Everything went well! Hotel, tour guide, Sue, in Cape Cod, choice of stops, owner (Mark) was with us and was great

We took the roundtrip "NYC Run", to and from Greenspring Shopping Center, for the first time since before the pandemic. The experience could not have been more perfect. The bus was prompt, modern, quiet and comfortable. Electronic charging station worked well. The driver was polite and professional. The schedule was achieved with precision. Yes, Amtrak might have been marginally quicker, but you're paying for parking at Penn Station (or BWI) and that experience is more costly and often less sanitary. I like the train, but the bus makes more sense if you live anywhere near any of its stops in the northern Baltimore suburbs. One note: the absence of the "bus counselor" (I think her name was Gloria) was a welcome omission. It's a more professional experience without the kitchiness. Doing away with the old Frank Sinatra song in the Lincoln Tunnel would be the next step toward professionalism, but I can tune it out mentally. read more

What a great way to get from Baltimore to New York! Convenient pickups in Pikesville and Towson and drop offs right in Times Square and Rockefeller Center. Superior also offers daily trips to Atlantic City that are essentially free after you get your casino voucher (even though chances are you'll end up donating that money right back to the blackjack table). Plus they do great sports trips - Ravens, Orioles, and they even did a trip to the Ripken Hall of Fame induction. I've been riding Superior Tours for years and I think they deserve 6 stars, but since Yelp only offers 5, I'll give em 5 stars. read more

MISERABLE RIDE! They are not concerned about helping to make the ride pleasant. My family of four and I booked them for a trip to NYC. On the way back I was tired and looking forward to some quiet and rest -- but not on a Superior bus! instead we were forced to watch (on a monitor inches from our faces) a very loud and bright movie which no one in my family wanted to watch and aside from hoped for rest and sleep, was also too loud to allow us to have a conversation, or watch or listen to anything we would have preferred to on our own devices. Because of the monitor placement it was even too distracting to read. Unlike planes where you can (or used to) individually plug into the audio, the set up on the bus was that all the speakers above the seats blasted the sound with no way to individually turn them down or off. When I asked if the volume could be at least lowered - I was told it would be lowered "a notch," but that some people had trouble hearing and they had to keep the volume up. The elderly hostess also told us that they like to play the movies because "it calms the people on the bus down" (?!?) This was insulting and made no sense as it was a quiet group of people, and had the exact opposite of calming - we were miserable!!! There is a reason you no longer see group movies on planes and trains - so that people can watch, listen read or rest according to their own preferences and comfort. Please Suburban respect and care about your customers enough to give them a choice of how they wish to experience their ride. If someone wants to watch a movie the hostess chooses give them some headphones!!! read more

We were going on a cruise leaving from New York and we chartered a 54 passenger bus to take us from Maryland to New York. The bus arrived ON TIME and the driver was professional and friendly, he loaded all of our bags on the bus and we were comfortable with his driving, he was a very safe driver. The bus had comfortable seats with seatbelts, a clean bathroom, WiFi, DVD player (bring your own movies), electrical outlets to plug in your electronic devices and foot rests, the only thing I wish the bus had was reclining seats, but it was not a problem. Leaving, the bus was on time again and the driver was professional, friendly and a safe driver. We are going on holiday again next year and thinking about chartering another bus and Superior Tours will be the bus company we will book with! I Highly recommend them! read more

I was desperate to find transportation from Baltimore to NY that wouldn't cost an arm & a leg, but most of the bus options, although inexpensive, were either terribly reviewed as being unreliable, unprofessional, uncomfortable, dirty, and more. The Megabus website simply (and, as it turned out, thankfully) refused to record my reservation, saying that my payment information was wrong. (It wasn't.) But my sister remembered Superior going a couple of times a week, and from a location just a few blocks away. What a surprise that turned out to be! The driver, Daryl, was totally professional, punctual and courteous, and let me on as a walk-on. The bus was comfortable and clean, including the restroom (!!), with adequate legroom, and working WiFi, USB and power outlets. Only slightly more expensive for one-way (but well worth it) and actually cheaper for round trip than the crappy competitors. And no nightmare scenarios of dangerous drivers, late buses, mechanical breakdowns, etc. This was actually a pleasure. Great job, Superior and Daryl! And a special shout out to Angie in the office who ironed out a billing snag with no muss & no fuss. read more

Service is timely, and drivers are very nice. The bus itself, however, is not well equipped. Wi Fi is pretty much non existing, and only 3rd or 4th seat has an electrical outlet. Will opt out for something else next time. read more

DISGUSTED!!! Do not book your group with this company. My mother was apart of a tour group that booked in advanced with Superior Tours. When she inquired as to why she wasn't placed on the same bus with the rest of the tour group (she and one other person were the only ones who had been placed on a separate bus) she was disregarded and made to wait outside the bus in the dark for over 30 mins while they decided whether they could be bothered to accommodate her. There was no apology for the snafu which was clearly the company's fault. In fact she was treated with disdain!! This USED to be a great tour bus company. As they are "family owned" I can only guess the founding owner has retired and put his evil spawn in charge. After having not traveled with them for over a year, I booked a ticket through Groupon. Groupon customers are basically treated like they belong at the back of the bus. But on to the rest of my story. The customer service rep when I booked my trip was certainly friendly, but just said, "we'll pick you up in Towson, right?" I replied yes, but he neglected to tell me they had moved the pick-up stop for like the first time - ever. I already had theater tickets and I missed the bus because I had no idea where the stop was. Having paid for my theater ticket, I rushed to MegaBus in White Marsh and just barely made it to the theater on time. I called the owner on the way up and told him of my trauma. He assured me that he was "a man of his word" and would honor my ticket for the return trip to Baltimore if I showed up at Rockefeller Center by 6PM. This company has two pick-up stops and changes them throughout the year, for what reasons I do not know. I waited at Rockefeller Center in bitter cold for 45 minutes and they never showed up. I can only guess the owner had no idea they were picking up at their other stop and he didn't bother to check. This wasn't the first time they were late for the pick-up. Previously, I could ask other passengers if they were waiting for them and be reassured. There was no one there to ask. Superior Tours had no answering service for me to reach. Feeling about to get frost bite, I finally checked into a hotel with plastic money and was able to catch Megabus home the next day. After reading a couple of other people's awful experiences on Trip Advisor, I told the owner I would not accept his phone calls. Offering me free bus rides will not make up for leaving me to possibly freeze to death in NYC as the temperature dropped down to 11 degrees. I left him a message telling him specifically NOT to contact me and that I would be sending him my receipts for all of the additional expenses I incurred because he was not a man of his word, like he claimed. Yet, he basically stalked me by phone. I sent the receipts certified mail and they never signed for it. My next step is small claims court for over $200 and I left out the cost of my additional meals. They have two recent complaints against them on BBB and that's no surprise to me. Something is definitely gone awry. I guess small claims court, here I come. He's broken his contract with Groupon at least twice and who knows how many other times? His competition is not on Groupon, and there's good reason for that. read more

I've used Superior for transportation for 2 business outings for my company and I've had a pleasant experience both times. For our most recent booking, our drivers were Sarge and Sam, they arrived about 30-45 minutes before our scheduled depart time, and were very accommodating.Sarge was the lead driver and was especially hospitable. Jeff and Bridget have both been helpful anytime I call in for reservations and changes. Furthermore, the prices have always been fair, and consistently lower than other local charter companies! read more

We went to NYC from Baltimore. We were picked up about 20 minutes late in Maryland, which wasn't a big deal since we got to NYC in good time! Of course, the driver stopped on the side of the road about 3 separate times to close a door that apparently kept popping open. Although, he never announced why we kept stopping, finally a passenger asked and we overheard him tell her. He was also very rude, so no one really wanted to have any interaction with him. We were to be picked up the following day at 6pm. We were 15 minutes late reaching the pick up spot (which was our fault- we went to the wrong place first), and they left us. Even though we had a reservation and two small children in tow. They had our phone number and I'm sure it wouldn't have been convenient for them (as Jeff at Superior repeatedly told me), but why did they take the number if that didn't intend on using it for emergencies like leaving people in NYC with no way to get home! The worst part about the entire situation, besides having to catch a Greyhound Bus and getting home at 2 in the morning, was Jeff from Superior actually berated us (two women) for being so careless as to be late. He called us while we were on the Greyhound Bus (after I called the company to see what we could do) to argue about how his drivers can't wait on everyone and that they communicate very well about where and when the pick ups are. He offered to refund us for the ride back, but then called the next day to say after talking with his driver, he wasn't going to honor the refund and started arguing AGAIN! It was horrible! Especially after the long night I had of trying to find a way home for us! I DO NOT recommend this company. Customer service is the WORST!! read more
