All of our food was very good. We had four entrees of maple bourbon glazed burnt ends and they were very good. Our appetizers were very good also.

I tried this place as a recommendation from my boss at DKH. The restaurant itself is very pretty & its eye catching as you drive by it. The best thing about this place is the prices- they are EXTREMELY REASONABLE. Most places charge $35-$60 for a filet mignon steak- but this place you can get one for around $28-$30 so of course I ordered one and it was pretty good! The perfect amount of seasoning. So if you're a fan or filet or steak in general- definitely give this place a try. They have a pretty expansive menu! So depending on what you're in the mood for- they have a great variety! I also ordered a seasonal sangria with my meal- which was extremely strong- and had more of a strong Liquor taste than a relaxed wine taste- so depending on your preferences- you may want to order something else as it didn't remind me of sangria all that much. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The ambiance was pretty nice. The building itself is large and accommodating (I think they also have banquets/events on the other side). The location was easy to find & was nice/convenient! If you're contemplating trying this place, don't hesitate and just give it a try!

The bench seating was very comfortable, though some of the tabletops were pretty tall and all wood, so maybe not the easiest to sit at for a while. The restaurant has an extensive menu, but when I saw the pitmaster section I knew I had to try some of that. As an appetizer there were potato skins with pulled pork. Wow, these are not the wizened, come from a frozen box, potato skins. These were large, brimming with flavor and cheese. From the pit was brisket and ribs. Each came with corn bread, one with fries, the other with mac and cheese. Corn bread, so good, nice grainy texture, not a baked sugar slurry like you can find elsewhere, up here in the north. The brisket is super tender, doesn't need much sauce because it's packing all that natural and smoke flavor. The ribs are not dainty. You're going to be getting in here with your hands, like proper ribs eating. I'm so unused to that, and it resulted in me bringing half the rack home because a half rack was so filling. The edges of the ribs were dry, but all the interior was pull apart tender and delectable. Again, only needing a touch of their homemade sauce. The fries were robust but still crispy and seasoned well. The mac was the only miss for me. Too toothsome and not much flavor. Because they also do wood fired pizza, I got a cheese with ricotta to go. I'm not sure I ever need their pizza again. The crust was thin but not very crispy except on the cornicione, which had a lot of herbs sprinkled on it. The sauce disappeared, flavor wise, and so did the cheese blend. Side notes - I know everything has gotten crazy expensive, but the prices here took me aback. $16 for three pieces of bacon? Also, the 10% military discount was only applied to my ribs, but nothing else, so I'm happy they have one but it may only be applied to your food and non alcoholic drinks on Tuesdays and Fridays during their specific windows.

Service is great, very attentive and friendly. The food is what earns this three stars. I tried a stuffie, German onion soup, a Farmhouse burger, and a key lime Mason jar. The stuffie was a little small, and most of the flavor was imparted by the ham and the squeeze of lemon. The German onion soup, I'm not sure why it was German except to not be French? Outside the name difference, the onions were way too large, and there was a total lack of flavor going on in the soup. The crock was very large too. The burger and fries looked pretty good, and I enjoyed the flavors here. The fries were rough hewn, so there was good crispness from all the edges. The toppings of the burger, and the bun, were also hearty. Unfortunately, my medium rare burger was more like raw meat with surface browning. I'm a big fan of rare steak, but ground beef needs a little more cooking. Also, the house made ketchup is really more of a marinara sauce. If I'd ended up eating more of my plate before they took it away to re-fire the burger, I would have asked to replace the ketchup. The key lime Mason jar was e everything you want to wrap up a meal. Great flavor, lightness, citrus. I did have to bring most of it home but, unlike the burger they brought back in a box, I'm excited to get back into the key lime. From an accessibility stand point, there is no ramp to get in nor handicap parking, so the evidently don't want your business. Once you're in, there are some seats you could get in, but if this place were full it would be difficult to navigate for anyone. The bathroom is a single room, but very spacious and nice. So, mixed bag for access. Your mileage may vary, but I'm not racing to return.

Went back to check out how the quality is after not going there in a long time…read more Seated myself and was greeted quickly by a very pleasant server. There was a good selection of specials that day but I settled on the beer battered fish and chips and the clam chowder. Clam chowder came quickly and it was a bit of a disappointment. It really should have been labeled potato chowder because that's what it mostly was comprised of. Very pieces of clam and the seasoning wasn't that great. Not sure there would be another order the next time I go to the restaurant. The fish and chips was the star of the visit. Fish had a nice light coating of batter, very crunchy and flavorful. As always the cod was incredibly fresh and flaky and well fried. The fries were also very crunchy and held their crunch throughout the whole meal. This is definitely a dish that will be ordered again. The seating is comfortable but it is an old style restaurant, think of going out to dinner with Mom and Dad in the 60's but don't let that put you off trying this establishment.

The ambiance inside is nice. The dining room to the left of the entrance contains many booths and…read morelooks to be updated in the recent past. Very nice. To the right of the entrance is a bar with high-top seating and an older dining room w/tables, Windsor style chairs and carpeted floors beyond the bar. A selection of country music played softly in the background. This is most definitely a 'local' spot. There were plenty of customers who know each other. They are very comfortable with the staff and each other. Pro top: If you are easily offended by 'salty' language, I recommend you sit in the dining room to the left of the entrance - furthest away from the bar. A hostess seated us with menu's, took our drink order, delivered it, then let us know our server would be with us soon. I watched the bartender making my drink and I'm not sure she actually knew what she was doing and the drink tasted that way so maybe it was something they don't normally prepare. Pro tip #2: The on-tap beer price is good. When our server arrived they were very no-nonsense (curt? brief? concise?). We both ordered entrees and chose mashed potatoes as a side. We were asked if we wanted gravy which was confusing because one of the entrees was fish and I couldn't imagine gravy on fish. It was for the mashed potatoes of course. Duh. So pro tip number 3: no matter what the protein, gravy is available for your mash. Although our soup and salad were immediately delivered to the table, we waited quite a while for our entrée to appear. After about twenty minutes or so (? could be less, could be more, not watching the clock, but we had an idea of when we arrived) I noticed our server walking by the table noticed no food. They went back into the kitchen and returned immediately with our meals. They were luke-warm and the fish had a 'hard' top. Not sure if it was under a heat lamp, but definitely had been sitting somewhere for a bit before arriving at our table. Knowing I'm not in the kitchen or do the ordering, here's a few things we noticed about our meal. The side salad was fresh and cold with a couple of green pepper strips, onion, cucumber and dressing served in a plastic container on the side. Nice option. The soup of the day was very much like a condensed version you can buy at the market. The pot roast does not appear to be the type of roast you purchase at the meat counter and throw in the over (or crock pot). It was more like a loaf of meat-pressed together bits. The texture was wrong. The spice on the Cajun salmon had a good level of spice. Mashed potatoes had large chunks of potato and little seasoning. The gravy looks like it comes from a jar. Based on taste and texture, I wouldn't be surprised if the pie came from a box. The drink prices are good, and most of the regulars were sitting at the bar, not eating. There was one large party that was eating so much food! Fish and chips, pasta, soup and way more. So clearly they have their fans. This is a case of know thyself.

With good reviews and a cool menu we dropped in and couldn't have been happier! We were pretty lucky as it was not that busy and we were able to get a table right away. The decor is eclectic and interesting. The staff came with a great smile and even better attitude; absolutely top notch! We started w the pretzels and beer cheese. Holy 6 pound baby Jesus they were good. They came out piping hot and the cheese was in a bubbling side dish. This isn't your typical dab of cheese in a plastic condiment container that is commonplace nowadays. I had the Arturo Sandoval (spin on a Cuban) as my entree and it was also fabulous and came out hot. If I was being critical, the pork was a wee bit dry, but that happens sometimes and it really didn't take away from the sando. Even the small side of pasta salad was outstanding. I'm lucky if I eat sides like that 1/100 times and this one I couldn't wait to finish. Great vibe, great staff, great food, and live music almost every day. Definitely gonna go back and if it's just as good will update to 5 stars.
