The is a quaint little local place just on the west side of the KC metro. In full transparency - I look for 4 major things when it comes to pizza: 1- Green olives 2- Hearty, tasty sauce 3- A crust with some substance 4- Green olives KJ's has it all - including green olives! Not enough places offer green olives and this is a huge miss in my opinion. The pizza has always been ready on time and the service has been very friendly. Amazing local pizzeria. We visited this lovely place a few times while in the area and would recommend.

Cute pizza place! We had the lunch special slices for $3.50 and my favorite was the crust- so delicious! The sauce was a little salty for my taste. Next time I will order a fresh pizza instead of a slice and then I might feel differently about it. The workers were friendly, and the decor was cute as well. Every small town needs a good pizza place, and as De Soto keeps growing in the future I am sure KJ's will continue to grow as well. read more

We had a family gathering at my mom's in DeSoto and chose to order carry out from KJ's. I honestly have to say it is probably the best pizza I have had in the metro. It isn't NYC style, it isn't really any style it is just KJs style. The crust is perfect to hold any and all toppings you want but not so thick it takes away from the toppings. The cheese is smooth and stays on the pizza, it isn't stringy. The toppings are in abundance and fresh as can be. They have a very wide variety of meats and veggies as well as cheeses to choose from. We had six adults, two teen boys and two little ones. We ordered three large pizzas and two small pizzas. We had plenty of food with enough leftovers for the teens to take home for another meal. The pizza from KJs is sooooo good. My only wish is that it was a better "eat in" environment. I really don't like carry out pizza because it is never hot and fresh by the time you get it home. We've had KJs as carry out and it was delicious but I knew it would be better hot and fresh. My daughter and I came here on a Saturday evening to dine in and yes it was better hot and fresh but it doesn't really feel like they want you to eat in, if that makes sense. They were very nice but everything was in plastic (salads, dressings, etc.) and it just feels like they would rather you take the pizza and go. If the eat in experience was better we'd probably come back over and over. read more

Amazing Pizza. If you like gourmet pizza made by true artisan chef who uses all fresh homemade ingredients, then KJ's Pizzeria is the place for you. You know its fresh because they don't even have a freezer, even the dough is made fresh daily. My family and I stopped there when passing through a couple of weeks ago and the pizza was fantastic. The owners Rod and Michele Bowman are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. We liked it so much we stopped again when we came back through on our way home. Original visit: 7/8/2018 This pizza is sooo good. A little bit expensive but they load the specialty pizza down with toppings, so it's pretty good value for the money. Took ~10 minutes for my 8" pizza to cook, which is about what I was expecting. (My friend's 12" took ~15 minutes.) I got The Farmer, and that sucker had so many toppings! They don't skimp out on the chicken either. One of the pizzeria's unique menu items is the option for gluten-free crust. It's not outrageously expensive like it would be at other pizza places either. GF 10" 1 topping = $11.95 Regular 12" 1 topping = $11.95 They seem to really care about their customers - another family's wait was a little longer than ours and the employee offered free samples of the soup while they waited. The decor is fine - nothing spectacular. The entire place only seats 28 people inside, but there is also outdoor seating. A little high-end for my taste, but the food speaks for itself.
