The pizza is good but if you order online thru an app or delivery, the restaurant CONSISTENTLY forgets the Soda you ordered. They probably owe me like 60 bucks by now. Some of my favorite pizza in KC. This is high quality pizza with high quality ingredients. From the pizza, to the pasta, to the desserts, everything is great. I highly recommend the Monster pizza with the double dough. The lasagna is also a great option. Don't skip dessert. They have a great lunch option where you can get a large slice and soda for $5. Meh. I heard it was good and thought I would try it. Ok, I tried it and I have no desire to go back. The toppings were fine, but the crust was too thick and chewy (it seemed more like "texas toast" bread and not really pizza crust). It was very filling though, so a 10 inch pizza should be MORE than enough to feed 4 people. Cost was a bit pricey. But for good pizza, cost should be no object. I am a big fan of pizza by the slice, so I was happy to see that Rosati's offers several pizza by the slice options from 11-2. My Chicago-style thin crust combo slice ($3.90) measured 10" L x 7.5" W and tasted great, with a good crust, plenty of toppings, a delicious sauce, and flavorful cheese. It was delicious without being greasy - nice! The side salad ($4.69) was a nice addition, with fresh and tasty mixed greens, cucumbers, grape tomatoes, red onions, shaved Asiago cheese, croutons and my choice of dressing. Delish! I found the service at the counter (no dining area) to be efficient and knowledgeable, while the takeout order was correct, and nicely packaged for transport. I ordered the Italian beef to go and it was delicious. The meat was very flavorful and juicy. The bread was soft and seasoning was great. I thought the sandwich was a good size and very filling. I think this was superior to a portillos Italian beef (iykyk). read more

Had a bad experience a long time ago while using a Groupon where they told me one thing and charged me another. I reluctantly bought the pizza at the overcharged price. When I bit into it I really enjoyed it...reluctantly lolol. Anyway i told myself I wouldn't go again because of the poor service, but I lied to myself. I kept going frequently because the pizza was good and reminded me of Chicago deep dish which now brings me to my most recent experience.... They changed the ingredients and/or the process..because I really did not enjoy my pizza whatsoever. The cruwt was extremely dry and it tasted very artificial. Honestly worse than some frozen pizzas I have had in the past which is sad. I picked up the pizza and the toppings and cheese fell right off the crust as if the cheese was a glue consistency holding the toppings. The garlic bread wasn't even good which is hard to mess up. The prices from the old menu and new menu differ as well. The new menu is more expensive as well for much worse quality. They also have less specialty pizzas on the new menu versus the old menu. The only reason for missing the 5th star is there is no dining room. I was hoping to have a beer and enjoy some pizza watching something on TV to unwind after the day's drive to Kansas City. No big deal I just asked for napkins and plastic wear explaining I was in a hotel room. The counter dude hooked me up with everything. This pizza is about as Chicago as your going to get in Kansas City. I think it was amazing the crust is crispy yet deep dish and has a nice buttery note but not greasy. The cheese is perfectly on the bottom as a Chicago Pizza should be. You're going to need a friend or two to help finish this bad boy as this was a 10" Pizza and weighed about 2.5 pounds. I've been going to Rosati's pizza since the early 1980's when I lived in Chicago. Been going to Rosati's for more than 10 years in Kansas at the college address location and the one in Overland park just highway 69 on south 151st. Great pizza and customer service from the owner to the staff. It's all pick up or delivery but the locations are always clean. My favorite is the thin crust pizza, Italian beef and sausage combos, and their pastas are delicious too. Don't forget the Chicago Style Hot Dog. Enjoy Rosati's I know that I have. read more

Good food and fast service. It was great for take out when we needed a quick meal -- portion sizes were decent and their sauce is not too sweet, which I like. I will say the salad I ordered was fine, but it did not match the description of the salad that was on the menu. Probably the closest to Chicago style cuisine in KC. They serve deep dish by the slice on Fridays. Their menu is large with things like Chicago dawgs, Italian beef Sammy's, and pizza. I would recommend their regular or veggie deep dish. It's a small area, designed for delivery or takeout but it still has that Chicago feel. The staff is always friendly, even when busy. You can get pizza as a whole or pizza by the slice. The staff is compassionate and make sure you are satisfied before you leave. One of the downfalls is the jumbo wings.
