Service was nearly immediate when we walked in and our drinks were filled as quickly. So the restaurant nails food and service, but the first thing I noticed, however, is the atmosphere. My daughter said it reminded her of Wall-E's home. Some will love this eclectic ambiance some may hate it. The real issue is the broken down nature of so many items (Bathroom fixtures, games, and alcohol cooler). It gave me pause. Glad I stayed. On closer look this place is great for families with kids. Many tables have TV's, which work out well while you wait for the pizza's to cook. So I will give this place four stars but only because of the state of the environment. I recommend you try this place and hope management can improve first impressions so they don't lose customers before they discover the great flavor.

Even with so many toppings, the pizza tasted fantastic, way better than any other pizza place in the city.And the best part? It only cost around $11 (before tax)! What more could I ask for? For a long time, life simply cruised by in DeSoto Kansas- almost literally the only reason to stop on the downtown drag was to go to the public library or post office. KJ's is in a small town with few restaurants. With KJ's on the main drag, there is now reason to stop, relax, and eat the best pizza in KC. The crust is made to a delicate level of crunchiness and sponginess. Unexpected flavors pop in each each bite. Each pizza made is an with an artful combination of flavors. The outside seating offers a new way to see the town and enjoy an evening. I am gong back! read more

This pizza is absolutely PHENOMENAL. I can easily say it is the best I've ever had. The crust is the perfect thickness, crispness and somehow also manages to be airy. The toppings and cheese were so fresh and it was all cooked to perfection. Excellent pizza! Very friendly staff! Love their homemade dough that's aged, which makes it very unique. They remodeled the old Outpost Building in downtown Desoto and it has a special charm about it. They have a very unique selection of pizzas, fbut my favorite will always be the Lite-n-up. read more

My brother was given a drink refill, I not only wasn't given one but was never even asked if I wanted another drink (my glass was empty for awhile). We were done but our server was no where to be found.
