Super convenient location inside the Lenexa Market. Very quick to order and pickup, with some of the freshest salads I've found at a pizza place. I was waiting on my food across the way and saw Topp'd was selling a peach cobbler sour beer and had to try it! It ended up being my $7 for a 12 oz which seemed pretty pricey for a small beer in my opinion. The beer was fantastic other than that, it was sweet but sour enough to be called a sour. I was having trouble reading what all they offered beer wise because the menu was only on the TVs behind the bar. I always love when I have lunch at Topp'd. Ordering here is very easy, you can use the kiosks at the front and leave your number. Staff will call out your order when it is ready. I typically get the pepperoni pizza. Although this is a personal pan size, I always have leftovers and find I can make 2 meals out of it. 2nd visit 5/22/21: Loved visiting the Lenexa Public Market for Yelp's Adventure in KC challenge to get out and explore new places. I love seeing new places, I I was super happy to see Topp'd on the list of places to check out -- bc it's so good!! Boys got a small monster meat pizza and my daughter and I split another small - Half margarita and half sausage and pepperoni. I'm not a huge fan of processed meats, so if you aren't either, I wouldn't recommend anything but their Canadian bacon (ham). It was tastier than the others. The employees were all great, but the main guy taking our order was pretty new and didn't know the menu well enough to tell us what was on each pizza. But they pulled together their knowledge, and got our order correct. Phew. Crisis averted. Owner came by during ordering - what a fun conversationalist. An idea: - Have the folks taking the orders memorize the menu better before putting them right on ordering. - less cheese! Behind the counter, you were aggressive and told me to leave this review so here you go. .....This will get windy, but if you'd like, skip to the end and I'll tell you about my experience. Went in to get food at 7pm on a Thursday night. Building was empty and found Topp'd to be the only place open. I'd heard the horror stories about this place due to 2,000 of us working in an engineering office nearby but since it was the only thing open, we had no option. I looked this place up before and found the following comments regarding their service left by other Yelpers.... "This individual had a bossy New Jersey type attitude in suburban KC and acted like he was doing the world a favor by waiting on us". "The manager was rude and short". "This same female worker replied 'you have to wait like everyone else, if you want beer you can go somewhere else' ". "Our recent visit, the two men working were arguing over how long they'd been working all day which isn't great to hear as a customer. Then they were rude to us too". Ok. So that gets me to my visit last night. Long story short, our family and three other families in our group get our food. Total tab for pizzas beers, and kids drinks ~$200. We tipped around $40 to the two guys working behind the counter. Pizza comes out, looks good. Then my 6 year old daughter wants to know if I can grab her some ranch to dip her pizza in. I go up to the counter, ask for some ranch. 1 of the 2 employees hands me a 2oz plastic cup of ranch, I thank him, then walk off. Now enters one of the most passive-aggressive service individuals I have ever met. Corey was his name. I get a few feet back to our table and he tells me, "hey, you gotta pay for that". I'm like, "for this?" showing him the tiny cup. He said "yeah, everyone has to pay for it. It's $0.83". In my mind, I'm thinking, "ok man. We just paid $200 for food and tipped you $40 and now you want me to pay you another $0.83". Ok whatever. So I use my debit card to pay for the ranch and then ask politely if they'll just throw another one in since the cup is so small, the other employee hands me one, and I start to walk off. Here we go again...Corey then gives me another hard "No". Then threatens me by saying "IF YOU DON'T WANT TO PAY FOR IT, GIVE ME THE CUP BACK". Not wanting Corey to come out from behind the counter and make a huge scene in front of my family, I pay the $0.83. Just absolutely terrible service. Carson, if you're reading this, I'm sorry you have to work at a pizza joint as a young adult. I'm sorry if there are things going on in your life that cause you to take that anger and aggression out on customers. I hope you find peace in what you're looking for. The service industry isn't made for you and Topp'd should be embarrassed for having someone like you represent them. If you're thinking about going out for pizza, there are other options available. The pizzas are a perfect size for one person and you can either order off the menu of pre-listed pizzas or created your own. The wait didn't take long at all and the pizzas were hot when I got them. The crust is crispy and full of flavor. There are no shortage of toppings which is awesome! The sauces are really good. I had the pizza with BBQ sauce and the BBQ sauce was a bit sweeter than I was anticipating but still really good. The Lenexa Public Market is a bit far from my house so I don't think I will be a regular at Topp'd but when I do make the journey or am in the area I would definitely come back when craving some pizza! read more

Topp'd is located inside the The Public Market in the City Center District. The food seems a bit overpriced but nonetheless, it is pretty good. I like to create my own pizza, so being able to control what does and does not go on my chicken Alfredo pizza is nice. The Apple Cranberry salad is very good. It's a mix of mixed greens, feta, sliced apples, dried cranberries, candied almonds, and balsamic vinaigrette. The half was $5 and definitely worth the price! read more

I really love the Topp'd on Rainbow near the KU Medical Center, so I was really bummed by my experience at the Lenexa Public Market location. My brother and I were the only ones there and yet service was slooow. Not a big deal since we weren't on a time crunch. Service was otherwise friendly. However, in terms of food, the Buffalo Chicken pizza and the Pig, Fig, and Goat pizza at the Lenexa location doesn't even compare to the KUMC location. The KUMC location has a way about how they place the cheese and ingredients down before baking (or something, I really don't know) that makes it so you can taste and enjoy every ingredient. Something about how the Lenexa location made their pizzas made it all melt into one indiscernible bite- completely overwhelmed by blue or goat cheese (on their respective pizzas), and with no other real flavors to enjoy. Maybe I came on an off night, who knows, but I likely won't be back unless I get a craving that can't wait until I'm back on campus. read more

two stars for the benefit that the food is good because that wasn't the problem i had. they sell a whiskey lemonade and I had gotten food somewhere else and just wanted the drink. the line to order food was very long and no one was at the cashier so I asked if i could just order drinks and be on my way. was very rudely told that i needed to wait in line like everyone else even though i wasn't getting food (my dad had done that before which is why i thought it would be fine). the woman behind me was in the same boat and asked herself explaining she just wanted the lemonade to which this same female worker replied "you have to wait like everyone else, if you want beer you can go somewhere else." not pleasant! waited 30 min and finall made it to the cashier who charged me for two of the lemonades and then realized they were out. not happy read more

The pizza was pretty good, service was OK. Really wanted to try their gelato. Most Gelato places will let you sample the different flavors, not here. I wasn't expecting a huge scoop or anything, just a little bit to get an idea of which flavor to order. Ate here tonight with my parents. I had the margherita pizza, my dad had the Topp'd pizza, and my mom had the Greek. The crust and cheese and everything on my pizza was good though a final sprinkle of salt would have made all the difference to make it a perfect slice. My dad really liked his pizza, especially for the cost. My mom said her salad was just ok. She commented on how they used green olives rather than kalamata olives, which are more traditional. Also felt the banana peppers were an odd addition. She did like the dressing and the feta though. I chose to call in my order. It was waiting on me when I arrived, and the pizza was still good on the temp when I got back to work. With a 500 degree oven, it doesn't surprise me it was ready and still hot. I went with their small monster meat pizza and their cobb'd salad. Portion size is definitely on point with price to me. The salad was full of fresh ingredients, and the chicken was cooked perfectly. I also liked the blue cheese dressing. The pizza lived up to its name. I enjoyed all the varieties of meat, especially the Canadian bacon. It too had fresh ingredients, and I particularly liked the mushrooms. No canned or jarred mushrooms used here. The crust was okay, but it was definitely about all the toppings for me. I'm really picky on my crusts. The cheddar cheese did throw me somewhat. I really love the idea of fast personalized pizza. I've tried other local restaurants with a similar concept, and I really think Topp'd has more quality ingredients, as well as a more diverse menu. Tonight we tried a pepperoni pizza, and a Thai peanut pizza. The crust is great-not too crunchy, and not too thick. The red sauce on the pepperoni pizza was dynamite! It's thick and flavorful without being overpowering. The Thai pizza left a little something to be desired unfortunately. I love the effort to do something different with a Thai pizza, but we didn't personally care for the combination of peanut sauce, jalepeños, and basil, although it looks beautiful! The worker behind the counter was delightful and friendly, but the pizzas (and a salad) did seem to take a little too long to prepare. Thankfully there was no line tonight, but if busy, I'd worry that food would take a long time to crank out. This place is new, and I think they have an awesome concept, and a fantastic menu. We ordered (and paid) online, an hour before the scheduled pick up...but still waited 10-15 minutes. 2/3 of our order wasn't even made yet, and it's not like they were busy. We were the only customers! The worst part was how the high school drop out criticized my, "very confusing," order. I tried to be nice and explain how THEIR online order process works. While willing to complain about my food allergies (!), he blew off the idea of actually looking at their system to learn how it works. He was probably too busy, doing nothing.
