A quaint bakery in a cute town with a variety of treats and homemade bread. I stopped for a treat for my road trip home after having stayed in Sisters for a couple nights. Upon entering there is a counter filled with savory scones, croissants, cookies, and cinnamon rolls to name a few. I don't know everything they had because nothing was marked, but they had a nice variety. A small area had bread for sale including sourdough. There was a small area with seating on the side. I chose an unfrosted cinnamon roll, and my husband chose a chocolate glazed donut. The cinnamon roll was soft and with just the right amount of sweetness. I would have liked a small amount of frosting drizzle but they only had the other option of a heavily frosted cream cheese frosting. It still was so good! My husband's donut was very good, he said. I now wish I had bought a scone or something else to try. Alas I will have to come visit Sisters again, as I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. read more

I was highly impressed with the appearance of the berry filled puff pastry. But then after I purchased it ($6) I was highly disappointed. It was so overdone that the puff pastry was totally dried out and flavorless. It crumbled when I bit into it and the usual buttery flavor was gone by being too overcooked. read more

Stopped by this cute, quaint town on the way to Suttle Lake for a pre-hike pastry. Went more for the savory route a scone and focaccia bread. Both were extremely moist and delicious. To balance off the savory, we got a cinnamon roll. Personally I liked how it wasn't too sweet and didn't have too much frosting. There's a reason this legendary little bakery is a must-visit with a long line out the door pretty much every day. It's just that good. We'd missed getting the chance to check them out on our last visit, so when we were here this summer for the quilt show, I knew we had to stop in. We made a plan to arrive early, and it worked - there was barely a line when we got there just after they opened! We grabbed a croissant, a scone, and (of course) some donuts, along with a couple of lattes, and grabbed the last table in the back of their not-spacious dining area. It was fun to watch the hustle and bustle of the bakery employees as we munched on all the deliciousness. This place is a well-oiled machine, with staff busy at the counters and in the open bakery area where you can watch them master the art of all things baked. Everyone was incredibly friendly, and the selection of yumminess was over-the-top. We really wanted to grab a loaf of their famous, homemade sourdough to take back to the RV. Arrived to the bakery around 9:30am and there was a long line already. No problem! This place must be worth the hype! The lined moved along quickly and there seemed to be plenty of staff to help customers but it felt like a airport security line. I hadn't even had a chance to look at the baked goods (Because the line of people blocks your view of the items in the display cases) and the worker is shouting "I can help who is next!" I felt rushed to make a decision without fully seeing the products. I can appreciate the staff trying to be efficient but it almost felt like they just wanted to get you served and out the door ASAP and on to the next customer! We choose an apple fritter, a square berry filled pastry, a cinnamon rool and a custard filled chocolate covered donut. We got to the end of the counter and paid ($24 included the machine prompted tip), took our goodies back to our room and snapped a photo thinking I would be coming here to leave a wonderful review. BUT....the dissapointment set in quickly. The square pastry was so DRY that it crumbled with every bit I took and tasted like it was two days old. I couldn't finish it. Same with the cinnamon roll - SO DRY! Also tasting like it was TWO DAYS OLD. The apple fritter and the chocolate covered donut were fine but not worth the hype and the cost. For $24 I expected better quality. I would not go back. read more

I've been coming to this bakery for over 20 years whenever I've been in town. I recently moved here and was shocked by the poor service I received today. No doubt this place has excellent pastries. However, that excellence is no excuse for poor service. Today, at 1:27 pm I walked into an empty store with two young workers behind counter. One male and one female. Neither welcomed me into store. Neither greeted me. The female behind the register immediately ducked down behind counter and began filling up muffin tins. I sat there for a minute at least expecting her to tell me I'll be right with you or to delegate help from her male co-worker. Nope. No such luck. The young man, seeing I was not being helped after some time decides to step in to help. I guess better late than never when the store is empty. Anyways, the young man has no social graces to put it mildly. Like, hey how's your day? Or maybe even hi, how can I help. No, just a blank stare and looking me up and down like a piece of meat. Anyways, I asked about whether there were any chicken pot pies as there was a sign in window saying I should ask if interested. No we don't have any was the reply. Basically, they wouldn't have any until Friday and this is Tuesday. Ok. I can live with that. What I can't tolerate is being a loser in service. As far as I'm concerned this bakery hired two losers based on their actions. Definitely not winners in the world of customer service. They might be good people even but actions speak louder than words. read more

I live in California and am lucky enough to have a sister that lives in Sisters. So am able to have her mail me the delicious goodies from this terrific bakery. I have yet to find a bakery that beats their scones. They are exceptional, moist on the inside and so flavorful. And the bear claws are to die for. Its hard to decide what to get while looking at all the baked goods they offer. If there was a 10 rating offered I'd give them a 15+. read more

I looked online for a menu and price list for this bakery before I went over there a few days ago. I stood in line and when I got to the front the service was very hurried and the person that waited on me wasn't in any mood to answer my questions. Ok... understand that they are busy. I chose a scone, a donut, a bag of hamburger buns and a take-and-bake frozen pie. I was sent down to the place at the counter where payment is made. The charge was for $60.25 and was also rushed thru that process, so I just got out of there with my purchases. Once home, I thought that there had been a mistake because when I added up the items based on the menu I found online, my bill should have been around $35.00. I phoned yesterday to let them know that I thought there was a mistake -- but no. They told me that the bag of rolls were $11.50 and the pie was $33!!! Wha? The price online that was posted was $20 for the pie. So... I guess good for them that they can get away with that, but I doubt I'll be back. Just sayin'. read more

Wow!! This apple fritter is over the top good!! Actual slices of apples, these are still moist and the fritter is not burnt. This is a small shop with a decent selection of treats. The line is long but it does move fast. They are very organized here and probably have to be due to the amount of tourism coming through. The staff here are quick on their feet and very friendly. We just stopped in for a little treat as we are passing through, but we are apparently just going to park it here for a bit and eat! read more

This was one of the best stops on our Oregon trip. This little bakery has been in business since 1981 and really delivers on the most tasty baked goods. The interior is very small but warm and friendly. I heard from a couple of locals in Bend, Oregon that we needed to stop here to try the Marionberry Scones. I have never been a huge fan of scones, but this one changed my mind. When we arrived it was late morning and we got lucky to purchase the last two scones. YAY! These scones were as good as were told. The flavor of the scone just erupted with fresh Marion berries. I wish there would have been a couple more of these scones as I would have loved to purchase more. Our visit here was pleasant and flavorful. read more

Sisters Bakery is a staple stop for me anytime I visit the area. I havent been in 4 years but it is still the same cute little bakery with friendly staff and a line full of people waiting for delicious treats. They have a small section of merch, teas, jams and coffee. They also have the pastry counter and a large display counter, and their offerings are ever changing. I always buy the cheddar jalapeno bread. Out favorite used to be their 2 foot long cheese breadsticks, unfortunately they stopped producing those about 10 years ago. We got a marion berry coffee cake, their large apple fritter, a Marion berry scone, bear claw, ham & cheese crissont, rice crispy treats, and some butter cookies. I always pick up a jar of the Marion berry jam. They have a small seating section down the side of the bakery, they also serve coffee, tea and have some bottle beverages for purchase. I reccomend getting there early, once they are out they are out. read more

We buy your bread all the time, however this was the first time at the actual store front. Ethan W. may be the manager but my goodness is he RUDE!! God for bid you want to view the items to make a decision.... Nope. You better know what you want as you approach him and you better not take a second to think about it. The only sad part of this review is that I packed a small backpack that doesn't have enough room to stuff it full of treasures from Sisters Bakery. This place is BUSTLING and rightly so. During my 30 minute visit, there was a nonstop flow of customers at 2pm on a Sunday. The staff is incredibly friendly and warm. It felt like you could become their friends/ a regular in a heartbeat. I opted for a tea and key lime bar. Their winter menu had a fun "island spin@ featuring flavors like guava cream cheese, spam, key lime, etc. Needless to say, it took everything in me not to order more items. The service here is fast and efficient! We both got the pecan sticky buns. They were pretty big and we could have easily split one. The caramel is thick and does get a little hard to chew if you don't eat it right away. But overall they were good! read more

Wow...great experience at the Sisters Bakery last week. We were in town for the concert in Bend, and that day I had received an email stating that Sisters Bakery served one of the best Marionberry Pies in the state. But we were there 1/2 hour before they closed, and they were out of it. But...the server at the counter was so nice and said that if we could wait about two minutes, some fresh Marionberry scones were coming out of the oven. Simply incredible. Very light and full of marionberries. The people at the counter were also so nice and engaging. I will definitely be back on other trips to the are. read more

Ok I loved everything I ate from here and want to come back for more next time I roll through town, however one thing was pretty off-putting. Nothing is priced, there is no menu and no prices, the line is long so it feels like they are capitalizing on the pressure of the people behind you to get a much of your money as possible. This would have been slightly more tolerable if I was at least given my receipt but as I tried to type my phone number in to get a digital version the girl cleared it and walked away. We ended up paying over 20 dollars for a small drip coffee, two croissants and an apple fritter. Being the pastry loving person that I am I still happily sipped my coffee and ate my treats but my husband was very put off by that all. That said I love the way they do the chocolate detail on the chocolate croissant and the ham and cheese croissant has a delicious seasoning added to it that made it unique. The apple fritter was huge and yummy! Overall I'd probably come back but maybe by myself and at the end of the day when there's no line and I can take my time lol. read more

The staff was friendly and smiling, and the bakery smelled wonderful inside. I purchased a marionberry scone and a lemon bar. The case had a big stack of large scones, looking to be packed with berries. My scone was very small, and if it had three berries, I would be surprised. The flavor was good, other than not tasting much berry. The lemon bar also tasted good, but was much smaller than most of the bars on the plate, and it had a darker section on one side that appeared overbaked. Both items were packaged so that I couldn't see what I had until I left and got back to my car. For a cost of $11, I was fairly disappointed with what I received. I won't say that I wouldn't go back, but I will indicate my item selection, in the future, rather than assuming they will always choose the best item available on the tray. read more

This is our must stop for our central Oregon adventures! Any and everything we have gotten from this Bakery is a best of the best and must have again! Where to begin? The donuts are huge and original with their own special kiss to all the flavors of an ordinary donut, Maple, Chocolate, sugar.. it doesn't matter they are all spectacular. If you're not wanting too sweet then step up to the muffins again not the ordinary blueberry muffin but just something extra special. If sweet isn't your thing then step it up once more to the savory pastries. But if you're not a pastry person it's ok, there are cookies, brownies, cinnamon rolls and pies. But to go all the way, you have to get a loaf of the jalapeño bread, but you better be an early bird because the bread is gone quick. Also make sure and dress for the weather because you will be waiting in a line outdoor. The staff is quick and friendly and keep the line moving. It's a bit more pricey than you can get from the grocery store bakery but worth every penny! read more

My wife and I got married in Sisters in July of 2025 and wanted to keep the majority of our vendors local to the area. We tested other bakeries, one of which was high end and much more expensive but we ultimately went with Sisters Bakery. Not only are they reasonably priced, but their staff, communication style, and general service were top-notch. The cake was exactly what we wanted, looked flawless, and tasted divine. The manager, Maggie Hall, both facilitated our tasting, and delivered the cake to our venue the day of. Every request was followed to the T including extra boxes so we could take home any remaining cake. If you didn't guess by now, there was no cake left for us to take home. People raved about our cake! We could not have done it without Sisters Bakery. So it is without any reservation that I rate them five stars and if I could, I would rate them more. read more
