I picked up a prescription here today, when putting it away once I was home I noticed that they had given me the wrong dosage. Depending on what type of medication you take, this type of error can be fatal. Fortunately for me I noticed the error before taking the medication. However, if you're like some people, who take medication like blood thinners, heart medication etc. it could be life threatening. To add insult to injury when I called the pharmacy to inform them of the error, I was on hold for over 25 minutes before hanging up out of frustration. I plan to drive back there and speak to someone directly. To say the least ,this has been a hassle. Also if you use this pharmacy please make sure that you are checking the medications you are being given before taking them. read more

The CVS at 99 Greenwich Avenue always gets some bad press.. I want to "Thank"the Pharmacy staff for all they do.. I have never had a problem with the group lead by Reuben the Pharmacist.. they are kind, smart and efficient.. I never get an attitude from any of them .. great communicators .. I always receive a text when they receive the scripts and notifications from them when they are ready to pick up.. I have been on Pain Management medications for many years due to a dozen fractures to my back.. I have never gotten any attitude from the staff which I have to say I did at other Pharmacies in Town (never from the wonderful Grannicks who unfortunately went out of business)...they are a wonderful bunch.. Pharmacy department has been in crisis for several weeks. According to store personnel, CVS management has closed some area stores and expects remaining stores to handle Rx volume of those stores in additional to their existing volume. They're unable to answer phones so if Rx is time-sensitive -- and aren't most of them? -- you need to go into the store, stand in line and make sure they prioritize your Rx. Before I figured this out, one Rx sat "in process" for exactly a week until I drove over and brought it to their attention. Then they were able to fill it within slightly over an hour. I personally find this unacceptable and, while very sympathetic to the poor folks behind the counter, am now having all time-sensitive Rx sent elsewhere. read more

They have a big a$$ con game going on where despite however you attempt to get your prescription filled, you will not have it filled until you show up , wait on the line and then wait again in the store to have them fill it then. 100% of the time. Total BS. They make up lame excuses for why they do it, too. Now, this little game doesn't sound so bad unless, of course, you're really sick and your doctor called in your much needed prescription, you wait 5 hours for an alert that it's filled that never comes, you go there and wait on the freakin line to find out WTH happened, are told to wait for it to be filled, find out 30 mins later they don't have that medication in stock and GEE IT'S TOO LATE, STORE CLOSING, I SHOULD GO FIND ANOTHER 24 HR PHARMACY THAT MIGHT HAVE IT. Nice staff and they are pretty well stocked but be prepared to wait in line for a while Especially at the pharmacy! I've waited over 30 minutes there countless times at diff times during the day. I would give less than one if I could. Issues: always at least a 30 minute wait for pharmacy; no way to check to see if prescription ready, so u can wait just to learn "they never got the prescription" even though my doctor sent twice and has two confirmations of sent and received. The worst pharmacy in the area! They will notify you by text that your medication is ready for pick up, and then when you get there, you will find a huge line to only be told that it is no longer ready! There is not enough staff here! Between the pharmacy and the front of store, there is ALWAYS a line. I won't be coming back here again... plenty of other CVS's in the area! read more

Horrendous. On their finest day sadistic! After 3 day of endlessly waiting on the phone for a prescription I went in this morning. First we called because the CVS app said it was in progress! I spoke to an arrogant technician who in front of my eyes changed the status of the prescription! She told me to hold an never came back to the phone. To start, over the last 5 years this CVS has not lifted one finger to convey health and safety even through Covid. The store is unkempt, dirty, stained carpet, and has an overall unsanitary oder. The prices keep going up up up to provide CVS corporate with consistent revenues but the bottom line is that we as customers get NOTHING and deal with gross conditions. Further to the overall poor condition of this store and many other CVSs in the area (the Gold Coast as in one of the richest areas on the east coast-HA HA HA!!!) the pharmacy and pharmacy staff could use a huge improvement! My medical/prescription information has time and time again been publicly announced so many times that I cringe when I need to go inside to pick up. The only perk to this particular CVS is it has a drive through, however now they close it whenever it suits them, or have staffing issues (that's a speculation), etc. The end result is the same; park, enter, take elevator and finally enter the store, walk all the way to the back and ultimately wait , standing still for up to an hour on line, minimum 10 minutes. If they don't see a line of 2 or 3 or more they ignore you and work on something else until the line gets longer, super!!! My times free, right?! Seems like many CVS stores OF LATE are having staffing problems, especially the pharmacy. I think CVS needs to look within and start polishing up their business plan before they lose even the most dedicated patrons. I used to look forward to saying hi to the regular pharmacy crew and now I don't recognize anyone. Oh and at the RyeBrook location (182) the new pharmacist has come up with new rules on when or how to count days on anything controlled. This pharmacy has a (comparatively) great selection and grocery section including "rarities" such as sprite cherry zero!! The location is ideal too-- right near a bunch of medical buildings!! My cashier was very nice, so no complaints there. Why four stars? An ice cream I can get at at stop n' shop for $3.50 was almost $7.00 here... that's quite a mark-up CVS! TF?! I always have a great costumer service experience with Jackie she is beyond patient and respectful and quick. Sometimes the situation is not the best but she gets through very well. Slowest pharmacy anywhere. Long lines, never have meds when you get to line, text you repeatedly to pick up refills and when you go to pick them up they don't have that ready either. understaffed. First of all, why is this store carpeted?! It's gross and outdated and not hygienic. More importantly, the pharmacy was exceptionally rude and annoyed with me as I tried to understand why my husband's prescription was not being covered by insurance. Not the best CVS I've ever been to, and when they first opened, they lacked a lot of items that the CVS near me had. Considering I no longer need those items, I have no idea if they ever stocked them here. I like the building itself, though. Large, with lots of windows. They do not have a self checkout, so be prepared to wait on a long line because there are usually only 1-2 cashiers working at a time. read more

Place is horrible! Whether you're waiting online inside or in your car outside, they always make customers wait...sometimes up to thirty minutes online. It is a busy pharmacy, I will give you that.... but the lack of basic human compassion and the crazy high amount of human error at this particular location makes me wonder if any of these pharmacists have any amount of training. Constantly mislabeling and misreading things, long lines due to entry errors and confusion and communication issues, and on top of that being absolutely nasty and ignorant after making everyone wait several times for their prescription to be processed because of an entry/processing error, and ignoring them while they stand there waiting to be called. I hope whatever regional manager there is for this area takes notice to improve things, as I am so sick of constantly seeing people so upset here (myself included). read more

They always make an error and get nasty when I try to help them. Even when they realize they are wrong, they never apologize or change their tune. I am on Suboxone and it has saved my life. I'm coming up on 5 years sober. I went to this CVS this morning to pick up my script. After going back and forth for 10 minutes at the drive thru I asked if I should come inside. The woman said yes. I go inside. As I'm standing there waiting the pharmacist, MS. BHARGAVI PATEL says with an attitude "Are you waiting for me?". At that point I had no idea who she even was. So I said "No, she told me to come in and I'm waiting for her". Then the girl tells me they are out of stock of Suboxone. When I ask if they can transfer it to another CVS, they say no. At that point, MS. BHARGAVI PATEL (who is sitting behind a computer across the pharmacy) yells loudly in front of everyone, "The reason we are out of stock is because we already give too much of it to you people". I was stunned. I've never seen something so unprofessional from a so called "doctor". To shame an innocent customer trying to pick up her script because you don't agree with the medication is disgusting. I walked out in tears. It amazes me that someone with such a lack of compassion made it to that position in life. MS. BHARGAVI PATEL, if you are reading this, I will pray for you. I will pray that your children or loved ones never face addiction issues. And I will pray that if they do, they won't have to deal with the same lack of compassion from their mother that I did. The pharmacy at this CVS is horrible. The people that work there do not know what they are doing. I get a voicemail that my prescription is ready for pick up and i go there and they can not find it. They are extremely disorganized in the pharmacy department. The lines at the front check out are very long. Why doesn't such a modern CVS have a self check out line. The cashiers are very slow. I disagree with the nsysayers. I take some meds that most pharmacies don't stock. CVS gets them quickly (a couple of hours to overnight, including Saturday and Sunday). They are good communicators and have never failed to call me when necessary. The service from the smaller independent I used to rely on wasn't nearly so good. I agree the pickup que is sometimes a little slow, but the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and gives every customer undivided attention. CVS also has a simple yet powerful app that lets you know when your prescriptions are ready. And don't forget the drive-uo window. I've lived here a long time.
