This 24 hour CVS located in White Plains New York was much better than average. They took genuine concern in my friends health and did everything legally possible to get him the inhaler that he needed. Based on my experience, I would recommend them and use them again. This place has gotten increasingly worse over the years. Former employees used to be nice at the main register and happy to help. The bumbling idiots at the front desk now don't know left from right. One person at the front had to call for help 3 times for 1 transaction. The manager/supervisor came out addressed the problem only but then refused to help other customers on-line. He would then disappear only to be called back again moments later to give the cashier help. This used to be a great store (shout out to Mike who had been in the pharmacy and was great) and now I plan to go elsewhere . read more

What is the point of having an automated system that cannot help you. Most doctors send in the prescription and only tells the patient what it is for, not the name of the prescription. You called they ask you a million questions, then tell you to leave a number and someone will call you back in an hour. This is horrible to treat people who need their medication. The lines are almost to the front of the store. The staff is no help. The consultation is just a bad if not worst. I regret getting prescriptions filled at this CVS. There are no good pharmacies. What happened to the pharmacies-where they were friendly and knew your name and you didn't have to wait almost 45 mins to get a prescription. read more

Had a bad experience paying a bill at other cvs locations so I came here. Thankfully I was in and out, this location has a good combination of self checkout and register with employees. Overall good experience here, way better than the one across from City center. read more

I like to think it's open 24 seven and including the pharmacy but I don't like the fact they don't carry reusable bags I pay the dollar or or so for a reasonable bag. I don't like the paper bags they break every time I use them otherwise this place is actually pretty good. Absolutely awful service at the pharmacy never getting another prescription filled here again! They don't pick up the phone, they stated they purposely ignore it because they're too busy. The line is always stretched into the aisles. It doesn't matter if you're actually in the line, they call people from the sides to jump to the front of the line anyway. Last prescription was in process of being filled for 1 week then unexpectedly was put "on hold" for no apparent reason. Had to go in and ask what happened and no one could provide any answers then had another 2 day wait for it to be filled. Disgraceful customer service, very short staffed, everyone has a bad attitude. I Love CVS! Its open 24 hrs, the Employees on the Floor couldnt be nicer or more helpful, Alex, The Manager, is always around when I have questions or need a coupon, shhh, and when they are out of a product, they know a Truck is coming that night and will be there the next day. They have so many things I need like basics for the House to the Dog to Cosmetics to a Sore Throat. There is a Pharmacy, which does usually have a line, but they sre less expensive then mom and pop Pharmacies. I never spend less then an hour plus there. read more

Pharmacy line is so long it's ridiculous. I went there 4 times today, each time I just did not have enough time to wait till my turn (this is like 30 min waiting). Since it was the last day of prescription pick up I tried to call cvs at 10:30pm- both the pharmacy and the front desk- I waited 1.5 hours and no one answered the phone. They are open 24 hours but if employees are taught to ignore customers then place should just be open when they are willing to serve customers. So I waited 1.5 hours for front desk only to be told nothing they can do. After 2 hours pharmacy picked up. I asked when is the best time to pick up prescription med as lines are always ridiculously long. His recommendation- 12 midnight! This is just out of control.. avoid sending prescriptions there at all costs! read more

Only things good I can say about this pharmacy is that they are open 24 hours and have free parking. They don't answer the phone unless you call at times like 1 AM. his posting is about the CVS pharmacy at 325 Mamaroneck Avenue, White Plains, and this note concerns events commencing July 10, 2023 which were discourteous at best, downright rude at worst. On July 10, 2023 I received a text message stating: "James, your Rx LI will be auto-refilled in a few days at CVS Pharmacy. We'll text you whit it's available. Visit CVS.com/rf for more options." I received no further communication. On July 23, 2023, when I was down to my last three pills (I take three a week), I called the pharmacy and utilized the automated features. I was advised that my prescription would be ready for pickup at 1:00 p.m. I went to the store at roughly 3:20 p.m. After standing on a three-person line for 20 minutes, I was ready with my name and birthday. I was advised that the prescription would be filled in another "20 or so" minutes. I mentioned that I was advised to pick up the prescription at 1:00 p.m. I was told I "could not rely" on the automated system; that it was "broken." I asked why they could not fill the prescription immediately and was told "there is a backlog of 200 prescriptions." Outraged, I demanded a manager, and was told that he or she was not in. Meanwhile, there were about six people in the pharmacy area, laughing and talking casually among themselves. I then asked for the store manager. The "store manager," dressed in slovenly clothes, sent someone back to the pharmacy area with me. She took about five or ten more minutes before she asked anyone what was happening and was told that the prescription was further delayed. There was no sign of hustle or diligence. At 4:00 p.m. I walked out of the store with my prescription, an otherwise lovely day ruined. There was absolutely no sign of concern or caring; not even an apology. read more

My experience was at the Minute Clinic where I booked a COVID PCR test. I arrived on time - there was no staff and after the only nurse was done with a patient, she closed the door behind her and started taking personal calls (I could hear through the door). So I knocked to ask what was going on and she told me I was too late - . I then had to escalate with the store manager, who apologized and was sorry for the nurse behavior. Alas, the nurse took no responsibility nor she apologized. She called me 'rude' for knocking at the door while she was making her 15 minute long personal call. CVS is not great in general, but this store hit rock bottom for me. read more

Also a separate convenient walk-in medical "Minute Clinic" providing basic medical treatments. Saves going to the hospital emergency room in many cases. Minute Clinic? More like hours long clinic...CVS customer service is incredibly inconsistent. There are some CVS' with great customer service, especially the pharmacy / Minute Clinic. Unfortunately, the Minute Clinic at this White Plains location is horrible: the staff is disorganized, unhelpful, and rude. I scheduled vaccine appointments for my son (under 5), and all three appointments were laughably bad experiences. The first: they claimed not to have record of our appointment, even though I had checked in successfully at the digital kiosk, *and* had a printed out email confirmation of the appointment, inclusive of: date, time, and location. The entire ordeal took 2 hours, being sent back and forth between the pharmacy and the Minute Clinic, being pushed further back in the queue. The 2nd dose appointment was made for me at the 1st, for 9:30AM on a Sunday. When I showed up that scheduled Sunday, it appeared that the clinic opens at 10AM on Sundays - ha! Why would the attending pharmacist make me an appointment for before they opened? No worries waiting half an hour, but when the pharmacist showed up that they were incredibly rude and unapologetic, and forgot to notate the 2nd dose on my son's vaccine card. And finally - today I showed up for the 3rd and pray final dose, only to be rudely told that the clinic had run out of doses. They claimed they had called and left me messages - they had not. I will be finding a different location for this 3rd dose. What a waste of time this entire experience has been. read more

Before I moved to Westchester, I didn't often visit CVS. In White Plains especially, CVS has an outsized presence, to the extent that there are three within walking distance of where we live! Luckily for us, the 325 Mamaroneck location is closest, as this is simply a great store. First, the customer service is almost off the charts. They use a modified greeter system, where someone greets incoming customers while also helping out customers using the self checkout stations at the front of the store. There is one gentleman in particular in this role who employs a near perfect blend of friendliness, humor, and competence. But I have to say, I don't think I've had one bad experience with any employee in the retail part of the store, and I've been here many times. Whatever CVS, and this location especially, is doing to find and train its employees seems to be working incredibly well. This location is open 24 hours, has free parking, and stocks a surprising number of items. It is good though to be mindful of sales, as regular prices on most items are borderline exorbitant. The pharmacy part of the operation is not quite at the same level as the retail side. It's fine, nothing terribly wrong, but doesn't have as outstanding customer service. read more

Minute Clinic is horrible. I get sinus infections a lot and know when I'm getting one. The nurse on staff refused to prescribe me antibiotics because my symptoms haven't lasted long enough (meaning a week) aka my two day congestion/headache wasn't enough. I'm really annoyed I took the time out of my day to go when I'm clearly going to have to go back to a doctor again to treat this. It was a waste of my co-pay and I would have to pay again if my symptoms persist. I sincerely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. City MD is right down the street and there's an actual physician on staff plus they don't charge you if you have to come back for the second visit (provided its related to your first visit). Regret going to minute clinic - I would do city md if you're in a jam. Rookie mistake on my part. Side note: the place smells and I already can't smell because of my sinus infection but literally it smells like shit. CVS is definitely due for a carpet cleaning!! read more

BE AWARE: If you want to get a Covid antibody test, the one they do at CVS is completely useless. I just went there with my 86 year-old mother, she tested positive for antibodies, but they didn't tell us until AFTER she took the test and spent the $69 that the CVS antibody test indicates either prior Covid infection OR vaccination! In other words, the test is absolutely useless if you've been vaccinated - but they don't tell you that until after you pay the money. They also have a questionnaire where you indicate your insurance coverage, and her case Medicare, but then Medicare does not cover the CVS antibody test. Thank you CVS for your deceptive practices and your ability to rip off old people. read more

I really have to balance out some of the negative experiences regarding this CVS pharmacy. I moved to White Plains during the summer, and hands down this location is far more attentive and efficient than the one I had dealt with in Yonkers for over 15 years. As a 24 hour pharmacy - there is a greater likelihood that they will have the medication you require in stock. read more

Pretty much any time I ever go to the pharmacy here I have to wait on line and it moves very slowly. Sometimes there are multiple employees, including a greeter, in front where no one is even needed and only two people at the pharmacy. It seems the people working pharmacy lately are not actual pharmacists and don't really know what they are doing. If it doesn't have to be an actual pharmacist at the pharmacy counter than why not have other staff members back there to move the annoyingly long lines along instead of a greeter? To be fair, it often seems like people picking up their prescriptions also have no idea what they are doing, asking questions and being confused and making things take longer. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a CVS. I was in New York for my grandfathers funeral and needed to enlarge some prints. There was only one person working in the middle of the store and he didn't know anything about the photo area. The photo printer timed out as we couldn't find help. Finally after being there for almost half an hour we did get the cashier to help out but that was after rude service from other staff and finding out the bathrooms were broken. read more

This CVS is run in a pretty inefficient manner. I went to the "pick up" window where I was told they had no record of my daughters prescription order. I was then told that I have to stand on another line in the "drop off" aisle to inquire as to whether he order was "pending" because this line was only for orders that are "ready." I asked: don't your systems interact and can't you tell if the order is pending -- she said "no". Then I asked "how about you talk to your colleague who is 10 feet away and ask the question. She said "no". Seems like a small thing, but it's poor customer service in light of the circumstances that lead parents to the CVS pharamacy ie, a sick child. read more

Got "all circuits are busy" several times, then finally got through and put on hold for literally over 30 minutes, while trying to determine if they have a medication in stock for someone just discharged from hospital, very serious situation.
