Every time I go to the store I'm greeted with friendly employees and customers. On a regular basis I shop here and the parking lot is always full for good reason. They're a small store but their stock is revolving and they carry some awesome items add some excellent prices. What I love most is the interaction I have with everyone in the store. I always leave with a smile on my face.

I am disabled with SCA 1. This store is highly accessible and has a great selection. Their cashiers are very helpful.

I looked at the wrapping paper near the doors while I waiting to grab a cart. A customer brought in a cart from outside so I grabbed it not thinking anything of it since a customer was using it. I started doing some shopping. My mom called so I was on the phone when I hear someone trying to get my attention so I tell my mom I have to go someone is talking to me. The manager says in a rude tone " did you take my cart?!" I say no and I'm really confused at this point. "Did it have a bunch of cardboard in it?!" I say "no, someone brought it in from outside so I grabbed it. It was empty." Then she leaves and comes back bringing me another cart saying "here take this one, that cart is just for employees". This was just a really embarrassing experience with other customers around starring at this lady yelling at me for no reason. She could have calmly came up saying " excuse me, sorry this cart is just for employees to use as it doesn't have the pole on it. Let me find you another cart to use". But instead I get yelled at and accused of taking her cart and taking her cardboard out and putting my things in. At first I didn't even know she was an employee let alone a manager. This is not an appropriate way to approach customers or anyone for that matter. Do better. Get a different job not dealing with the public if you don't even know how to treat people with respect. Don't go around accusing people of things when you don't know the truth. I was just a customer trying to do some shopping and grabbed the only cart I thought was available.

I am not pregnant. I was absolutely MORTIFIED. Granted, I have a few extra pounds, but am not by any means obese, nor do I carry my extra pounds straight out in front of me like I'm seven months along. She did not ask if I was pregnant. That would be more forgivable. She judged my weight, assumed I was, and asked when I was due. The ONLY time that would be acceptable is if the person is visibly 8+ months pregnant, buying baby items, and just for safety, that person better be wearing a 'bun in the oven' t-shirt. This is NOT acceptable small talk at the register otherwise. I laughed it off at the register, then promptly sat in my car for a good ten minutes just shocked that she thought it was okay to ask that of a complete stranger. Not only was my pride hurt, that can be fixed with a good laugh. But what if this was said to someone who just lost a baby? Or to someone who is fighting depression or self esteem issues? Or someone who has no choice about carrying extra pounds because of a medical condition? In my working life, I know this sort of thing was gone over multiple times to avoid these sorts of moments. You don't comment on the health or appearance of someone unless it it pertinent to the situation. I'll happily shop elsewhere and pay a little bit more if it means the employees have more common sense.

This place scared the shit out of me and that's no lie…read more I was seeking a little adventure in Bend and decided to stray from my usual haunts to find something unique. But this place is not only odd and completely non-conformist, I think it might be haunted. If you were a little kid, you would never in a million years knock on the door at Halloween. I find it hard to describe, so this is one where you should check out the photos. The farm is filled with sculptures that are a combination of whimsical and head scratching. A sign post with one arrow pointing to "Beaten Path" and another to "Off." Cows hanging from the trees, two-headed bowlers and the oddest wind chimes I've ever seen. Most appear to have been created many years ago, so like Petersen's Rock Garden, this place seems to be losing the battle to decay and the elements. You walk in the front door to a combination antique store and costume shop and the centerpiece is a dollhouse with a miniature TV inside playing a movie. One small room rambles into another through twists and turns and then you are outside. The most interesting thing for my family was the house with a kaleidoscope that you view by sticking your head in Carmen Miranda's mouth. According to their sign, they are currently open Friday - Monday from 11:02a - 6:03p. We drove up outside of those hours and the owner arrived while we were there and let us in anyway. When we were leaving I thanked him for letting us go on a tour and I mentioned that I heard about his shop through an article about Oregon oddities and he got a far away look in his eyes and said, "Well, my mother always said I was odd." Visions of Psycho. Run!

The Funny Farm has seen better days. On my first visit in the early 90s, the Farm was…read morewell-maintained and well-loved by tourists, who posed with surly fainting goats and mammoth surreal statuary, got unofficially hitched by the Love Pool and bought bowling ball seeds by the packet. The park gradually began to age but stayed on a more or less even keel until 2005, when one half of the couple who built and maintained the farm passed away. Since then, "The Far Out Park & Playground of Reuse and Recycling" has seen progressively tougher times, culminating in the surviving proprietor's arrest for the alleged sale of marijuana and methamphetamine in late 2007. Despite the tragic circumstances that have led to the downfall of this once-popular outsider art haven, there is a sad beauty about the Funny Farm's decay. As the psychedelic statuary bleaches and crumbles under the Central Oregon sun and native plants begin to reclaim the land, the Farm sheds its kitschy veneer for something more natural and poignant. You'd swear the bowling ball trees really were spreading their roots in the dusty soil. Artistic mementos of Gene and Mike's sadly abbreviated relationship are everywhere. Nowhere but the Funny Farm could a statue of a two-headed bowler in a silly-looking neon onesie have such emotional gravity. A dirt yard in back of the main house is covered with half-finished projects and bits of junk that may have once had artistic potential, now long-abandoned and rusting away. There are few things sadder or so emblematic of wasted potential than a work in progress that just stopped progressing. That's the Funny Farm. Warning: I have no idea if this place is actually still around, and I hope someone more familiar with the attraction will shed some light on its current status. The proprietor of the Farm and his surviving family have clashed with the law on a number of occasions in the last decade, and as a result the Funny Farm has been closed with great finality and then reopened quietly multiple times. Roadside America reports it open as of October 2008, but I can make no guarantees.

We have businesses where we second hand as much as possible with regular turnover (we do not sell the products, we use them). In the past we spent so much at this store that one time the person ringing us up commented about it. They saw something in the system (connected to our phone number) about our total spent YTD and their eyes got wide, so we explained what we do for our business and that what they could see was just for their location. What I am saying is... we have a pulse on what is a good and fair price for these sort of things. I looked at a couch not to long ago at this location. It was half off. The price was still, with the discount, over $1600. When you pay 0% for your inventory you should not be charging consignment prices. Full stop. It is a poor business choice. The idea is to turn over the inventory because more is coming while passing on a lovely savings to your customers. Not hang on to it while it collects dust because you've out priced the new items being manufactured. Know your customer base and price accordingly. We have left empty handed from this store every single visit this year (2026) because the prices have skyrocketed. For reference, we were looking for a washer and dryer...found one brand new at Lowe's cheaper than this Restore had (used no less). That is why I am writing this review. If the free inventory you receive is higher priced than the brand new inventory from the original store...well...here's your sign. So, we will likely have to drop this store from our rotation because time is precious and we cannot waste trips when we could find a better resource to take its place. That's just how it goes, I guess, but it saddens us because we like to support good causes and keep things out of the dump.

Whether I'm asking where something is, looking for a substitute, or doing the classic "I know this was here yesterday" aisle stare, someone is always willing to help. The produce is generally fresh, and while the occasional item is out of stock, that feels pretty normal--especially around busy times. I also want to give a shout-out to a front-end manager named Gio. Just this week, I made a totally my-fault mistake at checkout involving cash back, and Gio handled it immediately with calm, professional kindness. It was a small moment that really captured the level of customer service I've come to expect here. Solid groceries, genuinely good people, and customer service that keeps a Redmond regular coming back. Rock on, Freddy's
