While it's hard to pay their price, the candy is sure superb. It's a great place to go for something special.

I highly recommend pairing the honey lavender gelato with a shot of espresso--it's a flavor combination that's both bold and beautifully balanced. The shop itself is a candy lover's dream, packed with unique and nostalgic treats from around the world. Every corner offers a fun surprise. You can truly feel the joy and passion behind it--the owner created this place simply because he thought it would be fun, and it absolutely is! Top-notch service, an endless selection of global sweets, and the most delicious affogato I've tasted in years. This place is a must-visit!

Then I wandered past epic niche character candies like Krabby Patties, Red Fox Animal Poo Cotton Candy, and gummy sushi setups. The back of the store amplified the original Willie Wonka movie on a big video board. The shop is stocked and tight, good that means more candy. There is ice cream and a chocolate/confections case. The girl working on the busty rainy Saturday was communicative and kind despite doing 4 things at once. This is a classic candy shop. Do you want to eat crickets? You can! But I'll settle for my colas. A Jones soda bottle cap was on the bench outside where I sat to write this review, the inside read, "you are worthy of good things." Cravin's made me believe that a little more. Thanks!

There's 7 or 8 colored pieces of paper with grammatically incorrect fun facts about the chocolate making process, and full (towards the end) of not so subtle advertisement for Goody's corporate services. The ice cream is bland, half the stock is missing (2 cookie dough flavors despite this being their proclaimed cookie dough season, 10 ice cream tubs 3 of which were almost empty, about 20 types of chocolate, 3 varieties of popcorn plus an empty popcorn maker and 5 or so empty popcorn containers). The place is very sad looking, aided by the dim florescent lighting, melancholy quote on the wall (I'm not kidding, the quote by the ice cream is about how it never gets less sad to drop your ice cream), unenthusuastic staff and fed-up looking management. The chocolates are OK, and don't deserve more attention than that statement.

I stayed overnight in Bend, Oregon and bookedmarked this place to visit to have an ice cream stop…read moreto get marionberry flavor Which can be found in state of Oregon. It was overwhelming once I entered this store there was a candy section, a popcorn , ice cream section and a historical section. I initially came for the ice cream break after a long drive from Portland to Bend,Oregon. They give free sample ice cream and then hard to decide what flavors to pick for the cup. LOL This is a very nice, cozy, pretty, old lumber city in the Cascade Mountain range. We were the only ones in he store, so we basically had a whole place to ourselves, but as we left another person entered the store. The chocolates reminded me of a mom and pop candy shop I seen similar to the one I seen in Alaska called Ketchikan candies because they had similar looking chocolate covered Oreo that was half green and chocolate and decided why not buy some random chocolates I picked in a white box. The younger teenager boy was really friendly and I think we made his day because we bought the seconds truffles that were not perfect looking and my 2 boxes candies. One for myself and one as a gift which he put a nice ribbon around. :-) I asked the young man which ones were good and he said the sea salted Carmels and chocolate potato chips were good. I gave him a face said really? Potato chips? Well he sold me on it and bought one. Well he wasn't kidding because it was the bomb and was great! I wished I bought more! The square sea salt caramels had sea salt flavor and the caramel was smooth. I wasn't too sure how many stars I would give Goody so I decided on three stars because of the variety of things they offered in the factory store from ice cream, candy, popcorn, a small tour of behind the scenes to catch them making and boxing candy up. It's a Mini self guided walk through tour where you just walk into a hall, read process of chocolate and see workers working on chocolates which only open weekdays certain hours is nice , but I came on weekend so I missed it. From their website it states gluten free, preservatives free and no additives. Creative and unique chocolates. A chocolate company founded in Oregon. For me It is not the best candy in the world that must keep returning time and time again, but it is a good place to visit. I am from San Francisco and done traveling in other places and have a good idea what makes a good gourmet chocolate. Of course my tastes are different from yours. Candy flavors are a hit or miss depending which ones you get. I just finished my box of chocolates and I I must update my review. My hits are the chocolate covered potato chips, peanut butter milk chocolate square with sea salt, the salted dark Carmel were excellent IF you love intense raspberry flavor you must get the raspberry truffle!
