I needed a few things including some toiletries for travel and shopping at a Dollar Tree is perfect for the small sizes. Being from the east coast where we have a sales tax, it was great not having to pay that tax and yet everything was still $1.25 The store was well stocked and I did find everything I needed. I also thought it was great that a local nursing/retirement home bussed in some of their residents to do some economical shopping. Service was quick and friendly. read more

Typically happy with this dollar tree, but I showed up 15 minutes after they opened and the employees have not opened the door yet. I can see that the store is open and ready, but keeping the doors locked is pretty ridiculous. I never write reviews, but I'm tired of lazy employees not wanting to do their jobs. read more

Pretty upset with bathe dollar tree closing five minutes prior the stated closing time or possibly more than five minutes but that's when I showed up and the door was locked but people were still inside shopping. !! When I shop, I start here. Then Walmart or grocery outlet, then the actually other grocery stores. So many things you can find here before you pay more somewhere else. Silicone stirring spoons are probably my favorite thing. Otherwise it's the coconut oils and what not that actually don't have the extra stuff in it you don't want. Always check labels but you'd be surprised what kind of single ingredient stuff you can find here. Anyway, yes this is my favorite store. read more

Unfortunately, I had a very upsetting experience with my children at this dollar store this morning with our cashier. Mary(Cashier) was ringing up our decorations for my sons birthday while myself, my twin 6 year olds and 11 year old son stood in line. When she was finished ringing up my 12 items, 1 apologized that I had change ($2 in cash, $6 in quarters and the rest in dimes with a a few nickels), that I had forgotten my wallet and lived on the opposite side of town so had to use mostly charge. She said nothing but immediately plopped a closed sign on her line(there was no one else in the store at that time- 9:15am). I asked if it might be helpful if I counted it out in a few stacks and she said, "no". I said ok, thank you so much. She counted out the change and said she counted $11.95. I then apologized and asked my oldest to run out and grab .05 more. She said nothing this whole time- clearly annoyed. I was embarrassed of course but was kind, regardless and thanked her again and apologized. He came back in the store, change in-hand and she walked away and said, "have a good day" under her breath. I said, "Oh, here is the rest". She responded, "I don't need it", with her back turned to me. Of course I insisted I just go ahead and pay for what I purchased, especially since she had said nothing before my son had come in with the money and I was standing with it in hand. So, I set the 5 cents on the counter. She turned around, marched up to her counter and scooped up the change and threw it in the trash right next to me. I was shocked. It was incredibly disrespectful to throw my money in the garbage but also very hurtful. I was so kind to her- being in the service industry my whole life I understand the impact a little kindness can have on someone's day. I looked at her and said, "I can't believe you just did that". In disbelief and really just hoping she'd apologize. Instead, she doubled down saying, I can't have change on my counter. I said I was so disappointed that she just behaved that way in front of my children. I asked to speak to the manager and she just pointed down an isle. I asked her to please call her up since we were all holding the things we purchased and did not want to walk through the store with it. Ultimately, it was the assistant manager. She spoke with me outside- away from the cashier who attempted to follow but was instructed to stay inside. The assistant manager, Jennifer, was very kind and understanding. At this point, I was upset, nearly in tears. It was surprising to me but being treated like my money is trash translates to me and my children being treated the same. I did request to have changes made- my main concern is that customer service is a care but more importantly that she does not harm someone else with that kind of treatment. We never know what someone else is going through. Life is hard enough as it is without being hurtful to others. I look forward to speaking with Stephanie, the general manager and ensuring customers will not be treated in this manner again. read more

Generally, I don't find anything at this Dollar Tree that I wouldn't find elsewhere, though on occasion I've found inexpensive shades or good deals on a grocery item or two. I did make the mistake of needing to use the bathroom before having to store last night's tacos in the seat of my pants. Unlike other Dollar Trees, you must request a key to uses the "facilités." Once requested, I hoped that the opening of those locked and hallowed doors would be like grasping the Legend of Zelda's master sword for the first time. But alas, my fevered bliss was quickly dashed, much like seeing the WiiU for the very first time. Unfortunately, the bathroom looked like it was purchased second-hand from a Mississippi gas station, just ripped out and plopped in. May have been. Real estate's much less expensive down there. Moreover, I was surprised too by the attendant's overall attitude about bequeathing said key. Thankfully, she was quick about it. My subsequent experiences with the staff have been similar: not rude but not welcome. Still, it's a Dollar Tree not the Ritz Carlton, and more often than not, what I expect to find is on the shelf and still a dollar. read more

Oh Dollar Tree, every time I visit I have a short list of items to grab, and I walk out with two bags full and I'm always surprised when the bill is only like $11. This location looks and feels like every other Dollar Tree anywhere - a little dusty and dingy, but here the customer service and check-out staff are really wonderful. My go-to items to pick up are random holiday decorations, gift wrap and bags, greeting cards, and personal hygiene items (only if their a reputable brand). For some reason I can't bring myself to purchase any food here, it just feels wrong. I did recently find out that they will only fill mylar balloons there, not latex. I have been to this Dollar Tree on S 97 3 times recently. It is a disaster! Most of the shelves are empty, there are piles of boxes in every aisle waiting to be unpacked. The store is dirty and so messy. Who is managing this store, no one? It's really not worth going too because you won't find what you want without unpacking their boxes your self. I believe the Dollar Tree on the north end of Bend is much better, go there! read more

The store manager Gail helped me try to track down multiple greeting cards of a card that I wanted for my New Years greetings. She went above and beyond in helping me find as many as we could by contacting the distributor and calling me back when she found the answer. Such incredible customer service from a Dollar Tree.
