It Is 5:10am, Tuesday, August 17, 2021. I am stuck in Baltimore, MD Greyhound Terminal. There are two buses that I be had to switch three to four times, yet still have not left Baltimore, MD.I tried to call customer service, but it was unavailable, unless you send an email that takes 24/48hrs to review. I called the bus schedule line, and every person I talked to neglected to help me. I talk to a representative name Carlos (3006262) and he told me that I was supposed to transfer in Richmond, VA. My schedule has nothing to do with a transfer in Richmond. He literally lied about me schedule while I was looking at it on my phone. I called again and talked to Via (3609174), and she described the same schedule as on my phone. However, she refused to go any further with assistance. DO NOT USE GREYHOUND AT NIGHT. This is my first time taking a bus and my last. The bus we got on from DC to NYC was the most prehistoric form of transport I have ever been on. I have been in wind up cars newer than the bus I rode. The whole bus smells like a public toilet and there is engine soot covering all the paneling. I feared for the safety oh all the passengers as the rattling of the engine shooketh the bus. Oh and the wifi didnt work and neither did the power outlets. read more

Terrible customer service. Call service number and placed in hold status for over 15 minutes. When finally connected the customer service representative apparently thought a person arriving at the destination was the same as baggage arriving. Finally the customer service represented provided a number to the Baltimore station. Called the number, and placed on hold for 15 minutes to get a voicemail message. This station and bus will never recieve money from me again. I was in complete utterance as I arrived to the station at 3:20 am for my 3:40 bus ticket I bought two weeks prior. Along with 17 other individuals and was told that the bus was only able to take 2 people and the bus driver had already chosen the people. Not only was the bus driver completely rude but she had acted in no surprise as if this happens often. With the frustration of not understanding how Greyhound was able to scam customers into purchasing tickets knowing they over sold the bus was completely unprofessional and with a company with such standards, I refuse to ever purchase from them again. Luckily I had a car and money to drive myself to New York for my sisters Bridal Shower (in which I was the maid of honor). What if I didn't? You have people that spend over $100.00 to ride this bus and the type of service and nonchalant as all of us panicked is unacceptable. The staff insisted there's nothing they could do and really showed that they didn't care. The refund was processed but I was told it take 3-5 business days to get back to me and I could not use it to get on another bus. So it's Saturday and I took my daughter to the bus stop in Annapolis bus 3559 to the eastern shore. It's now 522 for a bus that was to arrived at 230 and according to the web site the bus has never left Baltimore. Delayed it says. The chat for info said so sorry no info call a number in new Carrollton md. I do. It's a fax number that makes a fax noise and in any case an unmanned kiosk outside the train station that I have gone to before. So there is no one to ask what the heck is going on and where is the bus and will it ever come. Tomorrow? Never? Unreal. So third world. Welcome to greyhound. Do not rely on them for anything. March 30. Update The tracker showed delayed until after 5 then suddenly it had left Baltimore st 549 but was in the eastern shore at 3!!! Insane. Do not trust greyhound. Who will make this right? Worst bus company ever. I will give this 0 star or negative stars if i could. Bus rides have always been at least 30 minutes late, with a couple being delayed 1-2 hours between Baltimore and NYC. One instance from Baltimore, the bus was scheduled to depart at 9pm from Baltimore to NYC but was later delayed one hour. Then Greyhound decided to cancel the 9pm Baltimore bus without any regards (explanation was they wanted to use the bus to pick up passengers at DC due to another issue). Now the paid passengers at the Baltimore station are left stranded at 10pm. Customer service was rude and awful - it was one of the worst experiences. Have been disappointed with every ride. Never travel with Greyhound. read more

They told me before getting into the bus " if you sit down quietly I might let you on The bus, if you don't I might not let you leave at all today, its your choice." Then another girl threatened me saying " I'm about to get off work in 2 minutes" insinuating that she wanted to start a fight with me....smh When I was leaving another bus was departing and the Greyhound worker started fighting a customer!! Be carful, and take self defense before coming here, you just might have to fight for your life to get on a bus. This location seemed new. Even late at night (circa 10pm when our bus pulled in), it was bustling with people. The building is clean and brightly lit inside and out, and there is adequate signage to tell you where to go. The area is still in a rough part of Baltimore but on the grounds itself I felt safe and unthreatened. I felt that it was a good location for picking up and dropping off passengers, right off 95 and 295 and close enough to downtown that if you lived downtown you could walk, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle (aka vehicle and foot traffic) of the Inner Harbor area. read more

There is one sign in the parking lot about your car getting towed after an hour and it's hidden behind an electrical box. The parking lot is half an acre and we parked in the back lot and after we came back at the end of the day from New York our cars were towed and the fines were $360 each car. We were not informed of this and none of us saw the very conveniently place sign. Please fix this issue these charges are beyond unnecessary and we are stranded outside the station as it just closes (bus returned 40 min late) . read more

Greyhound is HORRIBLE organization. The staff is rude and unhelpful. A staff member said that my wife needed to put her bag underneath the bus. However, the bag was a carry on and unchecked. It was because that staff member that my wife's bag went missing went we got to New York City. Oh, I forgot to mention! The bus was an hour and a half late. I am pleasantly surprised. This terminal is the best terminal I've seen. That's not saying much. I take it this terminal is less than five years old. Here's what's different about this terminal. 1. The bathrooms aren't bad. 2. The seats are soft in the waiting area. No sitting on metal here! 3. By Baltimore standards, it's in a decent neighborhood. And as usual, the buses themselves suck. Cramped and dirty. A bunch of wackos, bums and degenerates on the bus. Very expensive, time consuming, inconvenient, dangerous way to travel. read more

Worst experience ever. Arrived much earlier than expected and wanted to board an earlier bus. It was pretty much EMPTY, we're talking 30% of its capacity. Lady wouldn't let me board while making a face, as if she has something personal against me. The kiosk lady - same attitude. wouldn't let me change the ticket, wanted me to purchase a whole new ticket. They're wasting my time and giving me a hell of an attitude while at it. Once again, I got an extremely bad experience with the webpage design and the staff who handle phone calls online. For blaming a customer, the staff is ill-trained. Also, UX/UI for the website was also designed poorly after you chose a date and logged in, it automatically redirect you back to the "cheapest" option default. Richmond, VA greyhound terminal HORRIBLE!! I would NEVER RECOMMEND. My 6:50 bus was late causing me to miss my next bus at the next destination. The agent at the terminal was nice enough to put me on another bus leaving at 12:30 but didn't tell me i needed a whole new ticket for that new bus, causing the driver to tell me to go back inside to get another ticket then leaving me. The agent then tells me that the next bus doesn't come until 8:45. I completely understand that times do change, but it's the fact that the driver didn't even wait 5 minutes for a handful of us to get a new bus ticket. On top of that, this is all happening durning a pandemic. There was no hand sanitizer, no soap in the bathroom, no tissue in any of the 8 stalls, and dead roaches on the bathroom floor. What was the icing on the cake for me was the fact that the agent told me the next bus comes at 8:45 but at 6am they were calling passengers for a bus going to the same place i was, when i asked to switch and why i wasn't aware of this i was told that she was only told that 3 people got left behind.... 8 people got left behind. read more

On May 7th, 2022 I decided I wanted to visit my family after 6 months of being away. So I went about trying to get a ticket. The lady at the front desk was unbearable. She was rude, obnoxious and completely unprofessional. I calmly told her that I am a combat veteran and wanted a discount if there was one. So I showed her my VA ID and not only did she say there was no discount she also said to me and I quote " I do not care what you did for this racist ass country. " and once I purchased the ticket not only did they not tell me the bus arrived she made me pay an extra 40 dollars. And what's even crazier is that I told her I miss my family. She said and I quote is not that I don't care is that it's not my problem. And I completely understand that it isn't. But when did common courtesy or being respectful become so scarce. I get that the world is cold but do we really have to treat each other that way? I proud myself on reminding every person I come across that the world isn't as bad as it seems. But when I come across workers that not only refuse to help but make the objective a gruelling , arduos and hellacious experience. I question myself what did I fight for when I was in the United States Army? Is that the true American dream? Just a dream? A fictitious idea? A macabre of horrid hallucinations? Up to NYC and back in one day; Greyhound delivered. We left a few minutes late but the station team kept everyone informed. Nice trip up and we were able to hit the MD travel center for a quick stop. Arrived at Port Authority and had time for lunch before our show. Pouring rain when we got out; I was worried that the weather would impact our return.... no need for concern. Our return driver was courteous and efficient and even with the announcement in NY saying that all inbound and outbound travel was being impacted by the storms, we arrived 1 minute early at 10:39 back in Baltimore. The ONLY issues were: bus up... plug did not work and could not use phone charger. Bus down... the rain made its way they the roof hatch and dripped on me for an hour. ( but I was already wet, so... no worries) Haven't been on a bus in over 20 years and I was impressed. Nice job Greyhound! read more

This is the worst place on earth, I am writing this review after witnessing the manager of this place fight a customer . He needs to be fired, Let me say this is the second time I have witness employees from this station threaten customers and talk to customers in a very rude manner, the employees are always ready to challenge customers and be so rude . I am not one to advocate for people to be fired but in this case they need to review current policies and make changes . Customers should not be afraid for employees. read more

If you actually want to get anywhere on the bus you booked, make sure you are the first one in line, or aggressively pushing your way through the line boarding and find your seat, because this company habitually over books by at least 10 people for their buses; this was confirmed by various staff members at the stop (ignore the fact that they had TWO buses going up to the same place at the same time, and yet somehow they STILL overbooked). My friend was going up to New York, and went to store his bag under the bus, only to find that even though he had been in the middle of the line, because he went to store his baggage, he was without a seat. There were at least 10 others who were blocked off the bus, and the staff (for the most part) were very unapologetic (and as much as it was irritating, I can't say I blame them: they must go through this multiple times a day because of the poor administration choices). One of the staff said that the bus had been FULL since early in the morning, but they just kept on letting people book. Well. I have to say, it must be a very profitable system... For now. The CEO is getting 100% boarding rate on majority of his buses, and there's really NO way he's not going to have those buses filled, just because a few people did not show up. Even if a few people do not show up, there are still half a dozen people who are going to be booted off the bus. The only thing they will do is to threaten to arrest you after calling security (who has a POLICE neon shirt on, which I think is illegal? you can't just walk around claiming to be a police man and threatening, "I'll lock you up, I don't give a shit"?), and offer you the option of taking the midnight bus (which may or may not be overbooked again) or offering a refund. Nothing more. Because my friend needed to get up to NYC that evening, we had to go to Amtrak and pay for a $150 ticket to get up there, since getting back to the city at 4AM was not really an option with early mornings. And honestly, it's not even the staff's fault (as rude as they could be)- they don't have the authority or power or voice to do anything. It's the administration that decides on these bad practices. And the only people, it seems, that have the power to potentially change anything are the consumers. Needless to say, we will not be using Greyhound again. Although this was only the second Greyhound station I'd ever been inside, it was exactly how I imagined every bus station in the country looked. In fact, the physical layout of the place was so familiar I wasn't sure whether I was experiencing deja vu or just remembering the many Lego sets I had constructed as a child. I was a little scared of this place when we approached it from the freeway. But it's relatively clean considering it's a bus station, and there were enough people around both times I had to wait here that I never felt like I was in physical danger. The ticket people are OK. Before my trip back to DC, I was slightly annoyed that I had to wait for this guy to finish his crossword puzzle or jumble before he could tell me definitively whether I had the correct ticket. No place to print tickets which were supposed to be print at home tickets (i agree that I should have printed that at home, but I was hoping tht in emergency they will either accept my pdf on my smartphone or assisnt me with printing, with a small charge if required. My sisters and I went to Atlantic City with Greyhound, going was great very nice driver seating was great. After a couple of fun days there, the return trip home was a nightmare. I called the customer service the night before to make sure we had the correct time and where was the first pick up going back to Maryland. They agent give me the wrong information and the wrong time. My sister was in a wheelchair. We were stuck in the Greyhound terminal for 9 hours, the bus never came to the terminal. I called customer service the agent said I can't take complaints over the phone. I was very upset, we paid for tickets on a return trip home at a certain time my one sister was very uncomfortable in that wheelchair. The terminal agents was very nice and apologetic, but i feel that customer service should be better informed on the schedules and times of their transportation read more

She was extremely loud, overly obnoxious, and annoying as fuck to say the very least.... - Her driving sucked. I feared for my life. - Luggage is NOT handled with care. Unless you stand there and watch them handle your stuff; chances are it will be tossed underneath with little consideration of your valuables inside. To avoid this, simply place your own stuff under the bus. That's what I did to give myself a piece of mind. My husband went and got on the bus first to save us some seats, and I waited behind to put my stuff in last since I had some breakable items in my bag.... - Not many food options at this bus stop. My best advice is to bring your own snacks to avoid inflated prices of small snacks and sandwiches. - Nothing was on time. I get the holiday season and traffic, but this was a bit ridiculous on the wait. 3 buses were behind schedule with ours being the most minimum delay of 50 minutes. When I was going to Ocean City Maryland. My transfer was at Baltimore Maryland Greyhound station. Even I been here once and found that no one to help me. Until one of the bus driver staff came up to me for the wheelchair lift of the bus. They only have vending machine. No McDonalds no food court. The way it look I only what to direct run with no transfer. I use to use the downtown station. I enjoy KFC and more. The way it go I don't what to use this station again. I try to avoid this place as much as possible but sometimes getting to White Marsh to make the Megabus back to Philadelphia or New York is just unreasonable. The benefits to the Greyhound is the location in Philadelphia, Chinatown, and that the prices on its Greyhound Express service typically are now cheaper than traveling on Megabus. I would say that it's probably best you go on Megabus because you will have a guaranteed seat, and Greyhound (unless your trip originates in Philadelphia) will not be the case. GET THERE EARLY. We got their thirty minutes ahead of time and were two of nine people who got on the bus (of a total of like 25 or so). I definitely would not recommend using Greyhound unless it's substantially cheaper than the aforementioned Megabus or Bolt Bus. Avoid Fridays and Sundays at all costs. read more

Obviously not possible to have less than one star but you should know that this the rating Greyhound deserves. I've taken many Greyhound buses over about 8 years so my experience is not a one-off. They are consistently late, drivers will simply not show up randomly and it takes hours for searching for a new one, customer service is trash. Ordering tickets via phone will lead to wrong orders (like not just wrong times but wrong DAY booked), lost tickets, no refunds. Buses are filthy, outlets that are nonfunctioning, bathrooms that exceed the definition of grime and sewage smell. Forget wifi. All for tickets that end up costing $80-100 round trip for NY-MD?? Even megabus matches their bus quality by price. Greyhound is criminal in their price for their service. Please save yourself this experience and just pay extra for AMTRAK. read more

More of a complaint about Greyhound's spurious overbooking policy, but relevant for this location both because my experience was here and it is likely to be a problem for the Baltimore-NYC route: Greyhound overbooks their trips, and so my bus back to NYC arrived with only five seats available, despite my having purchased a ticket weeks in advance. Well, the driver says the first five people to get to the gate can get on the bus, which is all well and good if you're a big and fast enough person to shove aside a 5'4 woman with a heavy duffle bag. Well, I end up having to wait another hour for the next bus, but because it's a Friday afternoon, we run into all of the I-95 traffic I was hoping to avoid by taking the earlier bus. When I looked into getting a refund because I arrived at my destination 2 hours late, I find that this overbooking is Greyhound's modus operandi, and that if one hasn't specifically purchased a flexible ticket, they won't get a refund for the inconveniences caused by their overbooking. This is despicable, and I will be avoiding Greyhound for all of my travels in the future. read more

Displaced by Grey Hound On Sunday 30 people were displaced by BAltimore's Grey Hound location. The passangers, myself included wanted to get to New York City, the busses out of Washington D.C. were over sold causing 30 passengers to be stranded in Philly overnight. Many passengers have missed their connections home. One of us has been on busses since Thursday. The supervisior told us that Baltimore never called him on our 2 hour and 40 minutes bus ride. Sooo we have a two hour wait... The supervisior here at Philly has been helpful but the customer service at Grey Hound has been terrible round and round. read more

I was really dreading the Greyhound after reading all of the terrifying reviews on Yelp and Google. I was expecting a 2 hour delay at the least. The station itself was fine. I printed out my tickets at home, so I didn't interact with any of the desk people. The building was well-lit and spacious, with many outlets and seats. The PA system was loud and understandable. The only complaint I had about the station was that the wi-fi didn't work. The wi-fi also didn't work for the first half of my bus ride, but I wasn't really expecting much, so it was fine. The bus to Pittsburgh arrived on time, and after a 20 minute rest stop in Morgantown, WV, we ended up arriving in Pittsburgh 5 minutes early. One thing that bugged me about the service was the online bus tracker. Based on that, I believed that I was going to arrive 1, 2, and 3 hours later than the scheduled arrival time. I'm not sure what went wrong there (it worked on the way back), but until I figured out that the bus tracker was wrong, I was a little alarmed. Overall, my experience with Greyhound was positive, and I wanted to leave a review here for other people who are considering Greyhound -- it's not always a sub-3-star experience! read more

This is the designated bus terminal for Greyhound/Peter Pan Buses when you travel down to Baltimore. The station itself is fine as it serves its purpose which is to provide customers waiting for the bus a chance to sit, pee/poop, souvenir shop (don't know why but I guess you can), eat (again don't know why but if you are starving there is a little something to munch on), and entertainment (Anderson Cooper on repeat on both TVs). Then there are the actually customers. These range from well for the better lack of the word "hood" folks, to hipsters (I guess I'd be in this category), to frequent travelers, to day trippers (I guess I'd be in this category as well), to those who are just trying to get home (yea that's me). As I arrived in the late afternoon walking to Downtown Baltimore was well "scenic". There were an abundance of taxis and yes I could have taken one had I known that trekking would have been well slightly unsafe even for a dude. When you walk up the long block it leads you to the Baltimore Washington Parkway which resembles a mixture in between Queens Boulevard (Queens) mixed with New Jersey Turnpike (Jerz), simply put : YOU ARE PLAYING WITH YOUR LIFE TRYING TO CROSS THIS. And apparently I was playing just once, okay maybe more than once on this trip. Besides the gas stations the only other landmark to lead you back to this bus area would be the Granger sign. So on with the trekking on Bush Street (should have went Bayard Street) and it is like 8 mile (reference movie about Eminem's life). Railroad tracks, a widely abandon car repair shop with exception of one or two suspect guys lurking, and a bus depot is all I saw. Once you make that right onto Washington Boulevard and trek East towards downtown Baltimore you travel into a section that most resembles Brownsville (reference Brooklyn). Thankfully I am comfortable with most situations as I've lived in hoods before. And as such even further up the road you have the nicer area leading to what would be Camden Yards (reference MLB). We shall call this section the L.E.S (reference NYC). Yeah you wouldn't want to walk your girl through here. No sir. Lol FYI : Pay for the taxi. read more

So August 24th the initial bus time was scheduled for 7pm, but came at 7:55. I had two young children with me and as much as I was upset, I didn't make a big deal about it. Then on August 26th, the bus 2:40 going to NYC was overbooked. Plus, the driver or agents did not care to allow passengers with children to get on first. I was highly frustrated that I had to wait for a 4:30 bus. Luckily a 3:20 bus arrived (Peter Pan) that I was able to get on. The bus was hot with no AC though. I have a pic of my daughter literally sweating! The agent at this location promised that when I called the customer service number I will receive the $100 voucher due to the inconvenience. I called the customer service rep and he nonchalantly offered only $50. I chatted online with an agent disputing the issue but he ended the chat which I saved. I keep calling the Baltimore station with no response ever. My mom live out in Baltimore, but I will have to find another way out there because Greyhound customer service is horrible and they do not accommodate when they severely inconvenience a customer! read more

I gave this place a 1 star, even though it should be a -5 stars. The only place that was clean was the restrooms. And the only good thing was the food and coffee. Other than that, it was too many flies flying around my son's food, 2 of your employees were very unprofessional. The young lady with the short dreads had a really bad attitude when I asked her about the bus going towards Harrisburg, PA, the other lady with what looked like a braided ponytail literally walked away from the desk soon as I walked up to it, which I find highly disrespectful. All the other employees were nice. Those two ladies I jus mentioned really need to get it together and respect their customers if this bus line ever want my business again. read more

The bus service from Philly was far and reasonably punctual. No gripe there. The bus station in Baltimore is in a truly awful location, with truly awful transit connections and facilities, such as they are. The location is next to the water but in the middle of nowhere, unless you're going to the casino. The location, the transit connections, the temporary facility* -- everything about the place drips with contempt for the passenger. It's almost as if Baltimore is telling you to stay on the bus and just continue on to DC. *Unfortunately, a permanent facility is under construction in the same location. read more

There were so many issues with my experience. We were supposed to leave at 1:05 and we did not even start boarding until 1:45. Not only did we start boarding late, but our bus was overbooked. My friends and I booked our tickets months in advance, so we were supposed to be the first to board. We were thwarted from boarding when we did not have a destination tag on our luggage that were below on the New York to Baltimore bus we had just gotten off in an hour before. Therefore, we had to lose our seats on the bus and get on a bus that we are currently waiting for. The food was overpriced and the bathrooms were DISGUSTING! The staff was extremely unhelpful.
