This was my first time in here and I was impressed! It's very pretty and dark/romantic. I only stopped in for a drink, and it was great (Cupid Crush). The service was fabulous, I felt appreciated for being there. I'm not a smoker, but the cigar smoke didn't bother me (nothing like cigarette smoke) from next door. I like the concept and overheard that you can order drinks from the cigar bar via QR code and they will bring them over to you. Unless you know it's there, you won't likely stumble into it. It's located in a strip mall next to Minsky's pizza, but it's very nice when you walk in. I can't wait to take my boyfriend back to enjoy a drink together!

We came on a Friday night for drinks, and I have to say, it's exciting to see Olathe (south Olathe even!) have a cocktail bar! We love going out for a good, craft drink without having to drive all the way down town. Arriving on a Friday night, we were able to grab a spot with some ease. It was definitely busy, a lot of the tables in front were filled, as was over half the bar. We grabbed a pair of lounge chairs around the bar area. Our drinks were solid. We are both cocktail people and found drinks that spoke to us with ease. I had a seasonal drink, A Warm Winter's Night. It was tasty! I would have liked a little less sweet and a little more bourbon taste, but still yummy! My husband had the quaint old fashioned - a classic. He liked the balance of flavor and said the heat of the rye wasn't too much! Definitely a few more drinks that caught my eye, so I'd love to go back. I will say it did take an awhile for us to be greeted. The space is a seat yourself, so no one takes you to a spot. But being right near the bar, with staff walking by constantly, it took a long time to be greeted and get menus, and then another bit before we were able to order. We did notice a few couples who sat after us get orders in first. On the flip side, it did seem like there were several regulars at the bar, which we love to see. We would definitely visit again, just maybe sit at the bar or near the front to see if that changes our service experience!

We were seated on time at a table next to the bar-side of the dining room. Speaking of the dining room, it's a nice, if standard size for a strip-mall space, but I really appreciated that the tables were not stacked on top of each other, as seems to be the case at more and more places these days. It felt like there might be some chance of our entire conversation not being completely overheard by our neighbors, which was nice for a change! Our waitress was fantastic! She walked us through the menu, the restaurant's approach to cooking and seasonality, some of her faves, and made wonderful recommendations! We decided to split a few small plates, which was a great approach! We got to try about 1/3 of the small plate menu, and loved it all! It was all great, but the Black Cardamom Burnt Ends are NOT to be missed! It made my cardamom-loving, Midwest soul very, very happy indeed! The space is a really nice size - not massive or overwhelming - and with the shades drawn down (to seal out the late afternoon sun, thank goodness!) and dim lighting, the mood vibes were solid for a romantic anniversary dinner! The other ambiance item of note is that the restroom corridor smelled absolutely fantastic! Upon investigation, it was due to a burning candle from a lovely local-KC company that was custom made for the restaurant! Yes, they're for sale, and yes, we picked up two! While everything was lovely and the food was very good, you're definitely paying a high price for it. Not that it's not deserved, but the "value" feels aren't necessarily "off the charts", by any means. And that is really my only critique, if there is any at all! We walked in and it reminded me of a hometown butcher shop. They had a variety of meats, cheeses, condiments, wine & other food related items. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is a cozy place. You can get things to go or just eat there. We ate there I got the Reuben sandwich. Is it the best one in the area? I don't know as I have not been to every place in the area who offers a Reuben. However, it is the best one I have eaten. The sandwich was perfectly maid. The bread was a marble rye, not to thin and thick enough to hold together as you ate it. For the cheese you had a choice of Swiss or Gouda. I went with the Swiss. The sandwich was warmed up just enough to nicely melt the cheese. They make their own corn beef, which you can buy there as well. They had other things that they make themselves, like stuff mushrooms, which looked really good. The corn beef was excellent. With all that said, be prepared to pay $20 for that sandwich. Expensive, but I would say worth it. We also got one of their lunch specials. It was a 4" sub, chips and a soda for $10. As my wife said, it was just okay. However, we are biased towards one local sandwich shop which has great sub bread. This sandwich was good, however the bread was just okay.

Here's what I didn't like...the service was super slow even though the restaurant wasn't busy and the server didn't apologize for the delays. The ambiance is lacking. It definitely gives "I was formally a sports bar that was hap hazardly put together to try to pass off as an upscale restaurant." It feels cold and unwelcoming in a way. The music over head was barely audible adding to the sterile feel of the space. So bottom line for me, I liked the food well enough, but with the ambiance and service lacking, I won't return.

Saw lots of couples - maybe this a the local date night spot?? Popped in on a Saturday evening. No reservation needed. Started with the garlic bread and chicken samosas. Both were delish. The samosas were stuffed full of chicken. The green sauce was tasty too. Lots of seafood, chicken, beef and pork entrees. I was not familiar with some of the fish entrees. It's a big menu and almost all of it is in Spanish. So I went with what Genevieve our server recommended. The chicken breast with onions and peppers. It's sounds plain but it was full of flavor and served with black beans and rice. I substituted plantains for tostones. The tostones were meh. My dinner companion ordered the chimichurri steak. It also came with black beans, white rice and plantains. She said it was delicious. They also serve paella - which I really wanted to try but they entree is for 2 or more. Some of the fish items are kinda spendy. But the other meat items are in the $20 or less range. In addition to soda and lemonade, they serve margaritas and beer. I ordered a skinny margarita and it tasted watered down. So next time I'll ask for no ice. For dessert we tried the churros. Not bad. The service was great. I'll definitely come back to try some of the seafood entrees.

Their ramen bowls come with standard ingredients and anything else you want is à la carte to add including an egg. Now that surprised me. My ramen had spicy chicken, spinach, bean sprouts and green onion. Both the spicy creamy shrimp and our table shared crispy chicken had flavors that met expectations. It wasn't very spicy so I added in some of the complimentary sauces in little jars on the table: seasoning sauce , gyoza sauce and hot sauce
