So I read this article that said Strawberry Hill might have the best dive bars in America. So I had to go to check them out. I had seen an ad for them on FB so why not. I loved their signature drinks. I'll be honest. I'm a sucker for signature drinks. The 5th star is for Sara(h) the bartender. She's engaging, she's funny, she made us want to come back to this bar. Her personality was amazing. She was the star of the bar.

$6 Weller. Some local taps and TVs. You know the way to my heart! Clearly a local bar. Lots of locals. Loud conversation. Worth the Uber ride!

"Where everybody knows your naaaaaaammmmmme!" This is that kind of place. The perfect neighborhood bar. The bartenders are friendly, fast, attentive and remember your name and drink of choice. My husband has been going here for 20+ years and it's one of our most loved spots in KCK. They always have great specials and more often than not, there's free food offered in the back dining room! The popcorn machine with the assortment of flavored toppings to jazz it up a little is just ONE of the many things that add to the draw and charm of this dive bar.

FREE WAFFLES FREE WAFFLES AND $3 MIMOSAS AND MAN-MOSAS!! That was the special today for the New Year. I enjoyed myself, the crowd wasn't jam packed & atmosphere was awesome. The waffles were good, nice spread they had laid out. Blueberries, butter whipped cream etc etc. Drinks were good and for $3 can't be it. This was my 1st time here, so I'm not sure what else they have to offer, but I'd go back.

    Katrina on Sunday funday.

Best bar in KC. Period. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. It's like KC's version of Cheers. You can't go wrong.

It was very hot but we cooled off inside. I'd like to try the patio if possible if I go back. We sat in the upper room due to being able to see the tvs. It was busy but not hectic and we found a table right away. I like Irish beer but I tend to get the local brews when I travel and I'm glad I did. Boulevard was pretty good! If I had more time I would have looked for a six pack to drink before paying RIDICULOUS prices at the stadium or FIFA Fan Fest! Service was good, quick and friendly. I brought my bottled water in, as most restaurants use the bleachy tap, and they were ok with bringing me a glass and some ice. The rest rooms were smallish but clean. Next time I'll also try to get the 'authentic' Irish or local fare!

It seemed like a lot of people, but the music was just wonderful. They are so creative and have such good ears to listen to each other. Conroy's has great happy hour specialists from 3 to 6 PM. My wife enjoyed Magner's cider on draft, and I had a Guinness and then a black and tan. Great drinks! Our friends enjoyed their salmon and pork belly entrées as well as a Reuben. My wife and I shared the fish and chips, which was wonderful. It was one big, huge piece of fish and some fries and mushy peas. I would've rather two smaller pieces of fish since we shared it but that's OK. We would happily return and try anything on the menu because everything looked amazing. Really a great night at our neighborhood bar. Our server Maria was fantastic.

Even walking in, we weren't quite sure what to expect. The entrance is small, and you're greeted right away, which was a nice touch. Once inside, it's very dark with deep red lighting--almost like stepping into a cave. It took a moment for our eyes to adjust, but once they did, we immediately felt at ease. The space is cozy and perfectly aligned with its purpose: it's all about the jazz. The service was great--welcoming, attentive, and added to the overall experience without taking away from the music. And the music? Absolutely captivating. It pulls you in and transports you--you can't help but settle into the vibe and just enjoy the moment together. We went on a Monday, so there was plenty of seating, but I noticed there's also a lower level that likely accommodates larger weekend crowds. There's a solid drink menu and a small selection of food, but honestly, this isn't the place you come for a full meal. Come for the drinks, stay for the music, and soak in the atmosphere.
