Such a cute candy shop! They have a gluten free candy list you can use to help navigate what is safe and not safe for Celiacs like you and me. I loved that! Clean, bright, pretty candy place with friendly helpful staff. Chocolate, not chocolate, gummies, sours, nostalgic candies of my youth...fun sodas - even the Asian ones with the marble. $5 credit card minimum. As if!!! You know I spent way more than that especially with that gluten free list in hand. I love candy. Candy is the best. This store? Yes. I used to work across the street and would enjoy scratching my sweet tooth itch when needed. This store has tons of options and a super helpful staff. Not only do they have the normal chocolate items and gummy bears but also fun gag style gifts to give to your nieces and nephews. Cricket and scorpion lollipops, sour cream and onion or bacon and cheddar crickets - spicy candies and more. I didn't expect the crickets to be as big of a hit ads they were with my niece and every time we sent her a package or she came to town we had to get her some more. Cute little candy store. Brings back memories of when I was a child. Brought my 3-yo kiddo there and it was fun watching him get excited about picking out his candies. Given the cost per pound (~$10), this is definitely only once in a while outings. Would have been 5-stars but some of the gummies were a little hard. read more

I was treated horribly my first time ever going here. I was just looking at the candy, I went to look at the newer flavors of the ooze tubes, I set it back down in the place I got it, and the employee comes up to me and asks to check my sleeves and pockets very disrespectfully. I showed her the exact tube I had set back down and she still told me to show her my sleeves and I did it twice for her!! She asked twice!! She also checked all my pockets and when I was doing so my boyfriend asked what was going on and the employee completely ignored him. If you have dyed hair and piercings these employees will treat you horribly and assume the absolute worst of you. I don't recommend ever shopping here. If I could leave less than a 1 star rating I would. read more

I love this candy shop! They've got an excellent assortment of both old school as well as newer candy at reasonable prices. I'm honestly not sure why they've got just 3 stars or negative reviews at all, because every single time I go into this establishment I'm always greeted with friendly faces and helpful employees. Alan, the owner, is always happy to answer questions and/or point you in the right direction. Were they taking precautionary measures during the worst of the Covid-19 pandemic and requiring shoppers to also wear masks? Yes, and that's something to be applauded, not admonished! If I could give you one star I would. Your employee just shammed my daughter (who was in fact, wearing a face covering) out of your store! I have been your biggest supporter but I won't ever be back after being treated so poorly by your employee! You should train your employees to speak to PARENTS about issues rather them speaking to my 8 year old daughter. read more

Zero stars. Gentleman (I believe to be the owner) yelled at my child from across the store for touching the candy, just as I was telling him he couldn't do that. He frightened and embarrassed him. When I told him to not yell at my son, he then argued with me. So unprofessional. Horrible way for someone to behave. read more

Stopped by this new candy shop tonight in between going to the movies in the Old Mill District. The shop itself isn't quite as packed with candy as Powell's Sweet Shop, but I feel like that's a good thing -- this has a cleaner feel to it and it was much more easier to maneuver while inside. The selection was really nice, too -- they had some of my old favorites as well as some new-to-me candies. I especially appreciate the amount of Japanese candy they carry -- it's so hard to find in this area! (I hope they start carrying Japanese Kit Kats!) Besides having a great selection of candy, the people who were running the counter and restocking the candy were SUPER nice and friendly, which goes a LONG way to making me want to return to a store! I don't know if they were the owners/managers or what, but they acted happy to be there and happy to be helping me. Pricewise, this shop is pretty spendy...but no more so than your average candy shop of this variety AND the price is also understandable considering what they're probably paying in rent for their location. The great location and excellent customer service makes this shop worth a trip! read more

They packaged candies normally self serve into zip loc bags and didn't seem to take bit of the date because my candy was gross! The nuts were rancid in my toffee so I called to let them know to throw the rest out so no one else spent that much money on trash and tasted something so awful. I visited this store with my mother and nephew and the owner treated us horribly. He decided to discriminate against my face covering because it wasn't good enough for him. He tried to pretend he was a doctor and tell me what type of face covering I was only allowed to wear and lied and said that wearing a face covering was a "law" which it is not and acting as a medical doctor is a violation of LAW. He proceeded to say he would call the police on me because he didn't like my face covering. He was rude and raised his voice. I would and will never shop at this store EVER again furthermore we went to GOODY's downtown who has MUCH better sweets and ended up giving the person working the counter a 20$ tip because her service was excellent and she LOVED my face covering! Alan is a horrible human and rude and discriminates against people with medical conditions, elderly who wear specific face coverings that allow them to breathe. read more

Uhm, can you say amazing? My husband and I try very hard to shop locally. One night we were walking around the Old Mill and strolled into the STCS. The shoppe is clean, inviting, and fun! I felt like I was 13 again picking out candy for a movie! The owner was working the register and told us about his move up here from California- he has got to be one of the friendliest business owners/Californian's we have ever met. This is now a go-to spot before any movie. My favorite part is the colorful sixlet wall! The selection is wide and the prices are moderate. I also love all the old fashioned candies they offer, they make amazing gifts to older generations! :) Take my word for it, and thank me later! Update.... Removed two stars :( Very sad to do so. I went in last Wednesday, the 18th, looking for a birthday present for my nephew. When I first walked in I saw a small little container that was clear plastic and was full of green and yellow jelly beans. They also had a few bigger ones with black and orange. We all love the ducks in my family, so I picked out the duck themed one, I then went and got a stuffed animal, and a few random but unique little candies. When I saw a store associate (a young guy, like 16) I asked him if the little containers were priced as marked or if you had to weigh the candy. He told me they all were priced as marked. After making one more round, I went to the register to pay. The container was marked $3.99. After he looked at the container with the jelly beans, he said "I'm not sure this is the right price, I'll be right back.", he went into a back room and I could hear a woman's voice. When he came out he said that the container had been priced incorrectly, and it was actually $14.99 (I think that's the price he said, I remember it was like quadruple what it was marked). I was kind of confused, he then told me the manager said that since it was priced wrong I could get a discount, but not buy it at the price marked, and that she was sorry. So, I told him I'd rather go to Target. Here are my issues with this... 1. This poor little 16 year old boy seemed so uncomfortable having to relay this message, I felt so awful for him. What type of manager sends an associate out to do a managers job?! 2. Holy cow, this was a small little clear plastic container, like I'm talking 2 for $1.00 at Michaels. I know that it's a boutique candy shoppe, but, seriously?! That's like two tanks of premium gas!! 3. I have works in retail for a long time, and I also own my own business. You would NEVER see me not sell someone something for the price it's marked. Ever. Not trying to be cheap here, but to me, that is horrible customer service to have the client loose from YOUR mistake. Seemed pretty greedy to make such a wave over something that was done incorrectly on their end. I loved this place. And, I may give it another chance, but I will think twice. Bulk chocolate tastes minty... all of it has this weird banana/mint tinted taste and it's disgusting.

My 11 year old kids went in and were looking at a plastic covered giant gummy bear and my son accidentally dropped it on the floor cracking the plastic. The girl working made my kids come up with $6 to pay for it. I felt like that was a bit silly for candy, so I went in to try to get my daughters money back and the girl refused. I asked the girl if they were goofing around when it happened and she said no, that it slipped. I said I would cover half since that would cover the cost of it and she would not even give me $3 back! It looks like it has a great options and that's the thing, they totally do, but I've now visited this candy store roughly 4-5 times that I remember and every time I go, the candy they have is old.. Last summer, while visiting Bend, we walked through the Old Mill District and went into Sweet Tooth Candy Shop. It's a bright. cheery store with a HUGE selection of candy. It was hard to decide what I wanted ... but was no problem for my grandsons! Mishayla was the girl who waited on us, and she was very sweet and helpful. This candy shop is a good example of why small businesses struggle these days: they forget about winning customers. On our visit, the kids were eager to try some post skiing treats. Unfortunately, it ended badly when the kids were loudly reprimanded (and embarrassed) after their jelly beans came out very fast. We were forced to buy the jelly beans we didn't want in a very unpleasant exchange with Mary, Queen of Sweets. If businesses would remember to put the customer first, over the small cost of some unwanted jellybeans, we would all win. read more

Whether you love in Bend or our just visiting, a must go place is Sweet Tooth Candy Shoppe in the Old Mill District. This super clean, super fun, well appointed candy store is retail at it's finest. The decor is bright and cheerful, and did I mention CLEAN? You could eat off of the floor in this place! There is a huge selection of bulk candy as well as a variety of nostalgic candies so there is something for everyone.The customer service there is also first rate. I asked about a candy that they didn't have and they offered to order it just for me! Does that ever happen anymore? The owners of the shop are about the nicest people you would ever want to meet. We don't live in Bend and they spent a lot of time telling us about all the great things that Bend has to offer. They really love their community! I highly recommend this store. read more

They have a great selection of chocolates ( my favorite), gummies, hard candies, the classics and the latest fad candies! They have it all! Anything you can possibly imagine! Every detail in the decor of the store is bright, clean, cheery and appealing to the eye. The owners are the nicest people you will ever meet and the staff is incredibly helpful and kind. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I have gone here a few times because I like to support small, local businesses but the owner of this business is just awful. When I go to a candy shop, I always think of it as being a fun experience. I get to browse around and take my time but not here. The staff here are young kids that aren't very welcoming and don't look very happy to be working there. The woman that owns the place (I think her name is Lisa) is just awful. She's constantly belittling her employees in front of customers and instead of trying to give them confidence, she just knocks them down. If that isn't enough, it is very over priced! The candy seems old as well. It doesn't have that fresh texture to it that I like. It's hard and chewy and I almost broke a tooth eating the gummies I bought. Between those things, that's reason enough to not shop there. If you want a great experience, take the kids to Powell's downtown. They are reasonably priced, friendly staff, great location, the selection is great, and the ambiance is awesome. Everything is fresh and I would much rather support a small business who takes care of their employees and knows how to treat the youth of today to build them into positive, contributing individuals. read more

My husband and I were passing through Bend today on our way up to Washington state. We stopped at the Old Mill Shopping Center, and found ourselves in this wonderful little store! We were met with a friendly greeting from the clerk (who we found out later was actually the store owner). Our first impression of the store was that it was clean, colorful, and fun. It is filled with an incredible variety of candy, and we thoroughly enjoyed seeing so much candy we had loved as kids. The décor is almost magical. All of the displays are made to look like oversized candy. Fun, fun, fun! When we were ready to check out, there were 3 girls in line ahead of us. Once their candy was rung up, they realized they did not have enough money to pay for it. Without hesitation, the owner of the store reached into her apron pocket and took out enough money to cover the remaining cost of the candy! We were quite impressed with her kindness! We don't get to visit Bend very often, but we will definitely put Sweet Tooth on our list of "must see" places next time we are in town! And boo to the reviewer who gave this charming store 1 star because her kids were asked to pay for candy they damaged. As parents, if we are going to let our kids handle things in stores, then we should also be willing to be responsible enough to pay for anything they break. read more
