Hidden in a small neighborhood the tap house is quite small, but they do have a couple of tables outside and some great people to talk with. They do have a larger brewery downtown but we both liked the vibe of this place. My husband I both went for a pint of the Diablo Red. We both enjoy a red brew and they are hard to come by. Everyone is looking for the magic IPA, but those beers just aren't for us. We had a great time enjoying the afternoon on a warm September day in Bend drinking this beer.

The airport shuts in the winter, the AQI is 200 all summer, and the beer is actually mid. "But, but, but, there are 30 breweries! This is amazing!" Thirty breweries of meh. You get better beer in Portland without even trying. Even our local Daddy is underwhelming, although I wouldn't say no to a Freshie. This brings us to Terranaut. I first had one of their beers at Ponch's (RIP), before the Terranaut taproom was even open. It was an uncommonly good West Coast IPA: bitter, hoppy, and citrusy. Good enough for me to frequent the taproom ever since. The beer is great, the range is varied, and the vintage hi-fi vibes are genuinely cool. Terranaut isn't just "Bend good." It's world-class--easily the best brewery in Bend.

It's a small spot in an easy-to-find industrial area. Cozy lighting and colorful artwork makes the high ceiling warehouse vibe comfortable and welcoming. I also love the National Park inspired logo. On arrival the bartender remembered me from another event the year prior, which made the visit instantly welcoming and pleasant. The beer styles and descriptions were no-nonsense and everything we tried was excellent. It was a popular spot even on a snowy weekday. If you're doing the Bend Ale Trail, this is a newer stop added, there are others nearby too. I look forward to seeing this one grow, and already looking forward to visiting again soon.

This is primarily an outdoor venue, with many picnic tables surrounded by various food trucks making it fun a location for groups as everyone can get their own things. We visited right at opening on a wet and snowy afternoon, so we opted for sitting inside. They have a few tables, the main bar, and restrooms in the front room, plus other rooms with tables behind the bar which can also be rented for events. Their beer was excellent, as their awards show. The bartender was the only one working, but did a great job with service as well as sharing about their beer. If you love disc golf or beer, this is definitely worth the stop!

I get Deschutes Brewery's "Fresh Squeezed" for less than I can get it at Deschutes. I can get Boneyard Beer Company's "RPM IPA" for less than I can get it at the Boneyard brewery! The staff is friendly and efficient. I've always been able to walk right up and place my order. A line is unheard of. The inside is nice and clean, and always quiet. I guess this place is using the low-priced growlers to bring in more customers for their lottery and video poker machines. I've never used them, but they seem to always be in use! I mentioned the $6.50 growler fills, (the cheapest in town as far as I can find), but what if you are NEW TO TOWN (like I was) or just visiting and don't have a growler? Oh, no problem, these guys will sell you one AND fill it with your choice of suds for just $8.50! Where else can you buy a growler for $2.00 and have it filled for another $6.50? No where, that's where. Go in and check these guys out. I've talked to the owners a time or two (mom and son team, I think) and they have just taken over ownership earlier this year. I'd love to see the place stick around (for obvious reasons), so the next time you need to get your growler filled, give them a shot! (There weren't any reviews yet, so I thought I'd help them out with some pics too.)
