The Baltimore Greyhound station served its purpose. I bought my bus ticket online, so I didn't need to use a kiosk, but there were 2 available for ticket purchasing & printing. There was also a customer service window with one person manning it. The restaurant area was closed, but vending machines were available. Buses were running on time on Christmas Eve 2025. I only waited for about 15 mins and then I boarded, so no need to arrive super early. There are plenty of hard, busted up seats to sit in while you wait to board your bus. The women's bathroom was clean-ish but didn't have any soap. read more

I had a ticket from Washington DC to Delaware. My ticket provided the departure location. I waited. The bus did not appear at the location. When I went to the greyhound stand I was told the location where I was waiting was incorrect and that greyhound does not reimburse. Even if it's not your fault. There was another person waiting at this location as well. I had to buy same day tickets to get home and they were very expensive. This is my second incident with Greyhound. The first one was when the bus left 10 minutes early and I saw it depart while I was arriving. I was not reimbursed because they tell you to arrive 15 minutes early to allow time for all to board. Third, returning from DC, bus delayed 3 HOURS (bus originated out of DC - huh?!) - was not able to get on a FlixBus that was leaving approximately same time as delayed bus because only one alteration to reservations allowed (see above). Decided to purchase a ticket for that bus, but must use machine (REALLY - agent couldn't do it?) and couldn't purchase because the machine showed only 1 ticket available (needed 3), but driver stated there was room for 3. While waiting to see if we can board the FlixBus (rude driver btw), saw a man give the driver $100 to get on the bus and he took it (isn't that illegal or not company policy?). Ended paying $$$ to take Amtrak - could not wait 3 hours to get back to Bmore - had to get back to take care of my mother. Lastly, fourth, could not get a refund - had to get a voucher for future travel - REALLY?! Refunds should be allowed when it is the company that caused the delay. NEVER AGAIN!!! read more

Disclaimer: This is the first time I have been on a Greyhound in my adulthood. I learned that it is not the way for me, but here is my experience from Baltimore to Savannah. The most disturbing aspect was the bus stop. I was genuinely thought that I was going to a Greyhound station, but no, 400 Ponca St. Baltimore, MD 21224 is a sign outside. Outside. Like you stand by the sign and wait on the corner with your bags. That's an absolute "no" for me. I asked the uber driver to wait with me until the bus arrived at 8:35pm. It was super dark, sketchy, and no staff to tell you where to go. The Greyhound Flixbus came on time. When I purchased my ticket online, I paid the extra $50 for the two seats. Boarding the bus was an easy experience. They scanned my electronic ticket, I found my seats, and got comfortable. The ride was comfortable, smooth and surprisingly on time to Savannah. Things to note: * If you are a person who gets cold, bring a blanket. It gets pretty chilly on the bus. * There are USB chargers at each seat. They charged pretty fast. * There is wifi on the bus. Gratefully, it worked really well. I didnt experience any disconnections. * The bus made 2-3 bathroom/stretch breaks. Each stop had clean bathrooms, food, and snacks. This was nice because you werent forced to use the bus bathroom. * The drivers are only allowed to drive a certain amount of hours and then another driver has to take over. This switch off was pretty swift. * Both drivers were very good drivers; they drove fast, navigated traffic without throwing us around, and made the travel smooth. * The bus stop in Savannah was in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant. So disturbing. Again, no station, no attendant, nothing. I stood in the parking lot with my bags until my uber came to take me to the hotel. Praise the Lord I had wifi because I didnt know anyone in Savannah if I couldnt get an uber. Despite feeling unsafe before and after getting on the bus, the ride was doable. Unless its an emergency and I cant find any other means of transportation, I will never get on the Greyhound again. read more

My friend has not been on a bus ride through Greyhound in several years and had a question a lady was at the booth with a closed sign up, but she was still talking to a customer after about 10 minutes or so she abruptly put the customer to the side and started yelling at people for Not noticing the sign, I have never seen anybody act so unprofessional before in a very long time when we had to say something about it, she looked at us and said what did you say to me? Hello, my name is Takara Owens. I was traveling from Virginia to Philadelphia 10/28/25 Tuesday morning- afternoon. I boarded the bus in Petersburg, Virginia around 9 AM. We drove to Baltimore Station and were told that we had to de-board due to a driver switch as well as bus cleaning. ( which sometimes can be the case, depending on ticket). They informed us that the switch would only take about 20 to 30 minutes. It ended up taking about two hours in total, so about 45 minutes in, I asked the new bus driver when we'll be re-boarding the bus to take us towards Philadelphia , her response was very rude and unsettling. "we're not boarding yet. Do you see anybody boarding the bus !!". My response was "why are you being so rude? All I asked was when we were re-boarding." She then further goes to say "well you're not supposed to be out here you're supposed to stay inside, why don't you go wait like everyone else. I don't know why you're out here asking us questions" as in (herself and the other drivers). But the reason I was asking those questions outside instead of inside was, because I was in the smoking area and I didn't want to chance missing the bus. So then I go to say, "that's not how you talk to people , and I didn't ask you the initial question anyway, while you're being an indignant ass bitch!" Which, I can take accountability for my choice in words. Following that encounter, she says "if you're on my bus you're not getting on" , which I needed to to get home from Baltimore to Philadelphia. So I say "but I paid for my ticket and all this started over a simple question". She expressed back to me "I didn't care" , I go to take to customer service and security about the incident and by that point I was hysterically crying and visibly upset. They tried to reassure me that it'd be fine and to calm my nerves because as long as I didn't threaten her I would still be able to re-board. As this was happening she was walking around outside , laughing and shrugging her shoulders at me , trying to antagonize me , in my opinion .. I said nothing else to her. Another hour or so goes by they start to board and as soon as I put my ticket up to be scammed, she denied it. She waved her hands in a surrender stance saying, "I'm not letting you on my bus you threatened me". which did not happen. She then got on her bus. They let me take my luggage off of the bus, and she took off. I was talking to the rest of the staff (drivers, customer service representative, security and the people that announce the boarding). About not knowing how I'd get home and that this was already my second ticket in the last few days due to me missing my bus that Sunday and that it was not feasible for me to get a third ticket.. Eventually they transferred to a different one by the grace of God and the favor from Another staff member because they saw the whole incident and it wasn't my fault. I think it was a an abuse of power, disrespect to the customers, and inappropriate as a whole. I did not appreciate the experience or feeling of being stranded or left without a way home.. (Which was her goal) which is again inappropriate and with malicious intent. it did not leave me feeling safe with greyhound or comfortable to even travel with greyhound from here on out. I'm not sure what the next steps are for the driver, but I do know that I would like to make sure that doesn't happen to anybody else , I was not able to get her full name but her first name is Helen , she was the driver that was switched in Baltimore. I was supposed to re-board the bus around and make it back to Philadelphia by 3pm but they didn't even start boarding again until 3pm (when I was getting denied). I didn't make it back to the city of Philadelphia until around 8-9 pm that night. I have mixed reviews about greyhound station. Most of the time the buses are delayed over an hour. They also charge $20 to exchange a ticket which is outrageous, I've called more than a week in advance before yo change a ticket and they do not budge on the fee. With prices over $40 to go to Philly from Baltimore and then a $20 exchange fee, you would hope the station offers better food options, is cleaner, and up dated. read more

DO NOT waste your time and money!! Use another bus company because this was my first and last time using Greyhound . Our bus was supposed to leave at 9am heading to Atlantic City. The first delay was to 9:50am then to 11am then to 1pm. I wasn't waiting a PTO day sitting in no bus station so we ended up just driving. Now on to the request for a refund. They are giving my friend and I a hard time trying to request a FULL refund. They want to offer a partial refund in the form of a voucher which is not at all acceptable since we NEVER plan on utilizing this bus company again. We have called and emailed Customer Service and have gotten no where. The Customer Service is horrible! Use Greyhound at your own risk I wouldn't suggest it at all!! I am being generous with the rating but unfortunately I cannot rate less than one star. I have travelled with greyhound a few times and this is definitely the last one, this company should not be on business anymore. My first trip was delayed 2 hours (was supposed to leave at 1:40 pm we left 3:45 pm). we waited more than one hour (after being lied to on the phone many times) until they announced a delay on the app. Unacceptable! Leaving from Baltimore to go in Atlantic City, the bus driver, was rude and nasty nowhere in the world I have been treated like this! If I could give a negative five stars I would. Not only was the bus in disgusting condition. Dust piled so thick, missing light covers with disgusting molded looking particles, a loose panel that made a loud cracking sound every single we hit even the smallest bump, and a dirty sock crammed into a light socket. When brought to the attention of the company they just kept saying they could not give my money back. So I asked to refund my ticket that has not been used to make other travel arrangements and they would not do that either. Greyhound is no longer leading the pack in the bus travel industry. The bus was supposed to arrive at 8:20 it's now 11:21am. I'm taking an Uber back home, what a waste. I was initially delayed over 12 hours coming from Indianapolis Greyhound to New York. I got to this station and another bus was delayed. Fortunately, I was able to pay a kind bus driver working for Peter Pan to fit me on a Peter Pan bus to New York last minute. If not for that, I don't know when my Greyhound bus to NY would have arrived. Could have easily been hours late. My bus starting in Indianapolis left over 6 hours after the original time. I lost the $70 extra that i paid to upgrade my initial trip to an express bus, and paid another $60 to get from Baltimore to NY on a separate Peter Pan Bus. I lost all the extra money I paid. There is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE phone number. You can talk to a representative but any request has to be made through E-mail, and my request through E-mail or messaging was completely ignored after a long message and many hours on the phone with them. This station feels pretty shady, and I was at the Indianapolis and Pittsburgh Greyhound stations on the way, which were depressing, but something about the Baltimore station felt shadier. I got on the final Peter Pan bus of the night around 9:30PM, if I was forced to wait for my greyhound bus, it could have been dangerous because it was late at night and shady characters were sitting down near me and plotting. A lot of tough characters in Baltimore and I am coming from New York. On a side note, the bus drivers on Greyhound and Peter Pan just go ridiculously fast and pass tons of trucks and cars on the left lane. They seem to be going 70 or more MPH but would probably go 100mph if they could. They are driving them accurately just amazing how fast they are going. Upon doing research, Greyhound has completely gone to hell once it was bought out by FlixBus or whatever that German company is, which was around 5 years ago. Drivers don't show up, they don't want to work, and leave passengers stranded for 5 or 10 or more hours in stations past the normal departure time. read more

When I (and other passengers) arrive at the station, we find that the bus already left for DC at 5:47 - 20 minutes early for no reason?? I am later told by the agent that the bus driver "had no passengers on board so she decided to just leave." The cherry on top is that customer service refuses to refund our tickets. Here is a screenshot of a bus scheduled to run last evening 187 minutes after the bus I had bought a ticket for at 4:15. I waited in line for over 3 hours and watched as the first bus did not show up. Neirher did the bus scheduled at 5:05 or 6:10. No one working at the port authority of NYC had any information about whether or not the buses would show or if they did, would or when, they would go out again. I gave up and went back to my daughter's, booked a train and headed, this morning, to Wilmington DE. I applied for a refund according to the policy online (eligible when bus is greater than 120 mins late) and was told, first, that I had taken this trip and that they had validation proving so, which of course was not true. When I pointed this out they argued that I was not entitled to a refund but did not give a valid reason. According to their policy, they owe me $42.97, which they refuse to pay. They caused me great disc I mfort and I security while I waited for a train (for 2 1/2 hours) and my husband waited for me in Wilmington. I bought the ticket because it was cheap and the best option for a nursing student; due to the price, I never knew their customer service was poor, drivers were not reliable, delays in timing, a waste of time and, a waste of strength, and drained me mentally and emotionally. I had to travel from Newark to Baltimore and wait for the bus to be there at 7:30; out of nowhere, the bus got delayed till 9:30. There was no apology email, which was fine; I stayed outside the Penn station to wait for the bus. Unfortunately, there was no bus at the time of the arrival as said. I called customer service and the best response they could give me was, " I missed my bus." I never left the bus station, and I had a witness standing with me who was going the same route. I didn't get another bus until 10:30 and was brought to Baltimore late. There was no place to sleep, and I had to go straight to the hospital without showering while on my period because of the delay on the bus. I got out of my clinical early. I was requesting to get the early bus, and I needed a ticket change; the only option was to add $36 for me to get a change of ticket. I was waiting at the bus station to see if the early bus going to Newark, as said on the app or website, would arrive and if I could make the changes quickly. Unfortunately, there was no early bus, and I have been at the bus station for the past five hours.  If you need your life and time, avoid this bus! After several years of taking other modes of transportation for interstate travel, I recently opted to buy a bus ticket for a trip to New England. Given it was my first time visiting the Haines St. station, I can say with respect to the external appearance, restroom cleanliness, and accessibility this bus station is a welcome improvement over the old Greyhound station on Fayette St. many years ago. Unfortunately for me, these things were overshadowed by a very negative passenger experience. I was waiting in line for a 2:50 a.m. bus to New York whose boarding call was announced at 2:30 a.m. At least 15 people were in line with me ready to board when we saw the bus to NY pull up and the driver get off to smoke a cigarette standing by his bus. Just before our scheduled departure time we all saw the driver get back on the bus and drive away. There was no discussion with the staff at the station, no announcement to us passengers or anything. Instead we all stood and watched as other buses (even those w/delayed arrival) pulled up, drivers came to the doors of the boarding area to count and check in their passengers. The station was due to close at 3 a.m. and still no one provided an update to those waiting for the bus to NY to return! A few of us asked station personnel what was going on but none had an explanation. Long story less long, the 2:50 to NY came back, same driver and everything only this time he manages to come to the door to board passengers---with no reference to his prior arrival and disappearance. In fact he seemed irritated. After boarding the bus, I discovered it was nearly full and the seated passengers had no more info than we did about why the bus left and came back. So imagine, at 3:00 a.m. there was an entire bus of disgruntled passengers and a clearly irritated driver; whose failure to explain anything to anyone caused further delay because no one was cooperating with his requests to create space. The driver even got into a profane shouting match w/a passenger. It was a hot mess! read more

Seems like the last few times I've been to this location, not only have things been a little bit cleaner but it seems updated a little bit. Not sure if it's little cafe offering more items or vending machines actually being stocked. I don't feel worried if I don't have time to grab a bite before hopping on an express bus for a few hours. I'd also say that I have had less problems organization wise the last few times I've been in here. Although there still tends to be issues when buses going to similar destinations get delayed. Kind of becomes a free for all with people trying to figure out where to go or line up. read more

Disclaimer: I don't care if the bus is late, it's how the handle the situation. First time using this service and made an account just for this. Bought 2 tickets about an hour before the scheduled arrival time. When it was boarding time since they didn't call us, we asked an employee and he told us that the boarding time for my trip is going to be in 20 minutes. We went there again in 20 minutes and to find out that the estimated arrival is going to be 2 hours and 30 minutes late. My problem is that a 2 hour and 30 minutes delay doesn't happen in 20 minutes and that they should have told everyone that from the beginning or update the information in the system before someone buys a non refundable ticket. Obviously they don't know how to handle delays, we wasted 2 hours of time, got to our destination late and then instead of handling our situation at their desk, we had to call the company to see IF we could get a refund. Of course we called and they told us it would take 7 to 10 days IF it gets approved. This is a horrible, terrible first experience. Would not recommend it. Will not use it again. I would rate zero stars but I am not offered the option even though it is well deserved. I wasn't expecting anything from the service and still found a way to disappoint me. read more

Disclaimer: I'm not mad that the bus is late. Greyhound, I am sad to see how you operate. I have been thinking about how they could improve things around here as the majority of the people who regularly use these buses are common folk that could really use a good affordable service. That's why I'm also trying to suggest some improvements instead of just ranting. Here we go: So I came to the Greyhound station at 4:45PM to catch a bus that should leave at 5:10PM to NYC. It's been 3 hours and they tell me that the bus is gonna be here at 8:45PM i.e. FOUR hours late. Ok, I understand delays due to bad weather but the service here is horrible. I asked the staff showing my ticket on the phone. They told me to go get a print out of the ticket first at the counter. The kiosks are useless as I can't even print a ticket here. They don't do ANYTHING. Like seriously. And they are ON and they actually fool you to think they work and fail at the last step. I've seen at least 20 people go there and return frustrated back to the end of the queue for front desk. So I went to the front desk and waited 20 minutes to get a print out of a ticket after a lecture about how I'm supposed to bring it. Who uses print outs? Really? (They actually do accept but looks like the staff is unaware except the guy that scans the paper tickets) The baggage tags ( turns out not actually needed) couldn't be printed out coz the printer got stuck. I offered to repair but turns out I can't coz security policy. The front desk lady was actually nice. But she is overworked. I'm guessing that she probably also doubles as something else here. I kept asking every 30 minutes the security personnel here who seems to be answering questions, when the bus is gonna be here. I guess that's also her job. And she just pretty much yelled at me. In my defense, the 3 main reasons why I kept asking her are: 1. They are not showing the delayed buses on the departure schedule displayed in just ONE tv. There are many TV's and they all show NFL. Like SERIOUSLY ALL of them except one hidden near the counter. 2. I couldn't understand the announcements coz the whole speaker system was probably stolen from some knock off warehouse and hurts the ears than it informs. And they speak so fast in a monotone it's hard to decipher. 3. The one and only counter here has a queue that will take 30 minutes to get to the front of the queue to even ask a question. Frustrated, I called the managers number displayed here. And surprise! surprise!! No answer!!! This is the worst service I ever had in America. I'm not from here and have lived here 10 years. America gets great points from me for excellent customer service in many fields compared to rest of the world. Greyhound you won the worst by miles. How to fix this: 1. Fix the kiosks please. You already HAVE THEM. Just USE them. 2. Add the delayed status to the TV's that you should NFL on. That's more useful right here you know. 3. Hire a freaking manager that oversees delays and schedules and is HERE. NOT a picture and a phone number on the wall. 4. Train the staff on common courtesy and customer care and how to treat people who don't speak English like natives. 5. Just try to be on time. If you can't, keep showing how late You're gonna be periodically instead of us having to ask. 6. Accept mobile boarding passes, please it's 2018 NOT 2000. (Update: they do but the staff just made me get print out for no reason) 7. Add backup printers to the cashier at least. 8. STOP abusing the employees - they are humans too. NOT machines There are many other things I can suggest about improving the "flow" and "value" and the "Theory of Constraints" and lean, six sigma and human centered design etc. But please cover the basics first, we will improve shit later. One star is being nice. This place is horrendous- customer service is deplorable, they straight up lied to me when I showed my ticket and asked if this was my bus- then laughed at me 10 min later when I missed my bus. I will reach out to corporate, but I doubt anything will happen. The general lack of human kindness and decency from the girls behind the counter make me never want to use greyhound again. It's been 9 days since I posted this and there has been no response. If I don't receive a response in 2 days I will contact corporate and make sure the person in question looses there job. read more

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE BALTIMORE TERMINAL, NOT THE SERVICE. I take Greyhound/Peter Pan to Baltimore several times a year so I'm somewhat familiar with the terminal. I give it three stars for the following reasons: -It's a full temperature controlled building with a bathroom -It's relatively clean and convenient -It features TVs which show CNN or ESPN -It features vending machines to purchase snacks and goods -It's across the street from the Holiday Inn and the (new) Royal Farms -It's close to the highway so buses don't take forever getting from the highway to the terminal -It's close to the new Horseshoe Casino, and M&T Bank Stadium Overall, it's actually pretty convenient. The service there can be hit or miss, but I try to minimize contact by printing my passes online and hitting Royal Farms or someplace else to get my snacks before arriving. One suggestion that would elevate the convenience of the terminal is to have free wi-fi. For now, I'll take the relatively clean, relatively convenient terminal to facilitate my arrival to and departure from Baltimore. read more

Poor customer service with following back up with their customer. My car was towed from their property. Parked there to use their services didn't know the customer couldn't park there. The signs are not visible for the customer to see. No one has gotten back to on this matter. Staff is rude. If the big people are reading this do something about this. No problems at all!! ONLY thing is a heads up that there is NO parking lot. There is a small one that you can only park in for one hour, nothing more-sign says they will tow. Luckily I was able to find a spot along the road nearby and was safe all weekend. Otherwise, the woman at the desk was friendly, got my ticket easy, got a window seat and was good to go. I did not see where the sockets were to charge anything, but I just slept the whole way so it did not bother me. Will use again read more
