I've been to Stone Canyon Pizza a few times and have always had a good experience. The most recent visit was no exception! We got the Italian Delight pizza, which is topped with Mozzarella, Parmesan, and Romano cheeses, pepperoni, Italian sausage, Genoa salami, and sweet roasted red peppers. It was a really tasty combination of flavors and the ingredients tasted fresh. Honestly, the real star of the show for me is their ranch dressing. I'm a huge fan of dipping my pizza, and their ranch is absolutely incredible--it's a must-try! We enjoyed our meal on their back patio, which is a great spot to relax and enjoy the weather and still had wonderful service the whole time. I took my wife to dinner at this restaurant. She has a beef allergy which normally is taken lightly by the wait staff at restaurants we visit. Makayla was our server and she was incredible. Sad to hear that this pizza place is closed down, but hopefully it's only temporary. I have to be honest that the pizza here is bad, and you don't expect anything else in Missouri to be honest. While St Louis has its own style, even that doesn't do it for me, and out here in Kansas City I've never had a good slice of pizza. Our first time here and our experience was not good . We decided to have the burger specials . While the burgers were good , the fries were horrible. They were nearly black like they were fried in old oil , soggy and cold . They didn't even look like they should have been served . The server agreed they were bad , but never offered us a new serving of fresh fries . When we got the check , we had to ask for a discount because we were never offered one . We got $3.00 off our total bill for two half meals because the fries were not edible . Downtown Gladstone has been growing. Gaining attention as a foodie town and the addition of locally-owned Stone Canyon Pizza Company is the newest feature to call Gladstone home. Nestled off of North Oak Trafficway and Northeast 70th Street, the new pizza place is just a block away from Gladstone's City Hall and Community Center. Street parking and a few public lots are dotted around the area making the business easy to access on foot. The open-concept dining space features a mix of high-top and low tables. The focal part of the space is the bar, which wraps around the majority of the eastern wall. The front section features high-top tables able to accommodate parties of 5 to 10, and there is a large garage door that can be opened to expand seating onto the small patio. To the rear of the business is an enclosed section, framed in dark-stained wood with multiple flat-screen televisions on the wall. This would be ideal for hosting private parties. This northland pizza chain has added and moved locations throughout the metro. I'm pleased this one is now so close to my area. Known for hearty pizzas, sandwiches, pasta and salads, this is a nice addition for the community of Gladstone. As we arrived, we were promptly greeted and offered our preference of a high-top or low table. We opted for the first available and were seated at a high top near the doors. The aroma of dough, sauce and melted cheese prepare our senses for the joy we would be receiving shortly. Our server introduced herself and took our drink orders. We placed an order for mozzarella sticks and set back to enjoy the space. It appears that as much of the open space is utilized but not too crowded. Staff and patrons easily navigated the room. There was some confusion between staff about table numbers. As our drinks and appetizer were brought out, the runners each tried to deliver them to the table next to us. Our server quickly stepped in for the redirect. The mozzarella sticks were fresh and hot. A cup of warmed marinara on the side. A short while later, our pizza was delivered. We chose the specialty Grand Canyon. If heaven is on Earth, it's in the form of this pizza. Fresh ingredients, savory sauce and gooey cheese. What I consider perfection! Two small details that stick with me. First, avoid sitting too close to the door in winter. It's very chilly when the door is opened. Second, the plates for the pizza are too small in diameter. I tried Stone Canyon Pizza for the first time on Sunday night. We ordered online through their website and I believe that grub hub delivers for them. I ordered a pizza with Italian sausage for myself and kids and a gluten free pizza with basil pesto sauce, cream cheese, onions, and bacon for my mom that has chrones and celiac. The gluten free pizza was delivered with red sauce which I personally wouldn't care and gobble up but my mom can't have red sauce. Their customer service on this issue was very polite and they seemed genuinely concerned. They refunded my money for the GF pizza but said I would have to reorder online for it be delivered since it goes through a 3rd party. Unfortunately the refund did not cover the cost to reorder a solo pizza by $20! However, when they didn't get the reorder they called me back and offered to mail a giftcard for a free pizza. I thought this was handled perfect! The pizza itself was "okay" but I will order from them again because of how great they handled this situation! Thanks! read more

A good 4.5 stars... but yelp doesn't allow that, so it gets a 4 star.. but know i contemplated giving it 5 stars. It's a pizza place with other items on the menu. We sat over in the bar area so we could watch the Stanley cup and and be closer to the source of the beers. Tough decision on pizza, they have a bunch of them that look good. We got a Small bobs whole hog and a small ham and bacon. Was it a ton of food for 2 people.. likely, but we ate it all anyway. When in rome? Eitherway.. both pizza's were awesome. they were cooked well, had great crust, meat and love put into them. Good flavor on the pizza's overall. They were crispy enough, but not too crispy. Beer menu - looks like its a good, ever evolving menu. Plenty of choices and the prices seemed pretty decent as well. especially after paying ballpark prices for the past couple days. I'll start with what was good about the restaurant. It was clean with decent atmosphere. The service was very good and the staff was friendly. No complaints there. But I'm the kind of person that puts most of the weight of a rating in the food. I'm the kind of person who who would take abuse from the Soup Nazi if the soup was that good. I had an original crust pizza with pepperoni, ham, onions, and red peppers. The food was good in the sense that the toppings were fresh, but the crust and the sauce was extremely bland. And those two things make or break a pizza. I can name five pizza joints in KC (four in the Northland) that have better pizza then Stone Canyon, and that list would include a national chain. I would not say that I wouldn't go back and try something different, but I think I ordered something that is fairly representative of what a pizza joint should get right, and they missed the mark. read more

Garbage. So many things wrong with this place. My girlfriend and I ordered take out. We only went because we had a gift card; we did not have high expectations. However, they didn't even meet the lowest of our expectations, and we will never be returning. The manager was unpleasant and just plain rude.
