The beer batter is very black pepper forward, so if you like black pepper, you'll like this. The cocktail sauce for the shrimp has the right amount of horseradish, and the coleslaw was creamy and cooling, and also very black peppery. I like a little spike of vinegar in mine, so I added some of the malt vinegar provided with my order. Yummy. Fries are good too. Service was great. We eaten at Wild Catch for years because they have the best deep fried shrimp. We were disappointed on our latest trip there a couple of days ago. First they've gotten exorbitantly expensive and now charge you their total banking fee for credit card purchases. We usually like their Cole slaw but this time it had way too mayo in it and it was flavorless. They charge a lot for sauces that they don't fill to the top and I've always loved their tartar sauce but it wasn't very good this time and had too much dill in it. Between the price and declining equally we may have to search for alternatives. We can't afford with tip almost $25 lunches. read more

This place is serving up fabulous fish-n-chips! The batter was incredibly thin and crunchy. The fish pieces were cooked to perfection...glistening white chunks of cod. I've eaten lunch at Wild Catch 4-5 times, both in Redmond and Prineville. The fish, shrimp and fries while pricey are always good. However, yesterday in Prineville I ordered the calamari appetizer which cost $17 bucks, which is about what you pay in a nice sit down restaurant, and was disappointed that almost half of the order was fried banana peppers instead of calamari. Kinda felt like a bait and switch, for that kinda money I expected seafood, not 50 cents of fried banana peppers to fill the basket to look like you're getting more calamari than you really are. While the quality is good, seems like every time I visit Wild Catch the price has gone up and the quantity has gone down. read more

Wait, let me say that differently. The fish is good and the batter is good but the portion you get for the price is ridiculous! Two pieces of fish, probably 1-1/2 inches long. I'd say total of the two pieces is less than the size of a deck of cards. 2 ounces maybe??? Not sure but be prepared to get a burger someplace after you drop over 20.00 ( including a tip) on this. Pretty solid experience. This food truck is located at Wild Ride Brewing. We ordered the korean wings and fish sliders. Both were pretty solid. I had the best shrimp and French frys I have ever eaten in my life today. The batter on the shrimp was light and crispy and didn't overpower the flavor of the beautiful shrimp for the first time. It was busy so there was a bit of a wait. Had the three piece fish and chips, they were excellent, chips were crisp and fish had a light crisp coating, was not oily and was well cooked and delicious. I prefer fillets, but the chunks of fish were well still quite nice. The service was top notch and I appreciated the cole slaw side, it was the exact way I like it.
