I find the pharmacist to be kind and comforting. It's important to support neighborhood staples.

Efficient, helpful, always have what I need. Not the smiliest crew but they're friendly. Highly recommend over CVS

Came for a flu shot. This place blows. Some of the staff sucks, whole-heartedly…read more I was able to set up my appointment without issue, although being able to set an appointment two minutes prior to that appointment, when confirmation requests that you arrive to the appointment at least five minutes early, might cause some issues for others. I arrived at the pharmacy during a time they are having a renovation. There was no signage directing customers where to go for vaccination check-in. That particular counter is currently blocked. Other customers were also confused as to where to go, for prescription pickup, drop-off, etc. I waited on line and was called to the counter by an employee. When I got to the counter, someone from behind then handed her a package, and she proceeded to call out another customer's name, telling me to the wait until she took care of that customer, despite calling me up first. I waited again, and after some time, a young lady with long blonde and brown braids, acted as though she was checking me in, but did not check me in, and may have been confused regarding how to complete the process. Instead of asking a coworker for assistance, she sent me to another counter to pass the buck. After waiting an additional ten minutes, I had to ask aloud, if anyone was working at the counter. Finally someone came, took my info but could not find me in the system, and brought me back to the initial counter I went to when I first arrived. She kept saying she couldn't find me in the system. I told her repeatedly that I had an email confirmation and QR code. After repeating this multiple times, she finally scanned the code, which didn't work, and then manually entered the code, which did work. I was finally checked in and told to wait, which was not long. The person administering the vaccines called me and proceeded to give me the flu shot. The set up is quite unhygienic. She did not clean the area at all and I witnessed her vaccinate two other customers before me, without cleaning the surfaces before or after working with them. I would have thought that being in Pelham, this CVS would respect it's customers more, but based on the reviews and ratings I see online, this is not the case. It is unfortunate. If I had been elderly, not tech savvy, or uninformed, I would have waited there and been turned away due to the employees failure to exhibit the basics of customer service. Please reevaluate your pharmacy staff. They are lacking. I will say that I was met with much help while on the floor. After receiving my shot, I went shopping for some cold meds and other items. Two employees noticed that I looked a bite lost and asked me if I needed assistance. I was taken aback and probably would not have even bothered asking them, just based upon my experience with the girls in the pharmacy section. These women, however, were very helpful and directed me exactly where to go. I also needed help at self checkout and two other staff members assisted me when they saw that I was having trouble. I guess they're not all bad eggs but the pharmacy section definitely needs a revamp on attitudes and customer service. Wanted to add...you're supposed to received a discount for a future purchase, for getting your flu shot administered here but they never gave me anything or told me how to redeem the offer. I completely forgot about it until I took my husband to another location for his shot and he was able to purchase items with the discount.

The pharmacy staff watches TikTok while checking out clients. That pretty much sums it up.read more

They were supposed to deliver it and because they couldn't reach me in person for a six dollar copayment. (my prescription benefit was paying for The Bulk of the cost.), they failed to deliver the medicine this afternoon and now I am really sick. Also, they asked me for my phone number to verify it when I called, but they called my daughter instead who lives in another state to say that they couldn't process the payment. Really? They verified who I was my personal information including phone number and they verified my pharmacy information to make sure that I had it and they quoted me the six dollar copayment and they promised that they would deliver this today. I that I couldn't get over there. I told I had a UTI and I even told them I was leaving an envelope for the delivery taped to the door because I had to work. So after having an account there for years and always paying copayments and having a pharmacy insurance coverage that they verified, for $6 I couldn't get an antibiotic for a bad UTI, when they are being paid for the prescription through insurance.? why confirm my information when they don't call me for personally? why not call my daughter for the six dollars when they can't reach me? Instead, I am left hanging tonight. The worst part is I have some kind of a credit there that I always see on my receipt. Why not use the credit which I can never figure out how to use anyway?

I traveled from manhattan to get my ADHD meds filled after being told the day before my prescription would be ready. When I arrived I was told my script wasnt there, so I spent another HOUR trying to get a hold of my doctor to get it resent. After I finally got it resent , 2 people told me it would be filled and ready in 10 min. Then Christina didn't allow them to because she said I lived "too far" and it was policy since they needed to save adderall for people in the area. And then she said they didn't have any after 3 people have already said they had it in stock.... She definitely was lying to me and treating me so rudely. With the time and effort I put in to get there/ work with the people there I was honestly so speechless. She basically had a GTFO attitude and it definitely felt like she profiled me. If you want to be treated like a human, don't go when she's there

THEY WILL NOT ANSWER. Then when you schlep your way over there you'll find 6 people behind the pharmacy counter, 2 registers with only ONE person working it with a line going halfway down the isle! Now here's the part that really tightens my jaw with them is the fact that I take a pretty common medicine that I MUST take every day without fail. I'll finally get to the counter to get the refill only to be told (and rather rudely I might add) that they don't carry the medicine, and will have to order it! OK then, when will it be ready i asked? IN 4 DAYS!! Meanwhile I've been getting the med FROM THERE FOR CLOSE TO A YEAR!! Did I mention how rude the young women are behind the counter? With fingernails so long that you have to wonder how they can perform the simplest of tasks nevermind personal hygiene. In closing if you're thinking of changing pharmacies for THIS one, don't. I'm going to switch back to CVS on Bronxwood. Yes, I'd rather trek over there than continue to give my business to this particular Wrong-Aide. Avoid this place like the DMZ.

I asked an employee if he worked there because the shirt, he had on didn't even say Rite Aid on it, but it was the color shirt that the employees usually wear which is why I asked. He then has proceeds to have this annoyed look on his face and replies with a "Yes?". Then, when I take my things to the self-checkout which I use frequently since there is either never anyone at the register or don't go to the cashier because their customer service sucks, a woman walks up to a cashier politely stating that she needs helps getting something out of the case. The cashier then replies, " ring the bell". It's not what she said but it's the way she said it. She's making it seem as if she doesn't want to do the job that SHE applied for. Nobody asked her to be there she choose to be there. I understand that people have bad days, but the way these employees act it seems like its every day. As a person who has been a grocery store cashier for 3 years during the pandemic while in college, I understand you're going to have bad moments, but you don't need to take it out on people that have nothing to do with your situation. We all have things going on, they should all be thankful that they at least have job since it's too hard to find nowadays. I'm not the type write bad reviews, but it's been going on for so long it needed to be said.

Up until today I had been coming to this pharmacy since the day they opened. In the last year or…read moreso I've noticed bare shelves, an unusual amount and types of things locked up- but mainly bare shelves. Back in April a medication was prescribed for me- and CVS sent me a text saying they were contacting my physician in regards. When I questioned it I was told they were awaiting a reply. Moving onto July 2nd now, a much required medication was prescribed for me and I was told each day through the holiday weekend that CVS was waiting for a refill. I had yet to receive my first scrip. After calling the Dr office and texting nurses and clinicians- several electronic requests went through and CVS each time denied receiving them. My Nurse eventually called them directly and put the order through. 9 hours later I respond to pick up the order and was told I need to speak to Drop Off after waiting in line 24 minutes. The young lady basically tells me it wasn't started bc it's not paid for by insurance. I tell her I'm aware and that I will pay for it. It's 90 tablets, 6 refills, no small scrip. It's been 5 days of actively pursuing this mind you. I'm at the register- my meds come out in a bag- I pay, go home and open the bag to discover it's not 90 pills, but rather 09. I return and show them the scrip, ask them how could the instructions provided even account for a 3 day regiment, let alone 30 days with a total of 9 pills. So it was determined an error on their end was made and I waited another 45 minutes. The counter girl wanted to take the old 9 pills back and the pharmacist said I could keep it. I asked were there 90 pills in that container or 81. The cash register associate told me the bottle says 90, so there's 90, so I had 99 total. The pharmacist chimes in there are 81. Back to 90. ....at least it's not 89.... or 09. Sloppy. If the container held 81 because I had 09 in another bottle- let it be so! I am convinced now that the delays I experienced with the electronic scrip service was in fact CVS in its entirety. Someone was deleting scrips, or at the very least entering it wrong. This displayed a lack of attention to detail in doing a job right. Some personal integrity, is sorely lacking at this pharmacy as of late. This is what sinks companies. I will never again shop at this store. I will take my business to the other store on the north end where shelves are always fully stocked, and mistakes like this are unheard of.
