Pick up your mail, fill your tank and do some shopping all at the Sunriver Marketplace. This place fulfilled 2 of those needs during our family vacation in Sunriver. In need of some basic items (chips, candles, bread, ice cream, lime and even CBD water) we popped in and found everything on our list. Prices are higher but service is great. Selection is limited but again, the market will meet your basic needs. As a bonus we were able to fill our gas tanks as they have a Shell Station in front of the market. I would imagine most travel to Bend to do their major shopping but with gas prices as they are, this place will meet all your basic needs and is just a short distance to most of the vacation homes. I like this place and prefer it to the more crowed Sunriver Country Store in the Village at Sunriver, even though I strongly suspect they're both run the by same outfit -- this one's a little smaller, a little nicer, and a little less crowded. I even like the gas station better the Shell near the Village -- so come here, go shopping an get gas. Look, it's Sunriver so this isn't about value. It is however about selection and they have a great range of products for a pretty small store, all pretty high quality based on my experiences thus far. So if you're closer to the Country Store, I'd probably go there, but if you're 50/50, I'd definitely come here. One trick is to come back to Sunriver via Cottonwood, stop here, get gas and food, and then take your groceries home. I particularly like the local sausage selection they have. read more

Pleasant surprise in all the fresh produce and specialty offerings. We weren't sure we could find vegan ice cream here and were prepared to drive into Bend because gotta have ice cream. This place is a hop, skip, and a jump to our friends vacation rental. I love how close it is because I don't need to drive the car over, and it is a nice little walk through the path. The price of food is really not too bad considering you are in the middle of no where. The quality of the meat, and produce have been really good. So far I have not packed food for our trips, besides a few drinks, and a few snacks because I figured I could shop here. They always seem to have what we need, or want plus some other cool sauce, or spice that my local store may not have. The food in the deli is not bad either. I have ordered a sandwich, and it was decent from what I recall. I don't remember what else I had from there, but I do remember thinking the food wasn't bad, and that I would return if I needed to. Gayle and I were on the way back from Pasco WA on a fine Tuesday. We had already gassed up at Biggs Junction (I-84 and US 97) and were in good shape tank-wise as we passed Bend. However, since we planned to stop at Crater Lake on our way to Klamath Falls, I figured that a proactive stop at a service station was in order. Plus I figured that this was the Sunriver Resort area, there might be a good lunch opportunity. And if we had more time, maybe a stop at Lava Butte and a closer look at the resort map would have been in order. We found a Shell station next a somewhat tattered at the edges grocery store. Their deli and associated cafe offerings were unappealing, so we settled for some snacks to continue our journey. The expanded wine and beer selection were certainly indicative of a vacation area, but the rest of the store had me wondering where the other places were located that people in this area go. On the service station side, my idea to full up then turned out to be a very good idea as we were later being amazed as we drove the Rim Road of Crater Lake. But as long we have to put up with the antiquated ban against self-serve gasoline, would it be too much to ask them to clean my windshield? read more

If you're stationed in Sunriver for any period of time, this marketplace is the most convenient of options for your food, beverage and gas needs. It's a scaled-down version of your average grocery store with a few little surprises tucked inside, such as a liquor store. While those thinking ahead may stock up in Bend before checking in to your vacation home/rental, this is a solid backup for whatever you may have forgotten. Or if you procrastinate, you can find pretty much everything here, with the understanding that the size limits overall selection. It's by no means just a convenience store, but instead a full-service grocery. It's just on the smaller side. However it beats the hell out of the 40 minute round trip in to Bend to stock up. Especially since you can ride your cruiser over from anywhere in the SR complex and get yer goods. While I trend toward more natural, organic selections in my normal course of shopping (so if I lived in SR full time, this wouldn't be my normal haunt), the products here are on average better than Safeway, so that's good. Ill mannered and overpriced. I was shocked at prices that were easily double what a normal store charges, so I limited my purchases to enough to cover dinner and breakfast the next day. Frozen hash browns, bacon, eggs, milk, a loaf of bread, some chips and salsa, three crappy frozen pizzas, NINETY FOUR BUCKS!!! The loaf of bread was priced at two dollars on the shelf, but I was charged $3.50. When I told the cashier, she treated me like I was an idiot trying to rip her off, then proceeded to be rude for the remainder of the transaction. Avoid this place like the plague. read more

Just got back from Sunriver and thought I'd give a shoutout to this Market. First of all, the parking is by far superior to the market in the village, and you don't have to deal with as many bike riders and pedestrians who seem to forget what parking lots are for - cars! The shelves are well stocked with everything you'd need in a full service grocery and more! Conveniently located inside the Marketplace is an OLCC liquor store as well, and as a result, right around the corner in the grocery is an incredible selection of mixers - one of them being a delicious lemon drop mix that results in a house full of girlfriends drinking a few too many refreshingly tart lemon drops! The store might be a little bit more, cost wise, but I don't think it's much more than a Whole Foods and the convenience of not needing to "pack in" everything I need from Bend or home for me makes the price difference, if any, worthwhile. It's clearly my preferred market when visiting beautiful Sunriver. read more

Horrible worst hot case I here seen stopped in for lunch and got the rudest deli workers ever she was training a gentleman and I pray her customer service didn't run off on him. Do not be fooled by the sign on 97 that clearly says "GAS" but directs you instead to this looney bin. Continue on to La Pine where there are normal people, right on 97, who will actually fill up your tank, smile, and restore your faith in humanity. The guy pumping gas here at Sunriver marketplace is dangerously hostile and should not be in contact with the public in any capacity. The girls behind the bakery counter were not at all surprised, and unabashedly thrilled that someone was complaining about this cretin. The manager was very nice and tried to pump my gas but could not figure out how to charge the sale - for which I was charged two dollars - and so wasted thirty minutes of my time, which was all the more annoying because it was snowing heavily. The rest of my interactions on the gorgeous mountain pass from Bend to Klamath have been delightful. Avoid this gas station at all costs. I'm sure the market is fine. read more

Superclean super service and they have everything! They have a small deli and pretty much a full grocery store. There is also a post office inside. And it functions as a Shell gas station. The staff was friendly and answered all my questions. They have items in "gas station size" and full "grocery store size". And bathrooms! Also I noticed a walking trail next to it. read more

I pulled up to the outside pump with my wife and waited. I got out of the car to get attention. I began singing "hello, anybody here?" A customer leaving stopped and said " they can't hear you". I pushed buttons in the pump. I did not insert my card. After about 2-3 minutes another customer pulled up right in front of the window. I walked back and asked my wife something and then walked back to the pump and saw she was pumping her own gas. I looked more and saw an employee doing it. Then a 6'-5" 390 lb dude come out and ask me what the fuck was wrong. I told him I wanted gas. He says fuck you. I said I've been here waiting and you only help the inside pumps. He said "well my dick is bigger than yours". I was floored. I said we'll let's drop trouw and see. Cmon, lets cross the street and take care of your attitude. He said no. He said I'm staying here until you leave. I said fine do not come closer. He took a step and I replied no more steps,I feel in danger.
