My first time drinking Dad's Old-Fashioned Blue Cream Soda. It's much healthier than Coke.

On my last day I came to buy Bob Ross Playing Cards for my neighbor and a variant of Dad's Old-Fashioned Root Beer.

Was an amazing candy shop had all sorts of candy like some from Canada some sour candy and a bit for everything I just went there when I visit Oregon was a great visit

We were walking by and noticed the hot chocolate sign in the window. We decided it sounded good. The place is filled with all sorts of candy & gelato as well. Asked an employee if they carried Wacky Wafers and he searched the area but unfortunately no luck. We ordered our hot chocolate but the gelato looked good too. We decided on both. The 2 employees working were amazing. We got our gelato but since there wasn't a sit down area to eat it, we decided to take it back to the hotel. We asked for lids. Unfortunately, the employees were searching for ones. They did locate them. Again, outstanding service by them. The gelato was delicious and the hot chocolate was what we were craving. Rating is more like a 4.5 but I didn't want to give them a 4 so did the 5 star.

I will never forget entering this shop for the very first time. I was instantly thrown back to my youth and with the fabulous assortment of sweet delights and the amazing variety of colors and candies. I just stood there in awe. Reminded me of my favorite shops in Monterey and Carmel all wrapped in one package. So many choices. From milk chocolate to dark chocolate. Chocolate cover everything. Hard candies. Soft candies. Candy on sticks. Candy in many shapes. So many choices. So much candy, so many choices, so little time. The store is so clean too, and the staff very friendly. I know you will love this gem of s candy store.

The Powell's name is synonymous with quality, quantity and books... in Portland. Powell's Sweet Shoppe pays tribute to the name by stocking the finest selection of candy and sweets I've ever seen. Ever. My son had a glow the entire afternoon, just remembering our first visit. "Mom, this place is like heaven to me." We returned the next day and the day after that... To get a true sense of the magic of this place, I'm going to let the founder describe his vision, "What we're selling, really, is memories." Think of the Technicolor dreaminess of Willy Wonka and you'll start to get the picture. There is no chocolate waterfall, but the rest of the fantasy is there. They play the movie (Gene Wilder version) in the back of the store in the middle of a display of movie theatre-sized treats. They have photos and autographs of the cast, golden tickets, a tree full of oversized lollipops and an entire section of Wonka brand candy, including Everlasting Gobstoppers. There are entire sections dedicated to M&Ms, Pez, and a wall of 200+ bulk items that you mix-n-match and pay by the pound. This is where you set you set your child loose (with boundaries, of course!) and watch their eyes bug out of their head. Powell's true strength is the nostalgia items. Everything from candy from your youth that is difficult to find at your corner store to items that perhaps should fade into obscurity, like candy cigarettes. Some of the items from the 60s and 70s are downright comical. This isn't just a sugar fantasy for the kiddos. They also offer 22 varieties of gelato, dozens of truffles, a wall of classic sodas in glass bottles and boutique and higher end chocolates from Oregon's Dagoba brand to one of the best selection of Ritter chocolate bars I've seen outside of Germany. Keep in mind, that you will pay dearly for these hard to find items, so check prices as you shop otherwise you will get a nasty case of sticker shock at the register. If you are looking for cheap candy, stick to generic brands at your local convenience store. This is a franchise with most of their locations in California, so now my kids will keep their eagle eyes open for Powell's on road trips. There was something that triggered a memory from my childhood around every corner. A total nostalgia trip for adults. Everything from vintage lunchboxes to potato guns to Pop Rocks. You can even hold children's birthday parties here where they go on a scavenger hunt for treats. Not as easy as it seems since the cashier said they stock close to 9,000 items in the store. On the back wall, they even have helpful guides like lists of vegan, gluten-free and kosher candy. Even suggestions if you have braces. For years we've been going to Goody's in Bend, but I can't imagine my kids will return after visiting Powell's. We've turned a page.

Talk about nostalgia! This place rocks. It screamed 1950's candy shop with a modern twist. We came here because we were craving gelato and they did not disappoint. Between the three of us, we had 6 different flavors and each one was fantastic. My daughter and I even got to experience the stores great collection of Willy Wonka memorabilia along with the movie being on repeat. Well done Cravins, well done.

Talk about a big kid in a big candy shop! This place has everything you need to get your sugar fix. Any candy that you want they will most likely have: Jelly Belly, M&M dispensers, PEZ (incl. big PEZ dispensers - which I though were only available in Austria!), chocolate truffles, gelato, - I can't even list all the candy they have. The pictures don't even do it justice. I did get some really good gelato with a nice little chocolate/cookie straw thingy. Be aware that this place is full of kids and parents; parental units keeping an updated tally of how much of their allowance they have left to spend on sweet, sweet candy.

How was there only one vegan review for this amazing cheesecake?…read more I have to admit, I was a little skeptical when my husband read me that lone vegan review, but we walked out the hotel door anyway. Then I was skeptical again when I saw that all the vegan options were also gluten free. That's me throwing shade at gluten free folks. Kidding. I probably should be GF too. Anyway, YES. Fantastic cheesecake. Please give it a try. The peanut butter cup did not disappoint. We also had a drink next door, so no rush back to feast on the cheesecake. (I would post a picture, but the only one I took was for my vegan friends and taken from the bathtub. I also highly recommend eating it in a very hot bathtub, since it comes nearly frozen!)

They have quite a list of flavors and I wanted to try a few but they are $10/slice and I don't think 2 slices for $20 is worth it. That being said, the cheesecake is very yummy. I am impatient so I waited about 10 and it was a bit firm but definitely full of flavor! Personally this feels like an every once in a while treat because of the price. Definitely worth trying at least once!

A suggestion maybe would be create a small section outside. that's a no kid table for sunshine and drinking too. ;) it looks like they're making good use of their space. I noticed many changes since the last visit. Looks like they have a party room you could rent, lots of fun well designed swag for purchase, ect. As I write this review I see that it is coming up as an updated review as opposed to a new one…read more Back in 2017 for this entry this review was for Immersion Brewing but now my update is for UPP Liquids. I am not sure if it was a name change this brewery went through or but I suspect so. Because if this was a brand new brewery I imagine it would have it's own Yelp entry. But who can say for sure... maybe it was transitional activity that reached to what my review currently pertains to which is UPP Liquids. This is still a brewery and it's a good one. So I am bumping up a star here as I really enjoyed the beer I had by UPP Liquids. The name of the beer was called Pinball Wizard which is an Oatmeal Stout. I do like these kinds of stouts very much as I like the oatmeal that is at play here and what it contributes to the flavor profile. For Pinball izard flavor features in this beer is roastiness, maltiness, a hint of smokiness and a coffee flavor. This hit the spot in every way and it was a joy to drink. Even though these beers are great to have on cold, rainy day the day we had it was a bit more pleasant and still. But despite that it didn't ruin the atmosphere as to when to have this beer at all. It was such an enjoyable beer I rated it quite highly on Untappd which is my beer rater app for each individual beer that I try. So yes, trying out UPP for the first time was quite a positive impression.

It's a walk in sit down spot - you place your order at the counter and they give you a number - decent size for busy food times - so usually plenty of seating. My wife got the traditional breakfast - she loved the local links and flaky biscuit - I think it was peach marmalade - not sure, but it was LEGIT. I got the pozole roja (I think that's the menu name) and - yo, it was the best pozole I've had. The ingredients were plenty, the chicken was tender and flavorful, they put the radishes, cilantro and cabbage on the side for you to add so it's not soggy. Sourdough was so good to dip - mouth is watering writing this. Service th morning we were headed out at 7amish was great also - wife got coffee cake (warmed in their brick oven) and I got two citrus muffins and a sourdough cinnamon roll for later - all were scrumptious and delightful. I would got a half dozen muffins if I knew they were that good before. People were kind and the service is quick. We ate there these two time on $52 dollars - both to-go orders. We will absolutely be back - every time we are near bend, I'll be stopping for pozole for sure! Well done, Jacksons Corner, well done!
