The work we had done was overpriced and then the job was rushed. We paid $400 for less than 3 hours of work. We had the grout in the tub and bathroom floor cleaned and color sealed. There was no care given to not getting the color sealer on the painted wall or baseboards. I'm not currently living in the condo where the work was done, so I guess without supervision, they do a quick sloppy job. I spoke to Kevin F (owner) directly and he said he would have it fixed. He sent someone out to fix it but the person that called me that morning didn't know what he was fixing. The bathroom looked exactly the same when I stopped by later. I received an estimate on a bathtub reglaze which was a smooth process. However, when it came actually scheduling the work to be done, it was a nightmare. The receptionist at Grout Experts had called and left me a voicemail asking if I wanted to schedule an appointment to have the work done. I said "yes" and that he would be over in 3 weeks. 3 weeks came and went. 3 days before my scheduled appointment I called confirming what time the person would be out. The receptionist said she'll call me back. She never called back and so I called back 2 days before my appointment and she said "oh should be around 9:15". My appointment day rolls around and no one calls, no one shows up. I called Kevin and he said he'd call Carlos and he'd probably be there at 10AM and no one ever showed up. The work was excellent. Both the wall and floor grout looked like new, the caulk was all removed and replaced. Then the next day the tub was refinished. The bathroom looked like new. We received an estimate to re-caulk our shower and a bathtub. The estimate clearly states doing the faucets, the door frames, etc. The technician comes on time, and is done less than 30 minutes later. He only did some of the caulking, and I'm very certain he did not remove the old caulk before applying new caulk as we can see some of the old caulk along with the mold that had grown there. Some of the new caulk was cracking within 24 hours of it being applied. Other areas have no caulk, just the old peeling one. I have tried calling multiple times to get more information and have received no response. $350 for 25 minutes of incomplete and shoddy work. I don't even know how to express my shock. read more

Grout Expert, Jeff, did an excellent job repairing our tiled shower. There were spaces where the tiles were separating. Jeff scraped out the old grout, cleaned and re grouted and sealed. The tile looks now now. THis is the second time I have used Grout experts and am very satisfied with the work. Buyer beware! Once they get your money they don't return calls! The first guy that came out, had to go to the hardware store to buy more caulk.. really? Finally finished, and a week later, the caulking bubbled (which they say is normal). Had the guy come back again, did a poor job, left razor blades in the tub. A week later, it bubbled again!. I called at least 5 times with no response. Finally talked to someone and scheduled yet another appointment. They never showed, never called .. NOTHING!!! I called again, no response. I'm sorry but paying this company over $600 I would expect better service. I would NOT recommend them to anyone. read more

Our toilet broke causing a leak, and ultimately in the process of getting that fixed we came upon The Grout Experts to restore and update our bathroom. Though the initial call and estimate with them went well it's been nothing but problems, rudeness, shoddy work, unanswered voicemails, and headaches every since. They didn't show up on their first day of work and I wish I had gone with my gut and found a new company that day. Instead I gave them another chance which resulted in a scratch in the countertop of my brand new vanity and a hole in my wall we had to fight to get fixed (the vanity scratch so deep it is unable to be fully restored to its original state), not to mention cracks and unevenness in their grout work. Now, after payment and upon having their work reviewed because of the additional issues we've found, it was brought to our attention they did not seal/finish the grout, some of the tiles are spaced unevenly, and we will have to have a lot of their work redone. Very disappointed in this experience and feel taken advantage of as a whole. read more

My daughter had the grout Experts do work in her shower at her home. Then I contacted them and they worked on my master bathroom shower. The work was excellent, I was so happy my shower looked like new when completed. I had grout experts do both bathrooms. The first bath was a tub enclosure that was cleaned, resealed with a white sealant and recalled. Although the guy was later than orinally scheduled, he did call and let me know. So all good. He was tidy and polite and did a good job. The following week they came out to do a tiled shower stall to remove the old grout, regrout and recaulk. This was a bit more messy job due to removing the old grout but he worked his tail off and cleaned up very well too. All in all, both rooms cost $1000. And they look like new. Very happy! read more

Cant even leave a star. BUYER BEWARE! There is a reason they changed company names. They came out and re-grouted our shower. I noticed they missed an entire section. They did come back out but within a week the grout cracked around the seam. I had water coming through the ceiling and windows. I had to call a plumber out on a Sunday and had 3 holes cut in my ceiling to see what was the cause. It turns out they did not SEAL AT THE SEAM! Water was coming through the cracked grout. I hired this firm (formerly Grout Medics) to remove/replace the silicone around 2 showers and our kitchen sink and to add grout to ONE tile on the bathroom floor. Mike, who quoted the job seemed very knowledgeable and friendly. He quoted $485 for 3-4 hours work. I emailed the owner before I hired them and he said he could do the work for $450. Michael did the work in 1.5 HOURS! Which led me to believe that the job wasn't worth $450 at all, but maybe $300 at the most. When you think about the amount of skill required (as compared to an electrician or plumber etc), the job wasn't worth what I paid (I pay $159 to have my AC unit checked out annually, which takes 1 to 1.5 hours). I reached out to the owner 2x over email over a week and a half voicing my unhappiness about the amount I paid and got no response. Michael did a fine job - I had to clean up after him - old silicone on the counters and a granular-type coating on the floor. When this used to be Grout Medics, they had coupons to use. Didn't see any for this firm. read more

So, I just had my marble master shower completely redone. The thing about these guys is, they're pros. They know stone. And you can trust them. My stone was in such bad shape that they had to come back and do some extra work and apply an additional coat of seal. They did, no questions asked. Saved my shower, and gave me great advice about how to better maintain the stone in the future. I cannot recommend them enough. Mike, Tony, and Kevin are the real deal. The technician did an excellent job replacing a couple of cracked tiles in our 3x3 stand up shower. He also removed the mildew/mold that had been accumulating in the old grout and regrouted the shower beautifully. It's been 2 months so far and no mildew has returned. He was kind and hard working. We also had the shower pan reglazed and despite the horrible chemical odor that comes with having the work done (and lingers for days), was worth it in the end. However, the reason I couldn't give 5 stars is because of management and customer service. When I scheduled the estimate, the employee felt it was appropriate to share her dislike of Chicago (where I live with my family) and how she would never raise her kids in the city. Then when I went to book the work, I called the owner directly (his cell number was on the follow up email), and he immediately informed me that he does not schedule appointments. But that he would do it since I called him (annoyance apparent in his voice). Both of these instances almost caused me to take my business elsewhere but I was so tired of researching this project and just wanted to get it done. Note to management-- Future potential customers may not be as forgiving as I was. read more

He recommended the Grout Experts seal the tile around the shower. So, first we tried to clean the grout. We hired a guy to do this. I told him he had to get the grout clean and consistent. He just said I will do my best. I told him that if he could not get it clean and consistent that I would stop him and get someone to do something different. Well we stopped him and then called Grout Experts back. I cleaned the Grout with an Acid Wash and wire brush. I did this for the whole Kitchen, Laundry Room, Closet and Pantry. It had t be done to get the top surfaced roughed up. Grout Experts had another way of doing this but I had already completed the job when I called them. So, they came and gave me a new quote since they did not have to prepare anything. They fixed the bad grout spots and then proceeded to paint all the grout. It took the guy about 4.5 hours. When he was done we inspected it and had him do a couple of minor touch-ups. No big deal. When completed the floor looked like it did when it was new. GREAT! We said we should have done this years ago. Would I recommend them, in a heart beat. The price was really reasonable. Not much more than the guys that said they could clean it. So, now I know painting/staining the grout is the way to go when you can't wash away the dirt. The paint covers and seals the grout and goes on even no matter what the grout looks like. Do yourselves a favor and hire these guys when you need to do something about your dirty grout that won't come clean. read more

He also had to work around some designer accent tiles which made the work more difficult. Great attention to detail and caring customer service.
