It's kind of weird to see so many complaints about the service here. I've always been treating pretty well here. Even taking my passport photos. There was a mom with a young infant taking a passport photo on the counter on its back with the mom shaking a foil bag of snacks to get him/her at the camera. The worker was very patient and I was entertained though I had to wait. They haven't lost any packages or manhandled anything yet so I've got no complaints.

I peaked through their packages and can clearly see my packages and then finally the guy (not the manager- he did not show up anymore, hiding at the back of the store) looked again and said, "yeah your package is here. I am glad I insisted them to check otherwise I would be going around for a package that is already 1 week late in delivery. Sucky service.

Many of the aisles were bare. This was weeks ago and there were no markdowns yet in early June. Back to the ice cream, I have often chosen pistachio, cookies n cream, or chocolate malted crunch. Inexpensive and good ice cream! I have seen Thrifty's ice cream in the frozen aisles at grocery stores. Sure, I can purchase 'em there and have it at home. Have gone to this location a couple of times, another in Torrance and in Norwalk for my scoop ice cream and friend's/fam's scoops. They were always generous scoops too. Aw, thanks for the memories!

But as luck would have it, I came close to running out, so I needed to make a pharmacy run for more. I had a bit of time to lookup where I'd find what I needed most affordable and CVS came up. And even a nicer surprise: the items I got had an additional discount simply by adding a phone number (being a CVS shopper and all.) TIP: expect a really long receipt if you opt to have it printed. But take a few seconds to look through it - you can avail even more discounts for future purchases. It was a convenient and good first run. Will come through again should I find myself in this neighborhood with a pharmacy need in the future.

For example, today an elderly lady picked up several medications while 6 other people were waiting behind her in line. The cashier had her give out her name and date of birth three times, and the name of her doctor, and her insurance information. The pharmacist was called over for a consultation (which should have been at the "consultation counter) and went over her medical condition and how to take the medication. All of us on line were appalled that this information was being divulged so publicly, especially in these days where identity theft is so rampant. I spoke to the same pharmacist later and voiced my concern and his response was to speak more softly next time. But I made it clear conversations like his (and the cashier) should be considered confidential - period. Other than that this isn't preferred CVS and I go there all the time.
