This is an excellent home decor and boutique located right in downtown Bend! There is all kinds of unique items to decorate your home in a tasteful and modern way. My wife and I stop in every time we visit from Portland, they constantly have new fun home decor that complements our style. On our last trip we found some glasses we really liked, though they were down to their last pair. We put our names on the interest list and after about a month they reached out to let us know they were back in stock. We got a pair for our friends and a set for ourselves. My partner and I stopped in this store on a trip to Bend and were delighted with our experience! We were helped by a Amy. She was so helpful and welcoming and did a great job of presenting the goods in the store and their back story. Not only that, but she helped us find local eateries and outdoor activities! The store also had sanitizer when you walked in to help you feel COVID safe and plenty of room to browse. Now, we are working on furnishing a home in the Bay Area and I am turning to their website for some decor which has been super easy and I get updates on when my items are shipping! We bought two new leather chairs for our house when we moved to Bend. I LOVED the way they looked and was excited to purchase them from Lark instead of somewhere online. I love being able to find home decor locally and support the shops downtown. The staff is amazing, and I love walking around in there! Helpful and friendly staff! I was looking for a rug for a particular area of my house. They have a nice selection of Dash and Albert rugs in a variety of sizes. Both Lisa and Scott were friendly right from the start. Lisa understood what I was looking for with great design suggestions to accommodate the look I was going for and the room size. I purchased four area rugs in total for two rooms. Without Lisa eye for design and color, I would never have found the perfect rugs. I am extremely happy with how great the rugs look. I was impressed with how they understood my design needs and was able to guide me. The store has the mountain modern look with an emphasis on the western flare. Nature is the theme. My favorite shop in Bend!! The cozy and welcoming vibe makes me want to stay all day. The items are unique and it looks like a lot of thought goes into the quality and style of every single thing for sale. I've bought gifts for friends as well as for our home and they're always a hit. The staff is friendly and helpful. Last time we were there we bought artwork and the salesperson helping us went out of her way to package it so that it wouldn't get damaged in the car during our road trip home. I've been in and out of this place a few times as I liked the decor and rustic style. However, I recently went into the location during the pandemic when there wasn't a soul in site. Since I have a deviated septum and asthma, masks restrict air to my lungs. I specifically said I had a medical reason for not being able to wear one and gladly used the hand sanitizer. I was asked to leave immediately. So although that is against the law and I could turn them in according to the ADA, I figured I better warn others of their service. I haven't had one other business or restaurant turn me away and therefore will never shop there again as well as tell others about the horrible customer service I received. I would gladly give Lark Mountain Modern five stars for their merchandise. I would then give them another five stars for their staff. What a winning combination! Walking around downtown this past Saturday in the rain and snow. Just doing a bit of window shopping and trying to see a bit of Bend. Second store we went into was Lark and our day was altered. Beautiful merchandise that is unique and well made. Jewelry, home goods, arts and all with the feeling of what Bend is really all about. Before we even made a purchase Shelley made sure we were welcomed and appreciated. After shopping, we casually asked about places to eat. To our amazement she pulled out a list of places they recommend. We took her suggestions the rest of the weekend and they were all spot on! Ended up buying a beautiful painting, a vase, and some napkin rings. Now we have a beautiful reminder of this great town and an even better experience than we expected. I have always loved this store (well, in the 6 years I have lived here). Everything is very high-end in appearance, but not always in price. But sometimes I am just willing to pay more if the item is unique and well made. I never thought I would find modern items to set on our new black kitchen counter. I purchased the circular sand evolving picture (rotate to change), 2 beautiful fans, and a gorgeous woven bowel -- the type of items I wasn't even looking for, but with Lori's help, I could see how they might be the answer. Then I found out (and this is amazing), after taking down your credit card number, they let you take home the items to try. Then you just call back the next day and say yay or neigh (sp?) and they either charge your card or you return the items that day after it has been 24 hours. Even if you don't end up buying something, it's such a fun store to look in. I purchased all 3 items! read more

We visited this store on a Sunday. My husband and I just moved into the area from Seattle and were looking for some cute home decor for our new place. We were not greeted or acknowledged once by the two blonde ladies working there, making our shopping experience pretty disappointing. It was so uncomfortable since there were only about two other customers in the shop. We ended our browsing quick as it was a very unpleasant. I'm pretty bummed since their store has some potential. Cool store but snooty employees. Came in on the day of the eclipse and bought an eclipse shirt as a souvineer since I live out of state. One of the employees with black hair says in a snarky tone, "Got to get that eclipse shirt." Umm, okay? The other employee at the register seemed not very thrilled to be there either. I thought it was just my experience but I see another review that's similar to mine. Reading other reviews, it seems like things have changed some. My bride and I have found the staff bordering on snobby on our last couple visits. Perhaps success has raised their nose some. An elitist attitude isn't great for shops that rely on local business as well as tourists, especially when many items they sell can be found online. Karen your store is really beautiful. I had one day in Bend downtown and stumbled into your store. I spent 1300. In less than an hour. I was considering getting a few more items when I got back home to California however, when I called today to find out the name of the company who makes the ceramics I purchased the gal told me she couldn't tell me who makes the items. Really?! I'm seriously considering sending them back! I have friends in Pronghorn. They loved the gift I purchased for them from your store. However, we may have to live without Lark Mountain. I'm not sure your reason here? I'm not looking to rip you off...not releasing the maker is truly not right to your customers or the company. The ABCDEFG is not what I expected on such nice pieces.
