The Sunriver Country Store, tucked right inside Sunriver Resort, is a fantastic and convenient stop for just about anything you might need. The store isn't massive, but what it lacks in size it makes up for with a well-curated selection. They carry a great variety of wines and craft beers, a really nice deli, and plenty of souvenirs that capture the spirit of the area. The atmosphere inside is warm and pleasant, and the staff are consistently kind and helpful. It's the kind of place where you can quickly grab supplies without feeling rushed. What I appreciate most is the convenience everything you might need is right there, which saves you from having to drive miles down the road. What a lovely country store. We arrived at our Airbnb and searched online for the closest groceries. This was it. I'd say it has most everything you'd need. The pricing is definitely too high though. They know there's nothing else near and take advantage of that fact. We only bought a few provisions to get us through until we pass by a normal folks store. While this is a nice, clean store with friendly employees, my goodness, the prices here are absolutely outrageous! Oreos were over $8, butter over $7, hotdogs over $8, etc. I recommend shopping at Trader Joe's in Bend before coming to Sunriver. These are convenience store prices, folks. This is a small but mighty grocery store. It doesn't have everything that I need, but it has most of what I need. There's definitely enough to make decent meals. There's a good selection of food, toiletry, and cleaning items. I also love that they sell the newspaper, so I go there every morning to get it. I am glad that they have expanded their hours again, post-pandemic. The people who work here are really friendly, and I am very impressed that the lines don't get too long. read more

Meet the store manager tonight. Just a rude human being. I'm buying liquor and they card my 22 year old son even though he's not buying any alcohol. He also left his wallet in our hotel room. So we comply and don't buy any liquor even though it makes zero sense. Then we go into normal check out line to buy a bottle of wine and cold medicine for my son and he walks up and tells me we can't purchase anything in the store. First time for me losing my mind in any store. Oregon makes drugs and looting legal but I cannot buy liquor with my child. Common sense isn't common. read more

They're really short staffed and incredibly crowded, they try to have a mask mandate but there are people sneezing in the store with masks down - not the store's fault but would be nice if they had someone who could pay more attention but again, they're short staffed. The workers are RUDE. I walk in to buy a bottle of Jack Daniels my 20 year old brother is walking through the store to get olive oil. He brings it to me at the cash register at the liquor area (because we aren't from here) and they lady KICKS US OUT because I'm "buying alcohol" for my brother????? Lately service has been lacking. Despite the state law about bags not going into effect until January 2020, some of the cashiers are charging for each bag, paper AND plastic. Some of the cashiers act as though I'm an inconvenience by shopping there, even though I usually say very little besides 'hi'. A quick stop in the big city of Sunriver for a few essentials. This is a well equipped store with many of the essentials. A great deal of selection. We went visiting some folks who were staying in a rental at Sunriver and there was a need for the dinner extras that we had forgotten. This place had a little of everything and reminded me of a New Seasons in Portland. In fairness this is an IGA so it met those standards as well. It doesn't hurt that this is also about the only show in town. I'll be back the next time we run out of the last minute dinner essential. Oh, yeah and they have beer there too. read more

I give the Sunriver Country Store five stars basically for existing, and containing a full-service, life-saving hot & cold deli. My husband and I had spent the morning at the nearby Newberry Volcanic monument and suddenly realized we were starving. Rather than drive all the way back to Bend I suggested we just continue to Sunriver and make due. As were were quite hangry, we wanted something affordable, and to avoid the time required of a sit-down restaurant (the brewery next door was hopping; we overheard a 15 minute minute wait for a table - on a Monday morning!). There are no real fast food options in Sunriver, so we just went into the grocery store and it worked out great. We ordered wrap sandwiches for about $6 each, which were prepared by the deli staff (we did experience a small wait as their was only one deli staffer putting these together on-order). They were huge, leaving us an afternoon snack! I had to get my taller husband to select the cheapest bottle of water for me, as it was shelved so high as to be nearly out of sight. And then we just walked outside and ate at one of the many shaded tables available in the village. So basically it's great if you're in a situation like ours - I can't speak to the overall variety and pricing as I'm clearly not a local dependent on its selection on a regular basis. read more

Spent the afternoon walking around Sunriver Village and decided to stop in the store to check out their prices. A very nice small grocery with a deli and a attached liquor store. I was surprised by the huge selection they offered in the liquor store. They have a decent sized produce section as well, with items that were very fresh. We were surprised to see that the prices were not that much higher than the groceries in Bend. They also have a varied range of items, such as a large selection of cheeses, etc. Lots of items for snacks/appetizers. They are open 365 days a year. This place is in business to service the wealthy folks who own properties here and vacationers. It's just a large convenience store to grab what you forgot to bring from home. Be prepared to pay dearly for that convenience. Pretty decent yuppified selection of stuff. The working class locals save up needs until a trip to Bend is justified. $4 ice cream is $6 here etc etc. good to have in a pinch for us locals, but the pinch hurts. read more

My fiancé and I stayed in Sunriver for a week long vacation. This is the only grocery store in town. The prices are outrageous! A gallon of orange juice is $10. The employees aren't very friendly either. I would avoid going shopping on the weekends if possible. We went on a Friday evening and it was packed. We went back on a Tuesday late morning and no one was there. If you have the time I recommend driving to Bend. They have a lot more stores and the prices are a lot lower. read more

I love shopping here and I'm often surprised at the variety they are able to carry for a tiny grocer in a small community 18 miles from a city. I always find quality items here, a full liquor store and amazing wine selection. Yes, the prices are higher than Bend but I don't understand the whiners giving a low star rating for the higher prices. drive 30 minutes one way to Safeway or Albertsons if your goal when being on vacation in a gorgeous resort town is cheap groceries. How do people think these small businesses in isolated resort communities survive? This store likely struggles to stay afloat with its primarily seasonal residents and lack of workforce at this point, due to Covid. What is up with people complaining about rude staff? I have never had a single staff person here react rudely to me, in fact - the opposite, super helpful and friendly even though the workforce is severely diminished due to Covid. I've been shopping here over 15 years and have had nothing but good experiences. Literally not a single bad experience. I can call ahead and ask if they have roasted chickens left, if they don't they'll roast me one and hold it. They will bend over backward to serve their clientele. read more

Five stars, with a caveat. First, the good stuff. The folks that run this place have figured out how to cram a huge variety of stuff into a relatively small space. The produce is fresh, the meat is top notch, and I was able to quickly and easily find everything I needed for three meals. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was overall very impressed with this place. The caveat: you're going to pay for this wonderfulness. The prices tended to be 20%-50% higher than what I'm used to seeing in a chain supermarket in Bend or Portland. However, it's likely the reason you're going here is that you're staying in or around Sunriver. I was. I was willing to trade some price for convenience. Overall, you probably should, too. read more

I'm amazed at the amount of goodness they've packed into this relatively tiny grocery store. We were lacking for nothing on any of our supply trips here. If we didn't find the exact products we purchase in Florida, we found acceptable substitutes every time and of course the produce was top-notch. Try to go during off hours, otherwise prepare to join the grocery cart derby and have your shopping trip take extra long. But unless you want to drive into Bend, give this place a try...we didn't bother with anything else during our week stay, feeding 4 families. read more

Currently sitting outside of this establishment writing this. If I could give this establishment 0 stars I would. We just walked in at 6:55pm (5 min before they closed) to grab 1 item and was absolutely berated by one of the employees (I wish I got her name but everyone there I'm sure knows who we're referring too). She told us to "get out" as she wanted to "get home to her kids too". We continued to grab our one item as she stormed around the store yelling at everyone else in there (everyone looking around at each other like "what is happening right no") then went to the front of the store to complain to a coworker at the front doors as pointed at us and kept motioning at how angry she was. I understand everyone has their bad days but someone who treats customers in this way is absolutely unacceptable and nothing but destructive to a business. Needless to say we will never support this kind of customer service and will not be back. read more

We love the store it's super convenient and it's even open on the holidays for a few hours to let you get last minute things. It's a little more expensive than if you drive into band but they have everything including a large selection of alcohol, food, even some sporting his gear. All the clerks are very friendly and helpful the meat and the producer terrific. Overall we try to always make at least one stop hear all that we usually end up going there several times. I highly suggest using the store for groceries and last minute items. During the Christmas season they even have Christmas trees.. read more
