They have a great selection of dishes, so much so that I had a hard time choosing. The Blackened Magic Chicken Sandwich was to die for - I can see that being my go-to. I had a ling travel day and decided to give Knub's a try. Wow! I wish I would have found it sooner! The whole team was friendly and inviting! I sat at the bar and Dallas took good care of me there. I had a drink in front of me fast. I was going to get a burger until I heard the special. It was a chili cheese dog... Nathan's hot dog, New York bun, home made chili, and home made cheese sauce. I got some jalapeño poppers on the side. The dog was hands down the best I have ever had. Everything was in perfect flavorful harmony! The poppers were a unique variation. We always love visits to our local neighborhood pub, Knubs. The atmosphere can be loud, lots of games on plus pinball machines. There's a TV in every booth, with your own remote. Off peak or not during games is more quiet if that's your vibe. Kitschy decor, old license plates, sports memorabilia, and as I mentioned lots of top quality pinball machines. They're a part of a local pinball group, too. Food is never less than amazing, I've added a couple photos, one from a recent visit (nachos) and a recent to go (wings and sampler). They have great weekday lunch specials, plus a different daily special each day. We are always anxiously checking the home cooking special on Sundays, awaiting the return of the corn dogs . Came here at the best time of day. I was almost the only patron. Staff were super friendly and server frequently checked on me. Ordered chicken tenders which were cooked and seasoned perfectly. I also ordered mushrooms; they were thickly breaded and lacked in flavor but you get a lot of them for the money. I then order the cinnamon apples à la mode and they were wonderful. I wish they had been garnished with an oatmeal cookie or crunch as they were almost apple crisp from the jump. Last time I was at Knub's Pub I had a great time. On this visit, things didn't go as well. Service was slower than normal, with our server passing by several times without checking on us. Even with our check in hand and headed towards us, she changed direction and checked on another table, reversing her steps to take care of them when she could have literally taken two steps and dropped off our check. Since last fall, my friend and I have been searching out KC's best arcades ... playing pinball beats doomscrolling, amiright? When our quest expanded to anywhere with games, we discovered Knub's. Their pinball machines aren't the star attraction, but they ARE well maintained and fun. What's brought us back weekly -- from across town -- is the great food and ambiance. We happened to meet one of the owners on our first night, and he was friendly and gracious. And the food! What a nice surprise that was! Knub's serves bar food that's several notches above your typical KC experience. Their cheese curd balls are uniquely delicious, and be sure you're not playing a game when they come to the table because they go fast! My blackened chicken sandwich was amazing, and all that was left of my friend's blackened wings was crumbs and a big smile on his face. His Bloody Mary had the bartender's special ingredient, which he said was great. And every time we've been there my cocktails have been on point. I say every time because we've been there once a week since. When was the last time you repeatedly drove a half-hour plus for amazing bar food? We decided to try out their Wednesday steak night. We had about a 20minute wait to get seated. When we did finally get seated, it took another 10 minutes for someone to come to our table to greet us and take our drink order. Service was pretty slow the whole time. At one point, both of us needed refills on our drinks and we saw our server in the back taking shots. On a positive note, the food was great. I had the steak special, which was a filet mignon and it was cooked to a perfect medium. My Husband had a cheeseburger which he really enjoyed. Waiting for a play at Mill Valley HS we decided to have dinner at Knub's Pub. This is a sports and pinball bar and decorated as one might expect. The menu is respectable and the service by Kaleigh was excellent start to finish. I opted for the Big Pub salad and added blackened chicken with the Apple Cider Vinaigrette. It wasn't particularly large but very good. We were a party of three and one meal consisted of a burger - I don't know which one- and onion rings. The other person had the same salad as I did sans blackened chicken. She also had onion rings and it all looked great. Like most sports bars the environment was on the loud side. I'm sure that Cinco de Mayo played into that. We really enjoyed Knub's Pub although I wouldn't drive the 30+ miles we did just to eat there. Really cool decor right when you walk in! We were immediately seated and got our drink order taken. I'm not a bone in wing girl (which is what I've heard is amazing) and so I just went with the chicken tender basket with fries. Hubs got the wings and fries. So the first thing I would tell you is review my photos. I showed up directly from festival wearing all of my gear... minus sword of course. Several of us came here to have a relaxing meal outside. It was a fantastic night and the staff was very good about keeping an eye out for us to have empty beers or plates. I was very pleased with all of the food. The wings were still moist and flavorful and my burger was to die for! Sides and apps were also greatly delicious and huge sized helpings. Here is the one "complaint" they had some delicious beers... but as always the selection really seems to be heavy on the IPA or Pale Ale side. We go here regularly as locals. Great food, great service and the owners are super nice. They seem to treat their staff well, and just good vibes. Burgers are good, and our family favorite is the beef nachos. Wings are great as well, prices on wings are up some but so is Everywhere else. Freaking grest place. The atmosphere is amazing. Great decor with a history you can tell. Page the bartender is super attentive. Cory came out and talked with us. I've been here twice, once for dinner and drinks on a Saturday night and once for lunch on a Sunday at noon. The good: there are televisions at every table and you can pick what you are watching! The food is mediocre at best. The service is mediocre at best. The drinks are just ok. There is nothing about this place that makes it any better than your average bar and grill. I know the cost of dinning is getting out of control these days, BUT 3 sandwiches, and nachos with water to drink was over $60 before tip. The serving sizes were minimal, especially the french fries, and items were missing from them menu description. One burger, no pickles and on another only 2 pickle slices - come on Knub's you can do better than that for the prices you're charging!!! Service also suffered; our server stopped at our table a total of 3 times. He spent the majority of his time near the kitchen door talking to fellow workers or just standing there.... No water refills were offered, no plates for the appetizer (although requested); however, we did get an additional 4 pickle slices when we asked for them - a positive I guess. And the noise... the music was annoyingly loud and people were compensating just to be heard, adding to the confusing atmosphere. Overall, very disappointing way to spend ~$70. We've been there many times over the years and have enjoyed dining there, but this recent visit will be our last visit. read more

This is the best pub food I've ever had!! And it's dog friendly. Our waitress was great and even brought a dish of ice water out to the patio for our dog. I'm from California and Arizona where there are great vegetarian dishes, which are hard to find in KC, so I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of vegetarian selections on the menu. The falafel burger was delicious, and I've never had better onion rings. The sauces and dressings are all homemade and very tasty. You have to try the cocktail sauce. Also, if you're a meat lover, they use Steve's meat (in De Soto), which is the best meat in Kansas City. Looking forward to returning here on a regular basis, and can't wait to sample their fall line of aged stout beers. read more
