I probably attend this place too often because it's on my way home from work. All the food is good and surprisingly light. Even the chicken tenders or less bread than I would've expected. The fish tacos are amazing and I lived in California for 20 years so I know fish tacos. The breakfast on the weekends is outstanding. The bar staff is just all around great and always attentive. I personally like the TVs to watch a game and just sit at the bar, it can get busy on weekdays with a happy hour crowd, but weekends are usually pretty low-key. Extensive selection of beer and whiskey as you would expect from an Irish bar. I personally don't like a lot of bread on my sandwiches so I always ask them to press it as you can see from the French dip picture here. Ambience is simple but yet still reminds me of a bar you would find in the UK or Ireland.

The pub vibe is really cool, and immediately immersive when you walk in. The place was super clean with dark lighting. We started with the sausage roll appetizer which was super hearty, with flavorful and tender meat. The pastry outside was flaky, crispy, and warm. I got an Irish Margarita which was a unique margarita flavor but really good. It was very sweet and tangy. The orange flavor was the strongest. Then I ordered the Cottage Pie which was very delicious. The mashed potatoes were smooth and the beef mixture was very filling. I only finished half. Liam R served us and was very helpful and kind.

Delish and fun! I love conroys. Consistent food with a warm atmosphere on a colder night!

Went for Snake Saturday. This Irish pub has some great food and drinks. I had the Irish stew. They have everything from pizza to fish and chips, nachos and desserts. Decent beer selection and seasonal cocktails.

This is the second time I've come in, and I've enjoyed my meals both times. We came back for the Wednesday special (corned beef and cabbage). The only critique on this dish is the beef was tough but still good flavor. Waitstaff have been very kind and attentive. Will definitely be coming back.

It's an Irish theme Pub. What more can I say? The food is very good. I tried the Irishman sandwich at was happy with my choice. I tried the Irish stew my wife ordered and decided to order it next time. Thumps up to our server.

We there on St Patrick's and had no problem getting a table around lunch time, even with the place being busy. Staff was quick to take drink orders and answer any questions about the menu. I ordered the pulled pork pizza which has a huge amount of meat on it. I was only able to eat 2 slices. Good environment and was not too loud.

Food was good and authentic, good atmosphere, a little dark. Quiet to hold a conversation, but not silent. Service was good.

Fish and chips, tartar sauce, mushy peas, coleslaw, malt vinegar.

Food - Consistently good Service - Good Ambiance - very dark Irish pub vibe Went back here on 5/21/24 - got the Steak & Guinness Pie, let that sink in for a second, just the name is tempting, right? There are only a select few dishes/cuisines/selections that impress on Bite ONE - this is one of them! The sauce is really good and tastes delicious. Pair that with some potato chunks, carrot pieces, small onion shards, celery and mushrooms.....OMG my tastebuds said. Seriously I would nearly risk using this @ Thanksgiving dinner like my dad eats gravy - as a MOAT around it all! Pair this with either a regular Guinness, or even an NA Guinness, and you "should" be in for a treat!

Scotch Eggs in Leawood?…read more Located in a suburban strip mall around 129th and State Line in Leawood, there is ample parking in the communal lot. Stepping inside the atmosphere is that of a real (modern) Irish pub, with a full bar and comfortable tables. An old wood and leather feel that sets the stage for authentic Irish fare. Having been to their restaurant in Westwood, I have to say that I like this location better - it just "feels" better. Being part of a group of about 20 for lunch, we were seated in a separate room which made socializing easy without bothering the other customers. After being welcomed by our waiter, menus passed out and drink orders taken, we were informed that their chef was from Dublan and that dishes were made fresh in-house. While I did see Scotch Eggs (I like to think of them as an Irish version of an Egg McMuffin) on the menu, I jumped on their Fish & Chips. The breaded North Atlantic Cod was moist and flakey at the same time, with a great flavor. Included was slaw, mushy peas, and their house cut fries (all very tasty). A dash of malt vinegar and a squeeze of lemon later and I was loving it all! Portions were all pretty large, so come hungry and expect to leave satisfied. Prices are well within expectations considering quality of service, food, and atmosphere. Having been a waiter "back in the day" I was impressed with the friendly and efficient service. Not once did I see anyone waiting overly long for drink refills or their meals. That is very comforting during these "post COVID" times of reopening and short staffing. Kudo's to all involved. It is nice to see a true Irish pub in the middle of Leawood. With this one and the one on Rainbow being about the same distance from my Lee's Summit home, expect to see me returning often. Next time I will try their Scotch Eggs!

Place is the bomb. Food is amazing, atmosphere is perfect and the service is the best.read more

Even walking in, we weren't quite sure what to expect. The entrance is small, and you're greeted right away, which was a nice touch. Once inside, it's very dark with deep red lighting--almost like stepping into a cave. It took a moment for our eyes to adjust, but once they did, we immediately felt at ease. The space is cozy and perfectly aligned with its purpose: it's all about the jazz. The service was great--welcoming, attentive, and added to the overall experience without taking away from the music. And the music? Absolutely captivating. It pulls you in and transports you--you can't help but settle into the vibe and just enjoy the moment together. We went on a Monday, so there was plenty of seating, but I noticed there's also a lower level that likely accommodates larger weekend crowds. There's a solid drink menu and a small selection of food, but honestly, this isn't the place you come for a full meal. Come for the drinks, stay for the music, and soak in the atmosphere.

Happy to be so close to this awesome hangout!! It is the perfect place to go for a late afternoon…read morepatio beer, a tasty pick-me-up snack, or to catch a game. They have some pretty interesting beers on tap - we tried one with gin and a bunch of strange botanicals and while we probably wouldn't order it again we do appreciate the artistry and intrigue of something we've never conceived of tasting before! They truly do live up to their experimental Lab name! The sweet and salty pretzel bites were outta this world! Crisp and hot but soft and fluffy on the inside, I'd crush a plate of these again in a second. The fries were also tasty - overall a great spot to wind down from a farmer's market run!

All good things…read more.. We were invited to an impromptu event to taste the new additions to for the Menu when they reopen. They also were 'blowing the taps' which meant we get to try many of the beers that they were saying good-bye to. So, a little story. I was one of the first to wander into a place called Brew Lab years ago. I actually found the place because of looking for brewing supplies. There were a good amount of tools here but also these folks were serving their beer! So, what a great idea. I bought some grain... and had a few beers! I visited this place a few more times on the regular. Suddenly one day there was appetizers. And had the most divine pretzel bites that have ever existed. Next time was an amazing club sandwiches. And some pulled pork. All of the food has always been great bar food. And then there was the beer. So many delicious beers each time. Too many to try at once. But, that is all memory lane... Now... here is the news! Brew Lab is changing. The ownership remains the same however they have given up the brewing. They will have a few of their specialty beers that they keep on tap but they will have a lot more taps of beer from other breweries. On this visit they brought out a large amount of samples of the food that they will be adding/altering in the menu going forward. There were a lot of really delicious items and I am excited for when they have the full menu and I can order some of them. Most notably I am excited for the Catfish Po'boy sandwich. We will be back soon to try the all new... Tall Boys. Look for that review coming soonish!
