I cannot say enough good things about Century Tile. Aziz was able to put together tiles to bring to my home for the best fit. He was able to bring samples that fit my needs and matched the rest of the house. However Mike and Christy were outstanding at making sure that the project was written up and completed correctly. Mike answers his phone at all times when the project is being completed and will always work with you to help make sure the project goes smoothly. Although, all of this work would not have turned out as well without a great installation. Luis was not only the nicest guy; his work was perfect! He was neat and made sure that every detail was taken care of. I love the work Luisdid so much I am calling tomorrow to schedule another room to be completed. Since having three main living area floors completed, I have had Century Tile remodel two of my bathrooms. These were complete remodels- floor, walls, vanity, sink, minor plumbing( toilet and faucets). Words cannot describe how pleasant it is to work with Mike and Christy. Christy always makes sure all materials are ordered and delivered on time prior to the job and can always be trusted to lean you in the correct direction both in terms of style and quality. Mike, their project coordinator, is beyond great. Just as with the first job, he is always a phone call or text away to answer any questions. He also send the best people he has to complete the job, both in terms of skills needed as well as adhering to your timeline. No matter how many jobs he has going, he consistently checks in with his workers and you to make sure items are going smoothly. Added onto this, the workers are not only skilled, but a pleasure to work with. They are professional, have always left the areas they are working on clean - even throughout the job- and communicate with you throughout the entire process. More importantly, they problem solve as needed to make sure the job is completed with exceptional quality! I am currently saving and working with Mike and Christy to have my shower/downstairs bathroom remodeled and cannot wait to have an updated shower and a beautiful downstairs bathroom! Mike, Christy, and all of the workers who have completed projects at my house, truly continue to go above and beyond! Thank you again! Another update: Century tile has worked on every room in my house! They have expertly done all of my floors and three of my bathrooms. Let me start out by saying the showroom staff was excellent. The helped us pick the right materials and walked us through the visual for the finish project. Extremely helpful. BUT THEN... IT ALL WENT TERRIBLE! We used them for install, what a disaster. Theses people do not care about installation at all. There installers are at best extraordinary lazy or just plain incompetent. The placed the cut edge of a tile at the entrance to a room that looks like complete garbage! How do you not know to put a cut edge under molding. Garbage, garbage garbage! The customer service is trash, want to fix it with a threshold that looks terrible. Fix what you screwed up! Run, and run far away from this company. They cannot be trusted. read more

I had my entire second floor done in premium vinyl. I wanted the stairs done as well, but due to the shape of the bottom step just went with staining the stairs. The tile is beautiful BUT the install turned out to be very sub par. Don't use Century tile installers. They said they could do the stairs, no problem. When they removed the carpet from the stairs only the first 4 were oak, the rest were pine. Okay, we will replace the pine. 1st - I was told that one of the old oak steps had a "small crack", no big deal according to installer, so we agreed to the number of oak pieces to replace the pine. At the time he was working on the stairs, so we couldn't see the damage. Later, when we used the stairs the step was so cracked it pinched the bottom of the your foot. I called and asked the supervisor to have them send another step. 2nd - Now the older steps had some pock marks that the install said couldn't be fixed. After the steps were stained, they looked awful. We asked that the installer replace the remaining older steps he refused because he would have to make another trip to pick up more. 3rd When done there were gaps between the riser and the steps. Installer said that installing 1/4 round would fix the problem. I went out and bought the 1/4 round and he put it on. Looked okay, turns out he only glued them on and they all fell off within 2 weeks. 4th When the installed stained the steps, he only put 1 protective coat. I asked if that was enough, he said it would be fine. It wasn't. 6 months out, they look terrible. 5th The stairs make so much noise you would think they are 30 years old. 6th - The installers cracked a tile, but it didn't show initially because it was under the door threshold molding in our bathroom. Now the tile is totally cracked and if we can find a match has to be replaced or we may have to replace the floor. I do not want an apology from the installer. That doesn't correct the problems. I have dealt with Century my entire life time...my parents before me. I was given very very poor advice about the type of flooring to install in my home by a salesman in Itasca. When then floor has developed problems suddenly the warranty I was told the floor would have....it does not. It does not withstand pets as I was told it was. When I called to inquire how to proceed with a claim, that same salesman told me I have to do it directly with the manufacturer myself. Which I soon discovered was again incorrect information. Of course Century is siding with it's salesman telling me to replace my floor? Really buy more flooring from them? I do not think so. I will NEVER EVER shop at that store again. My sister and I made an initial visit to Century in Itasca as we were in the process of replacing quite a bit of flooring in our mother's house. Two older salesmen seemed so disinterested that we were considering leaving for another flooring store. We did see something we really liked so came back the next day to match a few colors, and we met our guy! Chris Palumbo! He took the time to explain the different flooring options and then once we selected the flooring, explained how the process would work from measuring to installation. We returned to Century Tile in Itasca to purchase Alloc flooring. We purchased and installed the flooring in our kitchen, hall, powder room and laundry room about 10 yrs ago. We now wanted to extend the flooring into our dinning and front room. We were being helped by the assistant manager who knew how long ago the original Alloc was installed but stated that the old and new could be connected. I have never had so many problems with a company. To make a long story short. The problems began with a delay in instillation (day after Memorial Day). While dealing with the fact that the installers for the carpeting were going to show up even though I was told they would be pushed back a day, the Alloc installer asked were the "transition strips" were. I explained none were ordered because the old and new where to be joined, I was told that couldn't be done. Many phone calls (messages were never returned), emails and calls to the manager finally got the job done AUGUST 23rd. A second installing service was sent. We also were told that he was not installing the Alloc transition strip! At least it looks better than the gap that you saw as soon as you walked into our home. Only reason it's not a one star is because the rug was no problem. Things can go wrong but it's the handling of problems that makes a difference. They kept dropping the ball and no one seemed to care. Never even received a call to find out if everything was completed. All they care about is SALES forget about the customer or service. read more

I wouldn't give them one star if zero were an option. No customer service, indifferent and rude staff. They only care about contractors not the average homeowner looking for answers and advice. Stay away unless you have a big order and already know everything there is to know about tile. read more
