Ineptitude at its finest. My doctor sent two prescriptions first thing this morning (around 9:30…read moream). It's 3:06 pm and they STILL don't have one of them ready. They claim they never received it from the doctor. I drove back to the doctor's office and got a hard copy only to have the doctor show me the confirmation that BOTH were sent this morning. I came back to Sisters Drug and handed the copy directly to them. After waiting in line yet again, the lady behind the counter tells me "they still haven't sent it in." Ummm...I handed it directly to you a few minutes ago!! For the love of Pete?! I know they're busy with a lot going on but how inept are they? You don't remember me handing up a piece of paper literally moments ago?! I asked if they could please rush it as I was supposed to start taking them this morning. I was told it would be at least 30+ minutes. I asked to speak with the pharmacist, a manager, someone who could actually assist me. The pharmacist comes to the counter and says he can put it to the front of the line & the receptionist says it already is. I ask, "the front of the line is still going to be 30+ minutes?" What a joke of an organization. If I had any other choice I'd run there now. Unfortunately, I don't have the means to drive to Redmond or Bend. SISTERS DRUG IS SUBPAR AT BEST. I'd give ZERO stars if I could.

Clearly they don't have the resources nowadays to comment on mean reviews or to modernize their computer system. I am so grateful that they are still in business if only a shadow of what they once were. They are the only pharmacy left in town and they TRY. I have driven the 20 miles to the next closest pharmacy and had the same experience there that Andie C had in Sisters, except that I was left with the choice of driving 40 miles home and back or hanging out in another town with nothing to do but wait for the pharmacists to catch up.

It doesn't take three days to go through, but the quality of used books here is great. The place is just so neat, so clean so well organized that you can't go wrong. The quality of the used books is also top notch. They appear to buy only the best so they can offer the best. I also must say that the prices are not what you would expect from that type of quality. They are very comparable to the other used bookstores that I have reviewed and I have never put a book back on the shelf because I thought it was too high priced. The staff here is 10 stars and very helpful. The most helpful I have met at any bookstore ever. Lonesome carries a great amount of antique and collectible books also, for the really deep treasure hunter. I enjoy stopping here every time I travel through Sisters Oregon. Every time we visit Sisters, we have to visit Paulina Springs Books at least once or twice. Since…read moreour last visit, it looks like they either expanded or repurposed part of the store. There's now a huge space with tables, chairs, and games. It's an open invitation to the community to come in, relax, and have a little fun. Another thing I love about this bookstore is that staff members handwrite notes about books they enjoy and attach them to the books. It's a thoughtful touch that helps connect the right readers with the right books. Near the checkout, I also noticed a sign reminding dog owners about the dangers of hot asphalt. It's a simple reminder, but it speaks to the community-minded spirit that seems to be woven throughout the store. Will we be back? Of course. They've got sections of every category, like children's, young adult, etc. with the genres clearly labeled. I liked how they had everything organized. They had a section of used books as well, and a small children's play area. In addition to books, they sell board games and playing cards. We bought a deck of cards and a small book for my daughter.
