Such a fun spot inside of ROKC in case you're in the mood to do a little rock climbing! Stopped in on a quiet Wednesday morning (conveniently located next to the DMV). Ample parking and seating. Free wifi- they also serve pastries and hot food dishes. Some pastries made in house, others are Mr D's and Skratch Bakery. I really enjoyed my coffee option- they have great creative flavors! Only downfall was no skim milk, but I know it's not as popular :) The barista was very friendly and familiar with their menu.

Great atmosphere, great hours, not common to have a coffee shop blended into a restaurant to be open until 9pm. Got my coffee fix as am in Olathe for 7 nights on a love story (long story) mission to give moral support to my boyfriend who is going through a lot, to the point of him asking 3 weeks back for time off from us even after a wonderful year together. Am digressing but good to tell of my disposition when I came to Apogee looking for a good vanilla latte. The staff was very friendly and walked the latte to hand to me, service a 5 for sure. Ambiance is a 4, different folks come for different reasons - mingling, pizza late night, parents waiting for their kids, then an adjacent open area leading to the sports (?) complex next door that had rock climbing apparatus. Semi chaotic ambiance, can't even pinpoint whether it's touristy or divey or romantic!?? Thank you Kansas for your warm welcome, neat business concept.

The coffee shop is attached to the rock climbing gym, people do walk around barefoot in the portions of the coffee shop area. Coffee itself was good, not bad not great. Impressed with the vegan breakfast burrito! Plenty of seating, coffee came out quick, overall average experience Vegan friendly

The Yelpers were on point again. This is a solid spot. I knew I'd love it when I saw the sign that said "coffee pizza beer!" All my favorite things in one spot. Yes, please. It's a cool vibe on the inside. It's next door to a RoKC which probably gets a good corn from there. They have cocktails, food, breakfast, snacks, milk alternatives and gf and veggie options Today I got a latte with oat milk and whiskey caramel syrup. It was good. Got some protein bites. Those were really good. The pizza looked delish. Will have to try on my next visit. Service was prompt and friendly. If you live in Olathe this is a must stop.

Traveling through Kansas and looking for a great climbing place and stopped at ROKC. Well they have this pizza place/bar Apogee in side with outside seating. The team that works here has always been helpful and attentive to the customers from watching. Has sitting inside and a little four table gated porch area that when the weather is nice just brings an even better experience. Started with getting the peanut butter balls and homemade pop tarts (made locally) when started coming here, very tasty and great snack as the team has mentioned to help with after workout or quick little breakfast. Tried the baked chicken wings this past week and the flavor was on point but today the pizza was wow... The Hawaiian pizza had great flavor and the pineapple is not basic pineapple and with the bacon adds extra flavor especially if you enjoy bacon then the candies jalapeños just wow. Be awesome if they could deliver to Las Vegas.

We were in the area and decided to stop in and get a beverage based on the good reviews. We were disappointed to say the least. We went to the front counter and were behind another customer and when he left, the barista just walked off and never said a word. She was apparently ending her shift but it would have been nice to tell the next customers that. So after the other barista finished making a beverage for the previous customer he walked over and was not welcoming or friendly either. When I asked about what types of syrups they had for lattes and any choice of sugar free, he answered with a somewhat snarky reply about how they don't do artificial and they only had lavender/honey or vanilla bean. That's fine but the attitude didn't have to come with it and most coffee shops have syrups/flavorings so it's not unusual to ask! Quite a few of the empty tables needed to be cleaned as well. The trash was full and the cushioned chairs were stained in the next room. So the vibe was not good and the service was rude. The only good thing was the coffee was good and the tea. But we won't be coming back based on the experience which is important as well.

Yes, that is real moss on the wall.

For all you rock climbing enthusiasts, you won't have to go far to find great refreshments and food. You can visit RoKC to scale the tall wall and then stop into Apogee without even leaving the building. Lots of places are doing great pizza and maybe craft beer, but not every place is doing very well at both. Throw in the fact that Apogee is creating hand-crafted cocktails and kegging them up, and your afternoon or evening has all the makings of enjoyment. Drew was working the front end of the house during our visit, and he could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. I opted for an Irish Feather, Apogee's take on a horsefeather, and it was a spectacular cocktail. I talked to my wife into trying the Paloma, which is a grapefruit margarita that is finished with smoked mescal. The drink was a touch powerful (it was the smoke) for her tastes, so Drew, everpresent, hooked her up with a Paloma sans the smoke and she was ever so happy. The pizza was just right, crust holds the toppings, sauce to the edges, and cooked all the way through. That pizza had to weight three pounds, and two slices is ample for most appetites! It was more than enough to share and then split with a to-go box. Pro tip: Apogee's pizza is really good the next day, and anyone who went to college knows that next-day pizza varies greatly. Do your eats and dranks pre-climb or post, or just stop in for a beer (the local menu is well-represented) or coffee in the working adult hours. Apogee, by the very definition of the word, is 'the highest point in the development of something', and this place is *really* close to that pinnacle.

Second time in and as a customer I felt ignored, undervalued, and left frustrated without finishing one beer and leaving ZERO tip (which I literally never do). The customer service was non-existent. The young gal behind the bar was definitely capitalizing on her looks with the older gentlemen at the bar, who were obviously regulars by the rapport between them and the staff. The menu is small and unappealing and the beer selection even smaller. Their regulars can keep enjoying because I highly doubt they will be able to retain any new clientele. Tipping from me- typically between 20%-100% or my total bill. You never know who you are serving, lesson- treat every person that comes in front of you as a valuable guest!

Really lovely little spot, conveniently right next to my dogs daycare! They have tons of draft beers, many a whiskey, and I hear also coffee??? Did a take out order of their goat cheese and arugula, and added some sausage. I came in a little early to scope the place out, and was met with really hospitable and apologetic wait staff because my pizza wasn't ready, despite the fact that I arrived 5 minutes earlier than what the order told me to do! Was offered something to drink immediately. Everyone who was dining in seemed to enjoy their food. I did notice that their menu in the establishment was quite bigger than the online menu! Really flavorful and sweet sauce, good amount of toppings. We loved that the crust came seasoned, so it was also yummy to eat!

This is SO GOOD. The pizza is to die for. The place is cute and cozy and the best part is it's attached to ROKC so you can sweat like nobodys business for a few hours then roll in here and getcha some yummy pizza. The pizza crust is super buttery and delicious. We went with two other couples and just split 3 pizzas. Ended up with a supreme pizza, pepperoni Anddd a white sauce pizza. All were absolutely fantastic!!! Service was on point. Food came out fast. We will definitely stop back in - even if it's just for food.

Stopped in last Saturday for lunch. First time at this fine spot. My group had a large all meat pizza and small goat cheese pizza. The all meat was phenomenal with what I would consider a medium crust. Crust and toppings very tasty. The goat cheese was average. We didn't order any coffee or beer but it looked like they had a bunch of nice options along with homemade pastries. I will return to enjoy the pizza again. Reasonable prices. Restaurant is in between a rock climbing place and retail clothing store.

They've always got a good prairie artisan ale.

Apogee is such a fun spot. They are great for a morning cup of joe and a doughnut or for a beer and some pizza. They have an excellent beer selection. Always a friendly face behind the bar.

Don't be weirded out that this place is attached to a rock climbing gym lol! Went for a late lunch with my mom and brother and we all really enjoyed our pizza and cheesy bread. Seems very homemade. Service was excellent.

It's a big menu and almost all of it is in Spanish. So I went with what Genevieve our server recommended. The chicken breast with onions and peppers. It's sounds plain but it was full of flavor and served with black beans and rice. I substituted plantains for tostones. The tostones were meh. My dinner companion ordered the chimichurri steak. It also came with black beans, white rice and plantains. She said it was delicious. They also serve paella - which I really wanted to try but they entree is for 2 or more. Some of the fish items are kinda spendy. But the other meat items are in the $20 or less range. In addition to soda and lemonade, they serve margaritas and beer. I ordered a skinny margarita and it tasted watered down. So next time I'll ask for no ice. For dessert we tried the churros. Not bad. The service was great. I'll definitely come back to try some of the seafood entrees.

I was content to smoke on my back patio by myself, but a good friend asked me to join him and I agreed. First off, it's a cool building with a lot of history. It used to be a garage, probably built in the 1910's or 20's, so very rustic. The owners put a lot of thought into it, from the specially made leather chairs, some huge, some diminutive so you don't have to feel like you're in one of those chairs at Silver Dollar City that everybody gets their picture taken in, to the special glass, HVAC, Humidor, etc... you can tell this was a labor of love.
