I have a hatred for this place. I had a burning up fever (over 102 degrees) and my doctor placed a z-pak prescription here since they deliver. I kept calling the main line to see if they could deliver to me since I was too sick to move, but the phone kept going straight to voicemail. I tried calling about 10-15 times and same thing kept happening. I had to then have my doctor call the prescription over to another commercial pharmacy across the street. Stay away from this place because no one should be stressing out when they're already sick! Worst part is, since I couldn't speak with them, they already charged my insurance and I had to pay full price out of pocket for my new prescription. Screw this place. read more

This place is wonderful, as are the people who work there. We had so much trouble with getting a script filled by phone for a sick relative from CVS - all sorts of issues.... couldn't deliver, couldn't get charge to work, multiple people told us different things, etc. etc. etc... I decided to give Regal a call - they couldn't have been nicer, and within a half an hour, they had transferred the prescription, and delivered it by 2 PM! We will transfer all prescriptions to this wonderful pharmacy. Am very happy to give a small business our business! read more

Great place. Local Mom and pop store. The staff are great. Very friendly and helpful. I've known them for 12 years since I moved into this area. They know and ask how family. The Pharmacist Robert will always explain about any medication if you ask him. They work with you and your insurance companies to get you the best price they can give you. Smells awful. Like a moldy closet. We stood at the pharmacy counter for ten minutes and weren't acknowledged at all. We needed to get medicine to my daughter, who was in pain. Meanwhile we're standing there like idiots not having any clue how much longer it might be before they even decide to say hello. This isn't the first time I've waited only to be acknowledged as I'm turning my back to leave. Lady at the counter was nice, but the pharmacy department needs TLC. read more

I started using Regal Pharmacy about 8 months ago. They are the best pharmacy in the Riverdale neighborhood. The pharmacist, Robert, is professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and very helpful. He is the consummate professional. I've used a few other pharmacies in the area, and Regal is simply the best. I'm very happy to have found Regal. I'll never go anywhere else. read more

This is a "mom & pop" type pharmacy. With the exception of the relatively short hours of operation (9 to 6 most days; closed Sundays), the care, professionalism, and courtesy are great. I did have to go to a CVS one time in the past year to obtain an uncommon drug. This did not dissuade me from staying with Regal. Pharmacist Robert is the best. read more

Unreliable for PCR covid test. You think you're getting the result via email after 3-4 days. NOPE! no messages from this pharmacy. Thank God I went to to get my Rapid test on those mini "portal" places in Manhattan and after 20 minutes I got the results (via email). I presented the results to the hospital who needs it for my medical procedure and I'm all set. I bet if I called them to release or email the results they will charge me $35. I gave them my Insurance ID and all and no email. VERY , VERY UNRELIABLE. I will not recommend this pharmacy. Go somewhere else. Note: this was my experienced. read more

I had a really traumatizing experience with this pharmacy. This was the first time I have experienced discrimination, especially in my own neighborhood. I walked in just as a couple had finished getting COVID-19 tested. I asked the lady that works at the pharmacy if they had any COVID-19 testing available and she replied that they didn't (I was the only customer in the pharmacy at that moment). She told me they only get 25 tests per day and that they have already reached their quota. I turned around and began to walk out as another customer (caucasian) walked in to inquire about COVID-19 testing. I stayed by the door to watch what she would tell her (something in my gut felt like she was not being honest with me). She tells the lady "Yes, go to the back". I could not believe it! I walked back in and asked her why she had told me there were no tests but had told the lady that they were? She did not even have a valid answer other than "Read outside." She couldn't even look at me in the eyes. She proceeded to say "You have to pay" (as if I had no means to). I replied, "That's fine, I will pay for it!". I explained to the customer before me what had happened and she was even baffled and confused, she even offered me to get the test first. I was so upset, I asked my partner to go in himself sometime later and see how they treat him. Of course, they turned him down and said that they couldn't take care of him and to come back 20 minutes later. He came back a few minutes later only to see that they were giving 3 tests at that very moment. He asked why they had denied him tests but now someone else is getting them. The difference between the customers that got services and us that were denied was race. When you feel it in your gut that people are being unjust, listen to it because most likely it is discrimination. read more

DO NOT go here for a covid test. It's a chaotic and disorganized process, and no one knows what they are doing. It's a tiny store, employees and customers do no have their masks on correctly and people were not respecting any kind of social distancing (this is while I was trying to take the swab). In addition, it's been a week and still not have received my test results -- you are much better off going to some place else. read more

My elderly parents lived in Riverdale for many years. They used Regal Pharmacy for many years, and were extremely happy using them. They were accommodating, reasonably priced, and extremely NICE. Very rude and hostile staff, particularly one woman who berated me when I repeated what the pharmacist had told me (that my order was in the frig.). Incredibly unprofessional in behavior, exhibiting hate and discrimination towards my person. This was a $300 order, not a fifty cent postcard that I was purchasing, however, they do not deserve my money or business. Better to shop where staff have people skills, and behave in an appropriate manner. read more

I would love to support this store but every time I have gone in - over many years - they have been very rude to me. I recently tried again and went to get a document notarized; he was again quite rude, plus he wanted to charge me for each signature, even though it was one document... I have had so many issues with this pharmacy. I really do like to support mom and pop drugstores but these guys are terrible. They have delivered my medication to the wrong house, MULTIPLE times with zero apology. Once they told me very late in the day that they wouldn't have a prescription i needed for that evening leaving me scrambling. In fact they only had half of the dose I needed so they said "can't you just take half?" Also they don't even have an automated system to call in refills after hours. read more

I came to get a document notarized and the men who did it have a The NASTIES actitud the whole time like it was for free. When he was done with my document he Threw all my stuff (document, ID card, and change) like an animal back at me. I felt humiliated and discriminated. Worst experience ever. Regal Pharmacy rocks! The staff treats you like a "friend of the family." They know me by name and always offer the BEST customer service. The Pharmacists are top-notch and are informative and responsive to my questions and needs. They offer free delivery, which is particularly helpful when you are feeling sick and under-the-weather or when you just can't make it over there to pick up your meds. It's also a great store offering everything you might need when sick, as well as small gifts and various accessories such as reading glasses and grooming tools etc., A throw-back to a time when businesses knew how to treat their customers! 5 stars. The pharmacists are often rude, particularly Robert. He treats customers with contempt. The people at the counter often keep you waiting while they talk to one another. Regal does not have a website, which is another disadvantage. I once put in for a delivery for medication, and I did not receive it. I had to go to Regal and was told that the pharmacist forgot to put in for delivery. I did get my medication, however. It was a sloppy error. A pharmacist and staff member made cracks about the medication I am taking, which is terribly poor service and humiliating to a customer. They have no idea how I would suffer without the medication. I took my business elsewhere, and I am glad I did. Regal Pharmacy does not deserve my business, and they will never get it again. I would not recommend Regal to anyone. read more

The landlord that owns the building just enforced a draconian parking policy that had my wife's car towed. Seems you can buy something from the stores in the building, but if at the same time you supported the tenants there with purchases, you cross the street to buy something from Starbucks you will get towed. I called Regal to inquire about this policy and the woman on the other end of the line was extremely rude and for some strange reason took what i was asking personal. It's very easy to take my business somewhere else more oriented to customer service. read more

They have made sure that their medicine is ready as needed, and is in easy to use containers (which the pharmacists carefully prepare). In my experience, this is the best pharmacy in South Riverdale if you need to have a prescription filled and can't afford to waste your time waiting your turn at a big chain pharmacy only to find out that they don't have your medicine in stock. Without fail, Regal had whatever medicine I needed in stock every time I showed up with a prescription that one of those ubiquitous pharmacies that proliferate on every corner was unable to fill on the spot. It seems that with a space a quarter of a size of those chain drugstores, Regal manages to have much fuller stock than they do, earning this custmer's loyalty. read more

My mom has switched all of her prescriptions to Regal and loves their gift items as well.They have gorgeous bags, reading glasses, and a huge assortment of Lifesavers. Regal is good for shopping, but NOT for prescriptions. They didn't respect my privacy, talking about my medicines where anybody could hear them. The same thing with other patients and their medicines. The business went WAY downhill after the original proprietors sold it. read more

Definitely almost all the staff seem to be angry or looking annoyed, BUT there is no rhyme or reason to it- either you get nice and easy or encounter the most rude and angry staff. I swear even the women at the register may throw you a nasty look, it can be infuriating. I lived 2 minutes from the pharmacy and get the same meds every month but after they once delivered me the wrong meds due to another woman having my name and than was screamed at by the pharmacist's tech on duty who had signed off on it for 2 hours trying to blame me (????) even though the bottle clearly had my name but the wrong address on it; That's when I said enough- Ill schlep to the city, and chose to use my old pharmacy in Manhattan. I think most people who have lived in the area forever and are known by the staff get good service but if they are in a "mood" or you are not that well known, the "family feeling" so spoken about in other reviews becomes mean and ridicules. I don't need any more stress than I have when it comes to all things medical these days and boy if they are in a bad mood, you will feel it. If you are not elderly or look younger than you are, and are not well known, Id go somewhere else. read more
