely not have ordered it. 3. Walnut shrimp- not the best walnut shrimp I've had. But it was ok. 4. Garlic shrimp- this shrimp dish was ok. Too many bell peppers and onions. It was just ok. 5. Mongolian beef- flavors were not that great. Very tender though. Could've been better. 6. Sea trout- this was amazing!! I love the sauce. Fish was so soft and tender. The heat, the spice, the sweetness. Some of that sauce in white rice was just perfection. It was really really good. Best dish of what we ordered. 7. Kung pao chicken- this was a really good dish. Crispy bits of chicken. But so soft and tender inside. I love the sauce that it was in. It was by far one of the highlights of the meal. It was good food. Price for everything (except the lobster) was pretty good. Food tasted amazing for the most part. Typical Chinese customer service. Pay at the front. Massively large portions. Solid authentic Chinese food.

When we entered the restaurant, there were only two servers and about five tables occupied, yet no one acknowledged us or even made eye contact. We were told to put our name on the Yelp waitlist using the tablet at the front, even though there was clearly no wait and several empty tables. After a few minutes, a server finally seated us, but no one came to take our drink order. We were given a high chair that was visibly dirty. After waiting about 15 minutes with no follow-up, I had to flag someone down just to place our order. The server said she would bring water, napkins, and plates -- none of which arrived. We didn't receive water until well after the food was ordered, so we were just sitting there waiting. Throughout the entire meal, no one checked on us at all. The staff seemed more focused on talking among themselves than paying attention to customers, even missing us when we were clearly trying to get their attention. The food was just as disappointing as the service. For the price, the quality was very poor. The sushi rolls were bland, the sashimi had a noticeable odor and tasted like it wasn't fresh, and the tacos were unimpressive. There are many other sushi places nearby that offer much better quality and value. Overall, extremely slow, inattentive service and food that was not worth the price. I would not recommend this place.
