What should never happen is changing a customer's delivery date without notification, failing to return calls, repeatedly promising updates that never come, and forcing customers to spend hours chasing information about their own order. What concerned me most was the lack of leadership accountability. When issues escalated, there was little evidence that management was actively engaged in resolving the problem. Calls were not returned, messages went unanswered, and even after submitting detailed complaints to Store Manager Jason and Customer Care, I received no response. Leadership sets the standard for customer service. When managers fail to communicate, fail to follow through, and fail to respond to customer concerns, that behavior eventually becomes the culture of the organization. Based on my experience, that is exactly what appears to have happened here. The only reason this review is not even lower is because Kaylah and Eric stepped up, took ownership of the situation, and ultimately resolved the problem. They demonstrated the professionalism, urgency, and customer focus that I wish I had experienced from the beginning. Customers can forgive mistakes. What is much harder to forgive is a complete lack of communication, accountability, and respect for their time. Unfortunately, this experience left me with little confidence in the leadership and customer service culture at the Kent Lowe's store.

The store was clean and well stocked, and they had fresh plants, plant food, cleaners, tools, and just about everything I needed for my garden. I really appreciate having a store like Lowe's in our community. I did find the store a little confusing to navigate, and it seemed like they were having a difficult day because several employees had called out. I understand that things happen, but there was something I noticed that I think management should address. I heard employees talking negatively about another employee while customers were nearby. That really isn't a good practice. Everyone has difficult days, but conversations about coworkers should be kept private and away from customers. A positive atmosphere makes such a difference in a store. I also have to mention the self-checkout registers. I found them difficult to understand, and I imagine they could be confusing for older customers -- and probably some younger customers too! I personally think it's nice to have an employee at the register to greet customers, help them, tell them about specials, and simply provide that warm human connection. Despite those concerns, I still want to give Lowe's FIVE STARS because the store was clean, the selection was wonderful, and I found everything I needed for my garden. Thank you, Lowe's, for providing such a great store and wonderful products for our community. Oh another thing that I forgot to tell you about is Lowe's has a military discount for anybody that were prior military or in active duty they also have some of their plants on sale because the season is almost over with you can get some great deals here at Lowe's!!!!!!! Bought a bottle of Slime sealant to fix leaky tire on a hand truck. I ordered online and picked it…read moreup. Seemed painless. However when I got to the location where the hand truck was in the city, realized the small stretch of hose you need was missing from the side of the bottle and the bottle was unsealed. Someone already tried to use this and also found hose was missing. I had to go back to Tukwila, and the Asian lady at customer service with black and gray hair ARGUED with me and said it doesn't come with a hose. She was extremely rude and combative. I told her the instructions on the bottle explicitly stated that there is a hose and you can clearly see the indent area on the bottle where the hose is supposed to be. She only reluctantly gave me a refund. And I'm sure just put it back on the shelf so someone else can buy it and get screwed. This lady shouldn't ever have a job involving customer service. She acted like it was her job to insult and drive away customers. If that's the case, good job. Even though I live a block from this store, I'll get what I need from Target, Home Depot or Amazon. If there's a hell, I'm sure there's a Lowe's there just to make eternal damnation even more painful.
