I am way overdue to tell you how much I like Groutfix. I was in doubt my bathroom shower tile could be repaired. I looked at the Groutfix reviews and gave Gino a call. We decided to go with GF because of their all 5-star reviews. I contacted Gino for an estimate and had a few questions for the work to be done. He was straight forward and guaranteed us he would do his best to make our bathrooms look brand new. We can attest that Gino and Tom provide great customer service and high-quality work. We recently moved into an apartment and the bathrooms were hideous. Brown stuff and whatever else that grows onto tile and caulking was there. For this reason, I did not feel comfortable for any of my family members (especially our LO) to use the bathrooms. Tom came out explained what he would do with my husband and proceeded to work meticulously and efficiently to sterilize, clean, recaulk, and do some grout repair in some areas. Gino and his assistant did an excellent job in our shower. We had not used the second shower in our home since we moved in (a few years ago) due to the poor condition of the grout. They did grout repair, cleaning of all the tile and grout and staining/sealing of all the grout joints. I wish I had taken photos of what the shower used to look like. Just imagine that dark icky stuff along the bottom and grout that was orange tinted in places (too much iron in our water, I guess.). Now it looks like new, and I am not exaggerating! Somehow Martin even removed the cloudy mineral deposits on the old shower door and the shower head. As if that wasn't enough, he took a few extra minutes to redrill some holes on the shower door so that it would hang better and tighter in the frame. All that and he was done in about 4 hours. Before finding Gino, I unsuccessfully tried to get an estimate from a few other companies (one called the morning of, a Saturday no-less, around 7 am to cancel and to provide a hasty estimate over the phone without even asking the size dimensions of either bathroom or shower). Gino and Paul are OUTSTANDING!! I couldn't be happier and would highly recommend. I know this review might be lengthy, but well worth the read. I needed two bathrooms steam cleaned, the grout color stained and re- caulked. I have a white tile floor in one bathroom. To preface this, I am not that good in picking out colors. I thought I wanted a bright white stain since the floor tile is white and the grout is white (bad original move on my part). Gino recommended an alabaster (off white) and it is perfect! The bright white would have been too white (and probably more difficult to maintain). The grout in the second bathroom is beige and he had two shades that were close to matching the original grout. I thought I would want the darker color and he recommended the lighter one. I told him that he was the professional and went with the lighter color stain. He was spot on again! Gino and Paul took their time and you could tell that they are very detail oriented. I was having some moisture problems with the grout on one wall of the shower and he painstakingly worked so hard to dry it out and fix the grout. I really appreciated the extra time he took to do this. They look like new bathrooms! Gino was also reasonably and competitively priced which is also a big plus in this economy. They were also very respectful of working in my home and cleaned up everything only leaving sparkling bathrooms! Price was similar to another quote I got and Gino quoted it based on pictures. He didn't realize the floor needed his servicing but did it and didn't charge me. Very clean and meticulous. Shower looks way better than what it did previously. I wouldn't say it looks new and maybe expectations need to be tempered in that regard, but no way I could sell my house with the shower condition and now I can.
