AJ and his crew came out to clean my gutters, but also noticed a soft and wet spot on my roof, which led to a very necessary roof repair. The crew and AJ handled it with ease and were extremely professional the whole time, I'm very grateful for AJ coming out and not only solving my original issue, but taking the extra step to find another issue that needed to be solved. read more

Would not hire again unless there was a critical need. A high bid, equally high pressure to start the work immediately and, while they solved the problem, the finished work does not look good. I had a leak somewhere around a second story window that let rainwater into the house. Art was the first to respond to a few calls I made to local contractors and we setup an appointment for an estimate the next morning. He shows up with a crew, makes a bid, and then pushes to get started: "This is the day to do it. You've got a leak in your house!" Seems to be the MO: first to respond, high sales pressure. At the end of the day, the job site was well-cleaned and the second story window looked OK at first glance. Several days later, I saw siding flapping above the window. Going up to look, I saw the siding that had been reinstalled after they had sealed the leaking areas had been trimmed too short to stay behind the J-channel. There were also about 5-6 new cracks several places in the vinyl and also several steel nails, now with visible rust, that had been used to hold the vinyl siding latched together. I would have preferred new siding purchased and installed if pieces were cracked during the re-install, but was not given the option. Art was very responsive to a call regarding these issues and came back out the same day with his siding guy. They took a look and we discussed. Art preferred, and I agreed, not to take pieces off and potentially expose new holes that could admit water. I complained the siding was cut and now it doesn't fit well; the siding guy gave a speech claiming he did not cut it. The discussion ended with Art saying "we'll doctor it up". 15 minutes later they had disappeared without a word. They caulked most of the cracks they had created and added more face nails through the vinyl to keep it in place above the window. A couple other off-handed comments that afternoon made me question his ethics and quality standards. Art pointed to some cracked siding in the bottom course due to the lawnmower - and seemed to imply that I shouldn't worry about cracks they had made around the window since I already had some cracked siding down below. He also distanced himself from the quality issue saying he was just the roofing guy - he didn't work on the siding. I would expect the company owner (?) and crew chief to take ownership for the entirety of the project, including the final quality. read more

With the heavy storms, I noticed water coming over the side of my roof. I was referred to AJ by a trusted roofer. He scheduled only a day out, came out on time, and found a hole in the roof during the inspection. I later showed my insurance agent the pictures he sent, and he was really impressed by the price and quality of the work. Thanks AJ! read more

Absolutely would not hire AJ again. Not only is this guy pushing a hard sale at every opportunity, but he's rude, expensive, always has a new crew of different/ new guys, leaving the property a mess, and couldn't even fix the issue at hand. read more

We love working with Art! He and his crew do a great job! They did a great job fixing our gutters and downspouts.

We had Art come out to our property last fall to seal up the gutter corners on our house and garage. He also replaced 2 downspouts, all to the tune of $1500. The next rain storm the corners were leaking worse than before. Art had stated it wasn't warm enough out, which would have been good to know before he performed the work as we would have waited. Art and his guys came back out a few weeks after that when it was a tad warmer out to reseal the corners again. Well, they've been leaking ever since. Art has stated he would come back out when it was warmer out. I've followed up with him 3 times this summer and he still hasn't made it right. He's quick to take your money but zero follow through to make the situation right. Super disappointing. read more

Great job and reasonably priced. Art came out and inspected where rain was overflowing gutters. I thought some brackets were loose or missing and he fixed them. Also determined downspout was blocked and he cleared that out. Replaced one 13' run quickly. I'm very satisfied with his work and the price charged. read more

I had my gutters repaired and cleaned in June. Since then I had a few small problems. Art and his crew have been so helpful. They have come back several times and done everything they could to resolve the new problems that occurred. I appreciate how polite they have been. Art has really made sure that I have been happy with the work that they have done. Not sure why this say I am in San Francisco. I'm in Libertyville Illinois! read more

Responsive, professional and quality craftsmanship. Art and his team were prompt and respectful. I had called another local (Highland Park) gutter company. Their employee showed up, did a 2 minute visual inspection and then gave me a ridiculous quote. Art and his team climbed up their ladder's inspected ALL OF MY GUTTERS. Gave me a reasonable quote and completed the job. This is a company who takes pride in their work and stands behind it! read more

Art was gracious enough to come out to my house and take a look at my roof for a second quote. I was not able get home in time to be there. Art explained everything to me in detail similar to the first quote I had received and also sent pictures. Unfortunately, Art was not able to do the job as he didn't fit into my timeline. Art was extremely honest and made sure I knew what to ask for as far as specific products roofers use that are better than others. I would highly recommend AJ's Windows & Gutters for your next project!!! read more

This is the worst place ever that you want to call for any services. I paid $1500 to get my gutters cleaned and all of them started leaking a month later. The gutters at the time of cleaning had all ice in it and they tried to break the ice to let them out. They all then started leaking. I called for a service call and after 2 days someone called me and yelled at me over the phone and called me an ass and used f words all over. They ripped me off big time and I just want to tell you to stay away from them for any type of services. read more

Called AJ's in the morning and received a call back within a few hours to set up an appointment for later that day. Art walked around the whole house and took his time answering all my questions and walked me through my options. He gave me a fair quote on all the work and his team got started right there. Cleaned all the vinyl siding, repaired a few loose pieces, fixed a downspout and even washed the windows. Very impressed with the attention to detail. This wasn't an in and out job in 30 minutes. They took their time to make sure the work was done right. Super happy with the results and my house is now show ready to put on the market. Would highly recommend. read more

Art and his crew is a gem of a company. Fast, reliable, and on time, very clean and professional as well, polite and respectful of surrounding neighbors. Could not have been more pleased with the job they did! No hidden supprises when it came time to pay the bill everything was up front right on the table. They even took my dog for a short walk which I was very grateful for since i was gone for most of the day. read more

I called today for an appointment to have my gutters cleaned. I was immediately told all dates for any cleaning services would be booked out to late August as this wasn't the problem. When I ask (with square footage and information needed) how much it would cost a round about price and my question was rudely declined. So AJ's window cleaning wanted me to wait a month and not get any information about the services I was requesting in late August... I'm sorry but too many red flag warnings for me. read more

I agree. I am not sure how they get any good reviews. Their quote was 3x that of anybody else and they wanted to charge extra to do the inside. Very aggressive in their approach read more

This company does all the right things. They call you back, show up on time, work hard and fast. The job was done right and i was impressed with their work. It was a little more expensive than others but you get what you pay for and the extra money was well worth it. read more

I needed gutter cleaning and multiple repairs. Very happy with repairs, but the gutter cleaning was 375$ for my 2 story 4bdm house. Job done well, and to me that counts. Will definitely call them if I need repairs, but for simple gutter cleaning will most likely look elsewhere for better price. They take credit cards, you don't have to be home during work, they can send you pictures. read more

Five stars to Mike and his team for fixing my gutter damage, on a cold winter day, before it became a bigger problem. Recent strong winds resulted in about 9 ft of gutter pulling away from the roof and hanging by a thread. The overload of melting and re-freezing ice caused what remained to bend and further separate from the roof. I reached out to AJ's Windows and Gutters via email with a picture and received a call shortly thereafter to discuss my gutter issue. After coordinating schedules, Mike came out, assessed the work and estimated a fair and reasonable price. Gutter is back to new and I now can rest easily knowing that when the spring comes, the water will be in the gutters not in the walls of my house! Will definitely keep AJ's in mind for any future gutter/roof/window needs. read more

once we ended a game of phone tag, Mike and crew were out at our condo within an hour of the call. I must have called about 6 contractors to get someone out to clear a clogged downspout and i couldn't get anyone out to take care of it (let alone call me back). so kudos to the team here. Guys were super friendly/professional, and they knocked out the project at a fair price. I'll see you another day when the pipe gets clogged again... read more

I am highly impressed with their service and professionalism! I called them in hopes that I can get an estimate the same day I called as the first company that I booked an appointment with blew me off with no phone call and no show!! Mike is the one that took my call and informed me he had a couple other jobs that he had to get done but would definitely call me when he was done. Sure enough got a call around 4 pm, was out by 5 pm and to my surprise he was able to do the job the same day! They had all the materials! I couldnt be happier, now if this fixes the problem I am having it will be a success!! I will be recommending them for sure! read more

Used them again for my leaves in the gutter. Great service as always. On time. Quick and effective. Would recommend to anyone.

Highly recommend this company! I hired AJ's Windows & Gutters in mid June as my basement was taking in water due to clogged downspouts. The crew showed up promptly and did an excellent job hosing out all the gutters and downspouts. More debris fell in my gutters in July (on a very rainy day) and the crew came out and cleaned the problem area for free. I read the review that mentioned they aren't the least expensive company to go with... This company is fully insured, has excellent workers, quickly responds to customers, and backs up their work. I would say their prices are very fair and you get what you pay for. I will definitely be calling this company again. read more

From my call to the company (first time) to today's service it was a great experience. From the moment I saw them pull up & my first impression with Michael (foreman) it was personable and professional. We needed gutter cleaning, downspout & repairs: all done with accuracy, great clean-up, and explanation of services. A fair price for a pro job with the personal touch: highly recommended! read more

Mike and his crew replaced a dated plastic roof and gutter on a three season porch that was causing water to leak into the room and down the window sills. The result not only fixed the leaking but made the porch more visually appealing. The job took two days and I was pleased to see that they had hauled away all of the debris at the end of the first day leaving the backyard as they found it when they arrived. Job well done!! Thank you AJ's Windows & Gutters! read more

Fast, courteous, professional. Art and his crew were here to quote us within an hour of calling. Did a superbly thorough job of power washing our house with a tricky incline, even got the wasps nest! Highly recommend, will definitely use again! read more

Impressed with this company! They were professional and showed up on time to take a look at a gutter problem I had. The owner was prompt at returning my call when inquiring about services. He explained everything clearly, even showed me pictures on the situation, then got right to work. Overall, a great experience and my problem was fixed. read more

Highly recommend Art and his team at AJ's. They were prompt, professional and answered all of my questions thoroughly. They came over the same day I called, provided a reasonable quote, and then completed the work by 5 pm that day. Will definitely use them again for any of my gutter needs. read more

Quality gutter cleaning & repairs. Quick response time. I'd hire them for my gutter needs

Not sure how these guys are getting rated so high. I feel like I got screwed. I had them clean my gutters and make some repairs. $1600 later, I have gutters that are not working properly. They removed and discarded the leaf guards. The gutters overflow when it rains. The only reason they are getting 2 stars is because they worked until 8pm that evening. read more

I was referred to AJ's Windows & Gutters from a neighbor. They were prompt, and did great work. Would definately use them in the future!

My gutters were in need of a good cleaning and Art and his team responded quickly and professionally. Communication was excellent and the work was completed on the same day I called. Not inexpensive, but the service was prompt and well done. read more

A J's called back quickly and showed up when they promised. They cleaned our very full 2nd story gutters and installed some gutter covers we had purchased. The first time they came, they were prepared to do the job right then. I checked their reviews online and told them to go ahead. The work was done quickly and well. They did additional cleaning of lower gutters that I didn't ask for and didn't dump the gutter contents on my landscaping. They showed me pictures of the completed work. We have had hard rain and the gutters are working with no overflow. Their price was high, but worth it to me to finally have the whole thing done by one crew. read more

I heard about AJ's from a neighbor of mine so I figured I'd check them out. I had them come out to clean my gutters and couldn't be happier with the result! The staff was very professional and the prices were reasonable. I would recommend AJ's to anyone looking for a job well done. read more

I know better to get a second estimate, but needed some gutter repair work. I paid about twice what I should have. Read their estimate closely as it may not be what you had discussed. read more

I have used this company twice and have been extremely satisfied with the work performed both times. They cleaned my gutters in the fall, came on time, did a great job and importantly, cleaned up after the work. More recently, during all of these frigid temps, I discovered water coming into the walls caused by ice dams and snow on my roof. I called them the day I discovered it, and they came the same day in below zero degree temps to avoid allowing the damage to continue. They removed all of the snow and ice from my roof in the freezing weather in a very professional manner and cleaned everything up. They even cleaned the ice off my driveway! I was so impressed that they came the same day in weather that most people would not have worked in. They prevented further damage with their quick response. They do quality work and stand behind it. I would definitely recommend this company. read more

Outstanding Company! My wife and I were in a panic when the water was coming into our Winnetka home's third floor dormer which is very near the gutter line. We made several calls to no avail. Then A.J. himself called us back that day and said he had crews out in the North Shore area. After explaining our situation to him and the damage we were occurring he put our minds to ease. Not only did the man sound Professional he walked us through the most likely scenario of what's going on but made it clear his Manager would have to really look at the problem for a proper diagnosis. We completely understood. After a few hours flew by his Manager and Team were at our door and upon inspection it was noted by his Technicians that our gutters were full of cottonwood debris from our tree along with our downspouts being jammed up. And our cedar roof had several planks fallen out and washed either into the valley and or gutters. His technician who by the way has tons of experience in roofing and gutters also let us know we had no felt paper and or ice and water shield under our planks. Which would have helped tremendously! We could go on and on about such a Wonderful Company and it's Employees. We felt very at ease when they were over for not only getting to the bottom of our problem but as well walking us through the whole process. After the gutters and downspouts were clean and cleared they even ran water through the entire system and gave us an Free evaluation to which they a few things to shore up. After they fixed our roof which was on the spot it has Not leaked since. We would recommended this fine Company to all our Neighbors and Friends and Family and Thanks again A.J.'S. We will call on you guys again! read more

Be aware. The work that was accomplished is fine. Not spectacular, not terrible, it was fine. I asked for: Gutter cleaning & power washing of vinyl siding ( a lot of mold), they included window washing which was 'thrown in' in spite of my protests as it was about to rain and the house is old ( built 1937) clean windows won't change that fact. The overall crew's listening/comprehension skills were sub par. Nice guys..sub par. The owner of the company (AJ) was on site during a majority of the work. Once problems started to occur, I confronted him....he said "yeah but look how great This part turned out"... It was almost amusing. He left before the end of the efforts to avoid (I'm guessing) additional confrontation. Allegedly, he only enjoys clients with means. He made That abundantly evidentto me at the beginning ----before ever seeing my home----that he may reside in Wauconda but doesn't do much "work " there. I imagine that he left without saying goodbye because he wanted to make certain my check would clear. My real rant is about the up charges. Original quote was $1885. Final $2670. I was promised the equivalent of a doctor's diagnosis (his words, not mine) where my gutters were concerned. That didn't happen. I wasn't told anything about the gutters except that 3 were damaged. $275 per downspout to repair. I agreed to this without realizing it was PER gutter and I accept full responsibility for that. AJ, if you're listening.... relax, The check will clear - and - Never again. This 1st time client is a last time client. You won't have to work in this part of Wauconda again. Thanks for the 10% off. Good luck in the nice neighborhoods. read more

AJ's sent to my home very professional team members. They were meticulous and took great pride in their work (double and triple-checking each window to be sure there were no residual spots). The team was courteous and respectful. It also did a great job at cleaning up after itself. I will use AJ's every year to clean my windows and gutters. read more
