Amazing pizza, great atmosphere, best pizza in the Midwest, loved it and they're open till midnight

The Margarita and K-7 Kombo pizzas were great. The kid's personal pizzas were a good value. Actually, the food in general had reasonable pricing. Service was nearly immediate when we walked in and our drinks were filled as quickly. So the restaurant nails food and service, but the first thing I noticed, however, is the atmosphere. My daughter said it reminded her of Wall-E's home. Some will love this eclectic ambiance some may hate it. The real issue is the broken down nature of so many items (Bathroom fixtures, games, and alcohol cooler). It gave me pause. Glad I stayed. On closer look this place is great for families with kids. Many tables have TV's, which work out well while you wait for the pizza's to cook. So I will give this place four stars but only because of the state of the environment. I recommend you try this place and hope management can improve first impressions so they don't lose customers before they discover the great flavor. read more

So disappointed in the new ownership. We're afraid our local neighborhood pizza place is changing for the worse. We've been customers from the beginning but we've never been turned away from sitting down for dinner because they were prioritizing online orders. We came back for more great pizza and to observe more about this fun Pizza place. We were greeted as we came in the door by our previous waiter, Donovan, who was happy to see us. On this trip I noted that some booths had small tv's with cable channels. I took pictures of the train, but due to time constraints, we did not check out the game room. We're saving that for our next trip. read more

Cool little pizza place with pinball machines. Our party ordered a few Old fashions and they only had enough for two. They did offer to go and buy alcohol to make more. They had a special that if you bought a 13" specialty pizza you got an 11" for $3. I ordered the Taco pizza with no black olives and it still came with them on it. Not a huge deal for me but... Both the pizzas were large and had good flavors. I'm not sure how long the kid that was taking care of our table had worked there but he had not had much of what is offered on the menu and was much help with suggestions. read more

It took 1 hour and 45 minutes to deliver the pizza and salad. I got the text saying it was ready. I called to confirm it was being delivered. Then the pizza sat on their counter an hour getting cold. I had to call them twice to check the status. Total incompetence. Follow up. The next morning the manager called me. He apologized, gave me a refund and a gift card. He asked me to give them another chance. read more

I will not be returning to this pizza spot. I am used to waiting for pizza and didn't mind it because it was worth it. However, the quality has gone down and the last time I went, they clearly put a small pizza into a larger box. Customer service nonexistent. Check your boxes prior to leaving. My four-year-old actually introduced me to Pizza West! His preschool went here for a field trip.. the kids all made personal pan pizzas and a dessert pizza. My son was so intrigued by this activity he even asked to have his birthday party here..for a fun pizza making party! Food was great. The atmosphere was inviting with really cool upside down hanging lights with a creative flare. Service was good and the owners were hands-on making sure our visit was enjoyable. We did notice a couple issues with our ticket having an extra charge for a kids drink even though on the menu it says drinks are included in a kids meal but other than that we loved our experience. I recommend giving pizza west a try if you're looking for a new pizza/pasta/wing place in Shawnee ks!! read more

Accompanied by Stella, we made our way to Pizza West. We were delighted by our server, using the modern lingo. The pasta was "mad hot" and the pizzas were scrumptious. First time tried this pizza place, pizzas were unique and great taste, became our favorite place.

We have been eating Pizza West pizza for almost as long as I've lived in western Shawnee,0 15 years. When the kids come over for a visit or a sporting event we'd get their pizza. Recently during the NFL playoffs my son ordered 3 of their pizzas and boy what a disappointment! Normally we'd of put a good dent in the three but we had almost two left over. They were almost all tasteless, and they missed several of the extras ordered as toppings. The sauce was almost non-existent. It was more like a stain on the crust, or sprayed on! The crust was not at all like we used to get. I had to "doctor" the leftovers up just to make it edible. Didn't work. Threw most of it away. I do not like to pan any restaurant like this but it was a total waste of good money. Then I heard that Pizza West was no longer owned by Knubs and that explained everything. We will have to find another go to place for pizza now. We will not be going back there ever again and that's too bad. read more

The Sunday special is $6 off 2 13" pizzas, which will feed us for at least 2 more meals. We enjoyed the Clear Creek Carnivore and the Bacon Cheeseburger, those pickles are amazing! Bacon Cheeseburger Hamburger, red onion, bacon and pickles over mustard topped with mozzarella, provolone and cheddar. Walking is and seeing the pinball machines was a throw back to my childhood. However, in this day and age, I had no change. There is always next time. We love going to pizza places and reviewing them. Here is our score. Pizza: 8.5. Just too much cheese but we loved the options to get less and a discount. The crust was made with Love and the sauce, my favorite ever. Ambiance: 10. Cozy and they have pinball machines and tvs at the table. Life is good! Service: 7. Young man was nice. He just needs to be trained to know the menu better and talk to us. It's not an experience if you can't bring us along. He has potential and will get there. If you like St Lois style try the thin Lizzy it's the bomb! The place is decorated really funky and cool, pinball machines and a fun spot! I've been eating here for years they are not your chain pizza stop but worth the little extra $ for good pizza! Best pizza, great service! read more

The lunch buffet (soup, salad & pizza for $7.29) is a pretty good deal. There was one soup (Italian stew), a good variety of fresh ingredients at the salad bar (including seven dressings), and a well-stocked pizza bar with many varieties, including dessert pizzas. The beverage and plate pickup service was exemplary (friendly, helpful, and attentive), and the employees were cheerful, which created a good atmosphere. The dining area was clean, and uniquely decorated, with a TV in each booth, and upbeat 60's background music. There was also a birthday party area, which was in use during my visit. Great little place to have some good food and relax! We went on a Friday afternoon and were greeted immediately by Cory who walked us through the menu since it was our first time here. Nice atmosphere, clean, good music, and each booth had a TV. We started with the spinach artichoke dip which was the best I've had anywhere! I recommend you get it with the garlic bread for dipping. It's crispy and delicious while the dip is cheesy and flavourful! Then we got a rolled crust Carnivore pizza. The sauce is good, not too sweet and the toppings were abundant. While we were eating Cory checked on us several times and was very helpful when we asked for suggestions. There's plenty on the menu that I'll be returning to try for sure! read more
