Walking into the area where the front door is brings you to a different vibe , the pathway to what ??? .... Love it , walked onto the restaurant , love the old world charm all the wood . Very nice ! This hasn't been our favorite outing here. Staff smoking outside by customer tables gave us an instant headache. We come here because there is no patio smoking by customers. Our favorite drink, The Ghost, was removed from the menu. We ordered the French 103, but was lemon loaded so asked for Grapefruit Blossom instead which was a strange quantity pour in a large plastic cup, but much a much better drink. They still have our favorite Cali BLT & tater tots. Staffing wasn't regular enough when it comes to drinks. We sat quite a long time and then gave up and agreed to get the check when they came around. Unfortunately, we got charged for two drinks with the servers relaying from someone "that's just how it is". They did offer us to talk with the manager which was the right answer and one we don't normally pursue. Jordan, the manager, was extremely easy to communicate with and very appreciated hearing about staff smoking as they aren't supposed to smoke outside by the customers. He indicated my ask to change my drink after one taste was very appropriate and I shouldn't have been charged twice which he took care of. Highly recommend getting extra cheese because who doesn't love a cheesesteak really cheesy? We enjoyed their potato chips. However, their tots are nicely done and you can order toppings that make them stellar. Service was on point. We got there right around when a large group arrived, but there was not a long wait. I was craving some pizza and some tater tots so why not have both combined. Grinders offers a cute outside patio area as well as indoor seating and a bar. My one complaint is our order did take what seemed like a while but not too terribly long. We ended up ordering the Le hog which comes with a creamy white sauce, bacon, Canadian bacon, ham, and meatballs. We then added the world famous chili bomb, which includes chili cheese, whiz, and scallions on the middle of our pie. The pizza was delicious and I will be back again very soon. read more

Me and some others came in tonight only because we had a buy one get one deal. When we were served, the worker was under 21 and could not recommend us any drinks, and did not know anything about the drink menu. We asked for two ipas and both were out (not noted anywhere). The person who had the deal accidentally clicked the redeem button while in the restaurant and our server immediately denied it from us even though there was a timestamp and location in the history of the app he used showing that it was an accident and was not truly redeemed. We wasted money on a place we didn't even really want to go to and now we will not be coming back. Service was ok otherwise but the lack of understanding or willingness to look into the situation put a bad taste in our mouths and wasted a Christmas gift. read more

Stonewall is a great option for meh food and a great happy hour drink special. Staff is always nice. I've tried almost the full menu over the years and now just stick to the wings and drinks. My biggest beef with Stonewall is the FLIES. There are so many flies and they are hungry! I don't know if the grease trap is full or if there is a sewage leak underground, but just put out some cheap fans and it should at least help! I've seen some pretty wild things in Stonewalls backyard while eating. Last night we saw two pigeons fighting to the death. A few weeks ago I watched a snake stalk a robin and eat its eggs, and then kill the robin. Wild town. If Stretch was wanting to start another show, maybe Wild Food, by Stretch. For some reason they cut the tips of the ketchup bottles. So instead of a small hole, it's a big hole. Refer to my note about the flies. Great place if you want the thinnest sliced pizza that you'll find in most places in the US. The cost is paper thin so you don't eat all the carbs and you can eat it by the slice so you don't have to buy whole pie. They also have vegetarian options and they have meat lovers options also. The staff and managers were very helpful and friendly. There's a bar area and then there's other seating on the other side. All right that it feels like a lodge inside with lots of wood. And you can bring your own stickers to stick on the wall at the entrance and leave your mark. I would love it if they put more mozzarella cheese evenly spread instead of some areas, and I would love it if their red Sauce for the pizza sauce was more filled with fresh tomato sauce and tomatoes versus the paste. One of the best outdoor patios in OP, it feels like a picnic in a park! We've been coming here for the last 5 years since we moved into the area. It's a great neighborhood place with solidly good wings, pizza and calzones. It has been awhile and on this visit there was a new menu so I decided to try some new items. Tried the Candied BLT which was incredible and I highly recommend it. Also, had their Philly DDD special and that was also excellent. Service is always good and quick. The summertimes here are filled with live music, the patio full, + children running around the yard. I tried their pizza by the slice during my dine-in lunch visit. My two one-topping slices ($4.25 each) were served just nine minutes after I ordered at the table. They were generously sized at 10" x 10" with a thin, chewy crust that was crunchy at the edge, a reasonable number of toppings, a somewhat tangy sauce, and cheese that was flavorful and somewhat greasy. The mushroom slice was very good, but the pepperoni slice was very salty. If you are looking for just another chain pizza or sandwich place, this is not the place to try. Grinders is churning out some of the best original menu items that the Crossroads area had to offer, and now they have brought that to JoCo in the old Stonewall Inn space. Having been several times, it is high time I tell others why. First, great food. Next, you pick. Environment, variety, live events (think trivia), killer patio space, etc. Grinders takes their Crossroads vibe and fits it nicely into a suburban spot. You can do their rather legendary pizza (by the slice or sharing to be nice) or sample a robust menu. Add in daily drink specials and some of the friendliest bar staff in town and you simply can't go wrong. To me, what makes their pizza is their sauce, known as 'Rockin' Red'. It simply makes everything better. You can get one of their kicked up slices, or you can make your own, and the slice size is roughly the size of your face. One slice is a meal for most people. You can get pizza to go, and their curbside service is outstanding. We are fans of the 'Leavitt', which while being sans meats, is a phenomenal pie. Even their BBQ is worth the choice. The Mixon and the Squealer, one with brisket and the latter with pulled pork, are done right and served with local sauce. But if you're feeling your oats and are wearing loose pants, then you can give the Big A$$ Smash burger a whirl. At that point, calories aren't important, so load it with cheese and bacon and pair it with a side. It's a *lot* of burger, and done really well. If the weather is right, then I highly suggest the patio, a broad brick expanse with some minimal traffic noise. A great way to enjoy a beer or Bloody Mary (their local craft beer selection is legit and rotates), the patio has some string lighting for the evening or umbrellas for when the sun is shining. Ok this is hard to write because the house salad and pizza were very good. We came in on a busy night and wait was 20-30 min so grabbed a drink. This place was busy and servers were serving food very fast. We get seated and ordered the house salad with ranch on the side (1 small container) and Le Hog pizza and both of these were incredible. Here's where it went downhill. We asked for silverware and received 1, we needed a couple more for our dinner, never received them and asked 3X. I also asked for one more container of dressing, never received it but was charged on my bill. We felt like we were being punked but weren't this server didn't give a shit, very obvious Also to refill our waters and that never happened, it's like they just stopped serving ppl and they place was half full. This was reflected in her tip so whatever & included the issues on our bill Won't eat in the restaurant after this but will do carry out. The patio is a really good place to be when the weather is nice. The menu features most of your Grinders favorites, which include pizzas, wings, calzones and sandwiches. You can pair your meal with a tasty brew off of the restaurant's strong beer list. Our server was excellent. My husband and I have been passing by this place every time we go down Pflumm road. We decided to give it a try on a Saturday night. The parking lot looked like it had a good amount of cars, and when my husband got down to look at the menu, the young man advised that he could seat us right away. Apparently, they're known for their pizza. We decided to order some sandwiches. I had the cubano, and my husband had a Philly. It was warm and fresh. They make their own potato chips, and they are nice and crunchy. The service was good. We learned this establishment has been here a long time. I would consider this a sports bar. You have music playing in the background, and we learned they sometimes have live music playing on certain days. We had two sodas and 2 sandwiches, and with a 20% tip, it was almost $40. It wasn't bad at all, but nothing stood out. We do plan on trying their pizza soon since they are so close to home, and that is what they are known for. I have had a cuban sandwich at Qt before that reminded me of this one. Both good just one more price friendly. (2nd review of 2021) This review is for the Uber Eats (UE) online ordering & pick up. We've come here before about 3 years ago & dined in. This time because of the pandemic wifey & I wanted to be safe & ordered pick up. It took them about 20mins to have the order ready. With ordering thru UE you need to go into the restaurant to the bar side (to the left as you enter the big wooden door). You tell them you ordered thru UE & your name. They'll have it ready sitting on the counter by the kitchen. From what I observed, they did have people social distancing for dine in. They do require anyone entering the restaurant to wear facemasks (there's a sign on the door). Wifey got the Chicken Charles Fajita Salad (UE $12.50). She said that she liked the marinade on the chicken. The salad was pretty big too! She couldn't finish it all & had leftovers for lunch the next day. I had the Hillybilly Smashed burger (UE $10.00). Their burgers come with homemade chips. My chips were a bit koge (aka burnt), so it was jus meh. The burger was a lil disappointing as I was told their smashed burgers were big. If I remember correctly, the last time we dined in, we had one of the burgers & it was kinda big. My yelper friends know, I can eat. I coulda ate about 3 of these. Maybe I'll try the Big Triple Smashed next time. Other than the size of the burger, it was good. The bacon was kinda thick & crunchy.
