Greenwich Pharmacy is an independent pharmacy, not part of a large corporate entity like CVS or Walgreens. It has a boutique luxury store vibe. They offer free delivery locally (see their website for details). Once, when I had a question about a generic brand, I called and the pharmacist was very knowledgeable. After having a bad experience with a low quality generic drug (from a big name pharmacy in NYC), I'm picky about where I fill prescriptions. Top notch service. Dmitri and the staff are always so helpful in ways we didn't even know they could be. We've had a few emergencies here and there where we needed a backup script filled on the fly, and they never hesitate to jump in to help us - even calling the physicians on our behalf to obtain the prescriptions. Even though they don't take insurance directly, they take great care to make sure you have the proper documentation needed to submit to insurance. I have been using Greenwich Pharmacy for many years and cannot say enough good things about them. They are truly a family pharmacy and treat you like a valued patient and friend. I've had many challenging situations that the staff has always helped to resolved. Then today when I was having a crisis, Dmitri simply said "don't worry, we'll get this fixed" It's rare to find this type of care anywhere. They go above and beyond just filling prescriptions. And the retail store carries products that are incredibly hard to find, even in Europe. If you've not used Nuxe Oil, buy some now and thank me later. updating my review. this month i picked up an rx that the pharmacy does not accept insurance for. paid over 1k. the medication is a controlled substance. i opened the bottle and found that two of the capsules were in fact Tylenol. Please Please when you pick up from this pharmacy check that the pills you're getting are actually what you need and not swapped in Tylenol. read more

Epic failure After calling 4 times talked to different people they delivered half of my medication. After calling them they blamed me!!!! Don't do business here unless you want to stay sick, pay for medication you don't get , and be called a liar! Truly unbelievable I went in to the pharmacy to prove with the paperwork what I had received and been charged for . The pharmacist was incredibly rude, " found" the medication after a search behind the counter . He Never apologized, or took responsibility for his mistake. I have been using Greenwich Pharmacy for over 12 years. They have always been very helpful and courteous every time I go to the store. If I call and ask that my prescription be ready at a certain time, it always is on time and waiting. If I chose to have it delivered they would do that at not charge. To have such a great Pharmacy like this in the neighborhood is rare. The staff is always helpful and the pharmacists are the best. My wife and I walked in today hoping to find something unavailable at another pharmacy. We were both absolutely shocked to see that not one of the pharmacists, including the manager, behind the counter were wearing facemasks inside the store at work. We saw 5 employees in total, not one wearing a mask. And communicating with all the customers on line like that. Why the customers would patronize a pharmacy during a pandemic where are not one of the employees thought it'd be a good idea to wear a face mask - at any place of business let alone a place where potentially sick people are in and out all day with no mask is beyond me. I have been forced to use this pharmacy because they are one of the only locations locally that has a particular medication in stock reliably, but I will never go here again. Donald the pharmacist is so rude it borders on abusive. I have seen him scream at several customers on more than one occasion. I have had three doctors ask me why I go there because they have been so offended by Donald. Every interaction with him is unpleasant at best. Independent pharmacies are getting more rare and it's so unfortunate that the owners/managers of Greenwich Pharmacy seem willing to allow this pharmacist destroy their business. read more

Wow, what attitude for a store that wasn't even on the Avenue years ago with a sales associate who tells you that the New Canaan store with the same name has nothing to do with it -- WRONG AND RUDE. In addition, go there on a legal holiday as they stupid have tacky, loud and ugly Versace china out by the door and some sort of buns. They are pissed off that no one is going to the store and they hate that they are new kids in town -- the store lost its old slot near Whole Foods. In addition, they don't like that Blue Mercury, Sephora and really other better stores that don't have prescriptions are near them. One sales associate seem to hate her job like putting makeup on women is demeaning to her GED only and maybe two years of college. She didn't speak Spanish or another Romance language in front of any one. Her makeup was great on her face but her attitude was really like I am superior. Unfortunately she didn't go to a good college and almost used her nail to poke herself in the eye. She argued with me over what product has scent when I have a bigger and more refined scent ability than she did -- the customer is sometimes right. Two employees only were there and not as big as the one in New Canaan. Watch out and be careful as they aren't nice to everyone all the time. read more

Wow just absolutely wow, moved into town from San Diego and was looking for a good friendly neighborhood pharmacy for myself and my family. When I came inside the employees greeted me with warm smiles and took me through their beautiful selections that they had. I met the people in the back I think one of the gentlemen's name was Dimitri. And all I have to say is every medication I needed they had in stock and somethings that my insurance weren't able to cover they went out of there way and found coupons that covered some stuff which I really appreciated rather paying top dollar they helped me save a good chunk of my money. Please beware if you use this pharmacy. They told me my prescription was "not covered" & charged me $100 per month for over a year. After a little research, I discovered the prescription was covered, but just needed a simple pre-authorization from my doctor, something Greenwich Pharmacy never bothered to obtain & never bothered to tell me. They blamed the entire thing on my doctors office. They allege faxing my doctor 6 times to obtain the pre-authorization. I requested proof of this, which they could not provide. I asked numerous times to see the date/time stamped faxes that they sent to my doctor supposedly 6 times. They failed to prove it. They couldn't provide even 1 fax with a date/time stamp transmission, let alone 6. My doctors office says they have no record of Greenwich Pharmacy ever faxing them. The staff at my doctors office was appalled that Greenwich Pharmacy was trying to slander their office by blaming them for something they in fact did wrong. I went to CVS. It took them less than 10 mins to call my doctor, get the pre-authorization & then give me my prescription at ZERO cost to me. I wonder how many other customers Greenwich Pharmacy is doing this too? I wonder how many other doctors offices they are blaming for their own wrongdoings? read more
