Wings are the best anywhere. Good service decent prices. Definite must try when you are close.

This is a local favorite for a lot of my friends! I have been here a couple times now and can agree that this place is legit. The staff is friendly, food is delicious, and environment is fun. It's kinda crazy how many tvs this place has!!! No matter what game you are going to go watch, it will be on for sure lol. We went on a Tuesday and they had $12 burgers which is an amazing deal, considering how big the burgers are. plus it comes with a side! read more

The food was amazing but the service was terrible lady with buns hardly came over and asked if we were okay, no communication at all and didn't even say thank you when we left a pretty good tip. Overall disappointing read more

Pretty disappointed in the food and service. Ordered the wings like I have in the past and asked for lite sauce. Wings came out heavily sauced. It took our server 20 minutes to check on us. By that time it wasn't even worth returning. After that we didn't see our server for another 40 minutes until we got up and went to the bar to request our check. We won't be returning. read more

The wings were great but the blue cheese had a hint of garlic that didn't sit well with me or my wife.

Place was HOPPIN for a Monday night! I really enjoyed my portobello sandwich... well made and juicy. I got potato salad for my side but it was bland- probably needs a little vinegar and egg. Next time I'll opt for another side. Service was friendly, relaxed and efficient despite the crowd. Impressive! read more

If you come here for the wings you won't be disappointed! We ordered the artichoke dip and it had no flavor. The tortilla chips where dropping oil. The fries were soggy and the burger lacked flavor. When you walk in don't expect a host to greet you. This place was very busy. The staff was nice to us. I would imagine this place would be very fun during a Chiefs game. I did like the the feel of this place just not most of the food. I would come back to watch a game and for the wings! read more

THE BEST happy hour ever! And, the wings..... omg!!!! I could eat here every single day! Yummmy!

You can't go wrong with this place. By far the best wings in Kansas and Missouri area. Actually I would like to talk about their onion rings, ranch and also Their BLTs as well, they're delicious and I can't stop eating them. Literally I can go there every week and enjoy. They have absolutely amazing service and they are super fast. It's an amazing sports bar ambiance for games with friends. read more

Peanut is always a fun place to go watch some football. Very good service from the very just bartender. Had the chili. It was very meaty, so I would recommend. Also had a club sandwich. Probably about a 7 out of 10. The Peanut has some of the better bar food in the area. read more

I picked this restaurant based on reviews and, they weren't lying! The Buffalo chicken dip was delicious! The boys said the Mac & cheese was good but would try something different besides brisket and buffalo chicken. My husband and I split the traditional wings that tasted great and was plentiful for another full meal. We will definitely be back, but I'm trying their BLT for sure. read more

We just happened to notice this place when driving by and saw a "Peanut" sign. It peaked our curiosity so figured why not try it out? Cozy little bar that serves pretty good food and has decent priced drinks. We tried the wings and nachos, both of which were flavorful and worthy of another visit! Lots of TVs if that's your thing, festive music for the holidays (most importantly set at an appropriate volume), and great service. We'll be back! read more

Like a lot of restaurants I always wish it wasn't so loud. But it's a great place to grab a bite. Nothing fancy just American style food done right. Prices as expected for slightly notched up bar food. And TVs from every view if you want to watch the "Big Game". We really like The Peanut. Laid and back and consistent. Not everyone can achieve that but they do. read more

The food and service has always been excellent. The only thing that could be improved is that the seats and tables are stacked too tight, especially when people are standing around the bar or waiting for a table. read more

You are guaranteed to not leave hungry. From their three wing & fries plate to their amped up BLT, portion size is never a problem. Here's the thing: the Peanut has multiple locations, but they tend to vary in size, service, and overall delivery. This OP location is a bit smaller than, say, South Plaza or downtown OP, but the bar is a decent size for the overall footprint. The service seems a bit scattered but all service people are welcoming. And the size cramps the overall delivery with a crowded dining room in which finding a table can be hard. Meh, so what. Peanut still has the best BLT in town, wings that keep people coming back, and constant drink specials. I sampled a seasonal cocktail called 'The Walker', a bourbon & sour with a ginger ale splash. Really good drink, totally crushable, and at $7 a super value. The wife opted for 'The Dude Abides', which is essentially a tasty White Russian but made with vanilla vodka. Again, well-executed and it went down way too easy. Follow that with a BLT and you should be able to color yourself happy. Plenty of parking, pretty good food, and good specials. Peanut is well-known about town and has earned that reputation. A few area-specific differences can't detract from that. read more

I've heard about the Peanut several times before, but just recently stopped in to give their food a try! Between my boyfriend and I we ordered the appetizer combo and their famous 3 wings and fries to split between the two of us, which was more than plenty of food to eat. The appetizer combo is a fried food lovers dream complete with with corn dogs, mozzarellas sticks, chicken tenders, fried pickles, onion rings and a choice of three sauces. The fried pickles definitely get an honorable mention because they were delicious. The 3 wings and fries were also good, but had a little too much sauce on them for my personal liking. The wings themselves were a great size, and for the price you get a good amount of food to eat! If you're looking for some good traditional bar food- definitely give The Peanut a shot! We will be returning soon to try more of the menu. read more

The Peanut - Appetizer Combo - American Near Me - Overland Park, Kansas

This is now my favorite restaurant! I came here with my girlfriend on a busy Saturday evening. When we arrived, we looked for a host, but we were informed that we can take a seat anywhere within the establishment, so we sat down at a booth. Our server greeted us warmly and asked what we would like to order. Their menu has a lot of different options to choose from, but we ordered the Appetizer Combo and the 3 Wings & Fries. The Appetizer Combo is very good. All of the food was hot, fresh, delicious, and looked amazing. Everything tasted great without adding the sauce, but when you pair the different appetizers with the sauce, it only amplifies the taste and it left me wanting more! The 3 Wings & Fries were good. The wings were covered in buffalo sauce and I don't do very well with heat, so it wasn't my most favorite, but the meat was succulent, juicy, and delicious. The fries tasted great and were crispy, delicious, and salted perfectly. Overall, I had an amazing experience here at The Peanut. Our server was great, the food was great, and the people are great. I would definitely recommend anyone wanting some great food to come to this location. I will definitely be returning to try more of the food options! read more

Easily my favorite wings on the planet. The Peanut's atmosphere gives you a great balance of a fun and exciting sports bar with the warm and friendly service of a hometown staple. I have heard excellent things about almost everything on their menu, but have only ever gotten the wings. This is the first place I meet friends when we are back in town because everyone loves it so much. The food always comes out quickly and is piping hot and the wings are moist, crispy, and perfectly sauced. A must visit if you are near any of their KC locations! read more

Been going to The Peanut for over 34 years. First time at this location and let me tell you: Dont be fooled by the bland looking strip mall exterior of this place. Open the door...and the place is down right neat and certain food is great! The Wings. These have a black pepper base; probably Franks wing sauce doctored a bit. And the full sized wings just work! The homemade blue cheese dressing. Uhm...yeah....what else do you want....it rules! The triple BLT....the onion, cheese...a touch a mayo. All blends perfectly with the plentiful bacon....tomato and lettuce. A big BLT; packing good big flavor! read more

If you love BLT's this is your place! I have never had a better BLT. You can order a single or a triple. The bacon is amazing and the BLT also has cheese, but not too much and red onion. Their Mac and cheese is made with smoked cheeses with gives it a unique taste! The only thing I would ask for is more brisket on the brisket nachos. The flavor was fabulous, but there wasn't very much meat. I would like to come again and try other items from the menu! read more

If you have not had the wings at The Peanut, WHAT TF ARE YOU WAITING FOR!!! OMG they are hands down THE BEST I have EVER had! Last night I went for wings and a side salad and I was blown away! The salad was so big! The salad was fresh and could have been a meal all by itself. I got out with amazing wings, great fresh salad, and water for about 20 bucks. BTW.... The wings take a little while to make so don't be in a hurry. They make them fresh for each order but we'll worth the wait!! read more

Great wings! Amazing BLT! Cold beer! Friendly, funny staff. What more needs to be said.

My husband and I went here a little over a month ago during a chiefs game. It was packed inside but there was one table open. My husband got the wings and he said they were the best wings he's had since we've moved here from Minnesota. I got the mac n cheese. It was okay. I liked that it wasn't too bright in there. But it was super loud because of the game, which is to be expected. Our server was nice as well. read more

My first mistake was ordering something other than the chicken wings! I ordered a taco salad instead and it was average, which is to be expected ordering a taco salad at a sports bar (especially one known for their wings). I'm glad my fiancé ordered the wings because they are just amazing. Light and juicy and flavored to absolute perfection! Another win: the pretzel sticks. They were so soft and delicious, dipped in the mustard or cheese just a dreamy combination. I have The Peanut at the top of my list to go back and order the wings for myself! read more

Stumbled on this place while searching for something to eat in KC besides BBQ and I hit the jackpot. I tried the wings and a bowl of chili and loved every bit of it. Service was good and the restaurant has a cool atmosphere with plenty of tv's. I'll be back the next time I'm in KC. read more

Delicious food and a great bar feel. The triple BLT and the turkey club are always a hit. Service is quick and always accommodating

It is a known fact that BLTs are a summertime delight. The Peanut does BLTs like none other. While we were living in Las Vegas I missed them.
