We just had our floors redone by Master Flooring. Amazing work! We moved into our new home in March and it still had carpet in the sitting room and dining room area. We ripped up the carpet one weekend and needed to match our existing floors with the new one. So we decided the best option was to install unfinished maple in this area and have our old floors sanded and everything stained. My husband contacted these guys on Wednesday and they started working on our floors Friday morning! I went to work and by the time I came home our furniture and doors were removed and placed in the garage. All the counters were covered to protect them from dust and the floors were sanded. I couldn't believe my eyes, our new floor and old floor looked like one! They returned the next day to do some more sanding and put six stain samples on the floor so we could see what it would look like and make our choice. We originally wanted dark brown, but once we saw it we decided to mix grey with the brown to create a custom color. We ended up with a 50/50 mix of the two colors. They came back on Monday and stained the floor and put on a finishing coat. Tuesday they did another coat, and Wednesday they put on the third. We absolutely love the work that they did. Our floors are beautiful and our house looks like a brand new house. I highly recommend Master Flooring if you are interested in refinishing yours floors. My floors had a ancient dark finish and were covered by carpeting for more than 20 years. The was some water damage to the floor and prior were not visible until the carpet was removed. Martin provided a concise project plan, expert ideas on finishing and for how to make a difficult transition to the kitchen, and offered a very reasonable price, Martin worked quickly on the living room, dining room, and bedrooms, cleaned up each day, and left the floors more beautiful than I could have imaged. He installed new a oak-quarter-round base shoe throughout the living and dining area and the effect with natural wood color is stanning.
