absolutely horrible experience today. i received an appointment from myturn.ca.gov to get my covid-19 booster here. when you schedule, it tells you that vaccines are free, and having insurance is not necessary. this has been the case since vaccines became available and has not changed as of yet. i arrive to my appointment and let her know i don't have insurance, and she tried to send me away saying "the government doesn't cover this anymore and you need insurance". i know my rights and i received this appointment FROM A GOVERNMENT WEBSITE, so i stood my ground and she reluctantly agreed to administer the shot. she also tried to argue that my boyfriends kaiser HMO isn't accepted either. we weren't trying to get a prescription medication here, we came to get the vaccine which is free for anyone, regardless of insurance. i was already terrified as i get anxiety before a shot, and she made this experience god awful for us. after she administered the shot, she just said ok you're done and left. this is my 4th covid shot and every single time i've been told to sit for 10-15min to make sure i don't have any reaction to the shot. all this aside, parking here is not free and they don't validate at the pharmacy (supposedly). we were here for 20 min and the extremely rude parking attendant told us the total is $4, while sighing and being upset that we interrupted her tiktok viewing. then we had to park again and go to the ATM inside the building as she wouldn't accept a card payment, and the ATM charged us a $3 fee. so we ended up having to pay $7 total for 20 minutes of a nightmare experience. avoid this place by any means necessary and get your covid booster somewhere that understands patient rights and laws. read more

In addition, she is genuinely concerned about my welfare. She gets a 5. I have been a client of Rx for quit sometime and I am so glad my Dr upstairs recommended them I didn't even know they where there it would have saved me a few years of headache with two big name pharmacies. I can say maybe by the third time they all knew my name and life story and I am always greeted by smiling faces and some good old fashioned chit chat! Their turnover is not often and was sad to see one of the Techs move on but I am always happy to see Cynthia and Shea. They never hesitate to answer all and any questions or concerns and if they don't have something I am looking for besides my medication they are more then happy to see if they can get it. Calling is a pleasure as their is almost no waiting listing to elevator music and being on hold for 1/2 to speak to anyone like most Box / chain places that you all know who I mean. If they don't have one of my meds they have a delivery service and the prices are more then reasonable especially during an emergency situation. Their is almost never a wait and if I have too it's not stressful because they have comfy chairs , snacks and always good conversation. I think what surprised me the most was on my Birthday and a few other occasions I received some great little surprise gifts in my delivery of my favorite vegan protein bars and New Years was Shampoo and conditioner. I hope I don't get them mad for sharing that but I always get a nice sticky note with a thank you from the girls and a ! As much as I would not like to have to use any pharmacy I have nothing but the best things to say about Rx and the whole staff who kind of feel like family.
