We stop for a drink (or two) and sometimes make an evening of it because the music and atmosphere are so good. So imagine our surprise when we stopped in and ordered two drinks (Gin and Soda and an Old Fashion). The soda had very little Hendricks, and the Old Fashion was a short pour. They remade the Gin and Soda, but the result was the same. We will be back again because this place is too cool to leave after one challenging experience. We expect a bounce-back performance. The drinks aren't cheap, so expectations are high (and should be) as well. For a bar that had no one in it, charging a $15 buy in at the end of the night is crazy, especially since the bouncer said never mind once we tried to leave. We didn't go in and went to a different bar. I've been to the Levee a few times now and half the time it is dead, and half the time the service sucks. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. The joint is pretty small with a long wooden bar and the atmosphere is old school neighborhood dive bar. Equally as small was the hospitality from the lady behind the bar. We seemed to be interrupting her Candy Crush game or Facebook scrolling and she was in no mood for small talk, friendliness or any form of positive customer interaction that one expects when entering a watering hole.
